U travnju 2007. Reid Stowe i Soanya Ahmad isplovili su škunom Anne, nakrcanom stotinama kilograma špageta, riže, oraha, konzervi i druge nekvarljive hrane, iz New Jerseyja i zaputili se na debelo more. Cilj im je bio provesti barem 1000 dana na moru bez uplovljavanja u neku luku radi opskrbe i četiri puta oploviti ​zemaljsku kuglu.

U veljači iduće godine, Soanya je morala napustiti brod jer se ispostavilo da je tijekom plovidbe zatrudnjela. Reid, koji se dva desetljeća pripremao za ovaj pothvat, nije ni na trenutak pomislio prekinuti ga i pristati u neku luku. Radiovezom je pozvao druge brodove i zamolio da netko preuzme Soanyu i odvede je u najbližu luku.

Nastavio je plovidbu u potpunoj samoći, te proveo još 846 dana na moru prije nego što je vidio Soanyu i prvi put svoga sina Darshena. Oborio je dotadašnji rekord u broju dana na otvorenom moru, ali nije uspio četiri puta oploviti svijet.

U travnju 2007. Reid Stowe i Soanya Ahmad isplovili su škunom Anne, nakrcanom stotinama kilograma špageta, riže, oraha, konzervi i druge nekvarljive hrane, iz New Jerseyja i zaputili se na debelo more. Cilj im je bio provesti barem 1000 dana na moru bez uplovljavanja u neku luku radi opskrbe i četiri puta oploviti ​zemaljsku kuglu.

U veljači iduće godine, Soanya je morala napustiti brod jer se ispostavilo da je tijekom plovidbe zatrudnjela. Reid, koji se dva desetljeća pripremao za ovaj pothvat, nije ni na trenutak pomislio prekinuti ga i pristati u neku luku. Radiovezom je pozvao druge brodove i zamolio da netko preuzme Soanyu i odvede je u najbližu luku.

Nastavio je plovidbu u potpunoj samoći, te proveo još 846 dana na moru prije nego što je vidio Soanyu i prvi put svoga sina Darshena. Oborio je dotadašnji rekord u broju dana na otvorenom moru, ali nije uspio četiri puta oploviti svijet.

U travnju 2007. Reid Stowe i Soanya Ahmad isplovili su škunom Anne, nakrcanom stotinama kilograma špageta, riže, oraha, konzervi i druge nekvarljive hrane, iz New Jerseyja i zaputili se na debelo more. Cilj im je bio provesti barem 1000 dana na moru bez uplovljavanja u neku luku radi opskrbe i četiri puta oploviti ​zemaljsku kuglu.

U veljači iduće godine, Soanya je morala napustiti brod jer se ispostavilo da je tijekom plovidbe zatrudnjela. Reid, koji se dva desetljeća pripremao za ovaj pothvat, nije ni na trenutak pomislio prekinuti ga i pristati u neku luku. Radiovezom je pozvao druge brodove i zamolio da netko preuzme Soanyu i odvede je u najbližu luku.

Nastavio je plovidbu u potpunoj samoći, te proveo još 846 dana na moru prije nego što je vidio Soanyu i prvi put svoga sina Darshena. Oborio je dotadašnji rekord u broju dana na otvorenom moru, ali nije uspio četiri puta oploviti svijet.
