Kopnena jedrilica koju pokreće isključivo vjetar, ‘Horonuku‘, jedriličarskog tima Emirates Team New Zeland zabilježila je rekord od nevjerojatnih 222,4 km/h na jezeru Gairdner u Južnoj Australiji, prenosi sail-world.com.

Pilot Glenn Ashby upravljao je ovim čudom nazvanim horonuku što znači ‘klizi po zemlji‘ i oborio rekord pri brzini vjetra od 22 čvora. Vjeruje da jedrilica može ići i brže.

Rekord još nije služben, te se čeka potvrda sudaca FISLY (Federation Internationale de Sand et Land Yachting).

Riječ je o projektu Land speed koji zapravo pokušava pomaknuti granice u aerodinamici, strukturnim silama, metodama gradnje i materijalima. Stoga su smislili ovu neobičnu jurilicu za testiranje na pješćanom tlu, kako bi vidjeli rezultate i primjenili ih u suvremenim jedriličarskim natjecanjima poput America‘s Cupa u kojima glavnu riječ ima najnovija tehnologija posebice foiling, uz ljudski faktor.

Novozelanđani polažu velike nade u osvajanje America‘s Cupa, što im je zapravo, pitanje nacionalnog ponosa je kako se kažu, na Novom Zelandu je više jedara nego ljudi. Sponzorski su jako pa ih pomaže tvrtka Emirates.

Kopnena jedrilica koju pokreće isključivo vjetar, ‘Horonuku‘, jedriličarskog tima Emirates Team New Zeland zabilježila je rekord od nevjerojatnih 222,4 km/h na jezeru Gairdner u Južnoj Australiji, prenosi sail-world.com.

Pilot Glenn Ashby upravljao je ovim čudom nazvanim horonuku što znači ‘klizi po zemlji‘ i oborio rekord pri brzini vjetra od 22 čvora. Vjeruje da jedrilica može ići i brže.

Rekord još nije služben, te se čeka potvrda sudaca FISLY (Federation Internationale de Sand et Land Yachting).

Riječ je o projektu Land speed koji zapravo pokušava pomaknuti granice u aerodinamici, strukturnim silama, metodama gradnje i materijalima. Stoga su smislili ovu neobičnu jurilicu za testiranje na pješćanom tlu, kako bi vidjeli rezultate i primjenili ih u suvremenim jedriličarskim natjecanjima poput America‘s Cupa u kojima glavnu riječ ima najnovija tehnologija posebice foiling, uz ljudski faktor.

Novozelanđani polažu velike nade u osvajanje America‘s Cupa, što im je zapravo, pitanje nacionalnog ponosa je kako se kažu, na Novom Zelandu je više jedara nego ljudi. Sponzorski su jako pa ih pomaže tvrtka Emirates.

Kopnena jedrilica koju pokreće isključivo vjetar, ‘Horonuku‘, jedriličarskog tima Emirates Team New Zeland zabilježila je rekord od nevjerojatnih 222,4 km/h na jezeru Gairdner u Južnoj Australiji, prenosi sail-world.com.

Pilot Glenn Ashby upravljao je ovim čudom nazvanim horonuku što znači ‘klizi po zemlji‘ i oborio rekord pri brzini vjetra od 22 čvora. Vjeruje da jedrilica može ići i brže.

Rekord još nije služben, te se čeka potvrda sudaca FISLY (Federation Internationale de Sand et Land Yachting).

Riječ je o projektu Land speed koji zapravo pokušava pomaknuti granice u aerodinamici, strukturnim silama, metodama gradnje i materijalima. Stoga su smislili ovu neobičnu jurilicu za testiranje na pješćanom tlu, kako bi vidjeli rezultate i primjenili ih u suvremenim jedriličarskim natjecanjima poput America‘s Cupa u kojima glavnu riječ ima najnovija tehnologija posebice foiling, uz ljudski faktor.

Novozelanđani polažu velike nade u osvajanje America‘s Cupa, što im je zapravo, pitanje nacionalnog ponosa je kako se kažu, na Novom Zelandu je više jedara nego ljudi. Sponzorski su jako pa ih pomaže tvrtka Emirates.
