Svašta se po moru izgubi. Nekad je krivo nevrijeme, a ponekad i jednostavan nedostatak pameti. Bilo je to negdje početkom 80-ih kad je posred kanala između Grebena i Kalamote kod Dubrovnika, u smiraj mirnog ljetnog dana pronađen narančasto-crni spinaker od nekih 60 "kvadrata" kako pluta uredno spakiran u sak. Po cijeni radničke marende spinaker je našao novog vlasnika jer je bivši vjerojatno već "našao drugog".

Na drugom kraju svijeta, na obalama Newfoundlanda ribar Jason Burton je u lipnju prošle godine izgubio 6,5 metara dugi čamac tipa Osprey 210 kojeg je vukao u teglju dok je iz matične luke odlazio na ribolov na kapeline u Conception Bay. Punih četrnaest mjeseci kasnije, njegov je čamac pronađen na drugoj strani Atlantika; kod otoka Vega u Norveškom moru. Burton se prisjeća da je u to vrijeme prošle godine vjetar puhao s 25 čvorova, što za tamošnje prilike nije ništa strašno. Kako je vjetar slabio, posada se opustila i nije više pazila na tegalj…sve dok u nekom trenutku nisu vidjeli da Ospreya nema… Tražili su ga nekoliko sati, a onda gubitak prijavili kanadskoj Obalnoj straži. Nekoliko dana kasnije javili su im da je jedan suplajer uočio čamac nekih 200 kilometara dalje od mjesta gdje je vjerojatno nestao.

Kako je Osprey bio prevrnut, suplajer ga nije ni pokušao "salvati" jer bi čamac, kojeg na površini drži "zračni jastuk", vjerojatno potonuo onog trenutka kad ga okrenu. Četrnaest mjeseci kasnije pronašli su ga volonteri norveške eko udruge "In the Same Boat" (U istom čamcu) koja se bori s mikroplastikom koja zagađuje svjetska mora. Osprey je bio nasukan na stijeni i trebalo je dva dana čekati dovoljno jaku plimu da ga skinu sa stijena na kojima bi se jednog dana vjerojatno raspao i pretvorio u mikroplastiku. Osprey je očito solidne građe i neće se više vraćati na obale Newfoundlanda. Udruga "In the Same Boat" će ga popraviti i dati mu novu namjenu, rekao je njihov predstavnik Rold Hogset. (J. K.)

Svašta se po moru izgubi. Nekad je krivo nevrijeme, a ponekad i jednostavan nedostatak pameti. Bilo je to negdje početkom 80-ih kad je posred kanala između Grebena i Kalamote kod Dubrovnika, u smiraj mirnog ljetnog dana pronađen narančasto-crni spinaker od nekih 60 "kvadrata" kako pluta uredno spakiran u sak. Po cijeni radničke marende spinaker je našao novog vlasnika jer je bivši vjerojatno već "našao drugog".

Na drugom kraju svijeta, na obalama Newfoundlanda ribar Jason Burton je u lipnju prošle godine izgubio 6,5 metara dugi čamac tipa Osprey 210 kojeg je vukao u teglju dok je iz matične luke odlazio na ribolov na kapeline u Conception Bay. Punih četrnaest mjeseci kasnije, njegov je čamac pronađen na drugoj strani Atlantika; kod otoka Vega u Norveškom moru. Burton se prisjeća da je u to vrijeme prošle godine vjetar puhao s 25 čvorova, što za tamošnje prilike nije ništa strašno. Kako je vjetar slabio, posada se opustila i nije više pazila na tegalj…sve dok u nekom trenutku nisu vidjeli da Ospreya nema… Tražili su ga nekoliko sati, a onda gubitak prijavili kanadskoj Obalnoj straži. Nekoliko dana kasnije javili su im da je jedan suplajer uočio čamac nekih 200 kilometara dalje od mjesta gdje je vjerojatno nestao.

Kako je Osprey bio prevrnut, suplajer ga nije ni pokušao "salvati" jer bi čamac, kojeg na površini drži "zračni jastuk", vjerojatno potonuo onog trenutka kad ga okrenu. Četrnaest mjeseci kasnije pronašli su ga volonteri norveške eko udruge "In the Same Boat" (U istom čamcu) koja se bori s mikroplastikom koja zagađuje svjetska mora. Osprey je bio nasukan na stijeni i trebalo je dva dana čekati dovoljno jaku plimu da ga skinu sa stijena na kojima bi se jednog dana vjerojatno raspao i pretvorio u mikroplastiku. Osprey je očito solidne građe i neće se više vraćati na obale Newfoundlanda. Udruga "In the Same Boat" će ga popraviti i dati mu novu namjenu, rekao je njihov predstavnik Rold Hogset. (J. K.)

nevjerojatnoIzgubljena norveška barka viđena 200 kilometara dalje od mjesta nestanka: kasnije otplutala čak do Kanade!

Svašta se po moru izgubi. Nekad je krivo nevrijeme, a ponekad i jednostavan nedostatak pameti. Bilo je to negdje početkom 80-ih kad je posred kanala između Grebena i Kalamote kod Dubrovnika, u smiraj mirnog ljetnog dana pronađen narančasto-crni spinaker od nekih 60 "kvadrata" kako pluta uredno spakiran u sak. Po cijeni radničke marende spinaker je našao novog vlasnika jer je bivši vjerojatno već "našao drugog".

Na drugom kraju svijeta, na obalama Newfoundlanda ribar Jason Burton je u lipnju prošle godine izgubio 6,5 metara dugi čamac tipa Osprey 210 kojeg je vukao u teglju dok je iz matične luke odlazio na ribolov na kapeline u Conception Bay. Punih četrnaest mjeseci kasnije, njegov je čamac pronađen na drugoj strani Atlantika; kod otoka Vega u Norveškom moru. Burton se prisjeća da je u to vrijeme prošle godine vjetar puhao s 25 čvorova, što za tamošnje prilike nije ništa strašno. Kako je vjetar slabio, posada se opustila i nije više pazila na tegalj…sve dok u nekom trenutku nisu vidjeli da Ospreya nema… Tražili su ga nekoliko sati, a onda gubitak prijavili kanadskoj Obalnoj straži. Nekoliko dana kasnije javili su im da je jedan suplajer uočio čamac nekih 200 kilometara dalje od mjesta gdje je vjerojatno nestao.

Kako je Osprey bio prevrnut, suplajer ga nije ni pokušao "salvati" jer bi čamac, kojeg na površini drži "zračni jastuk", vjerojatno potonuo onog trenutka kad ga okrenu. Četrnaest mjeseci kasnije pronašli su ga volonteri norveške eko udruge "In the Same Boat" (U istom čamcu) koja se bori s mikroplastikom koja zagađuje svjetska mora. Osprey je bio nasukan na stijeni i trebalo je dva dana čekati dovoljno jaku plimu da ga skinu sa stijena na kojima bi se jednog dana vjerojatno raspao i pretvorio u mikroplastiku. Osprey je očito solidne građe i neće se više vraćati na obale Newfoundlanda. Udruga "In the Same Boat" će ga popraviti i dati mu novu namjenu, rekao je njihov predstavnik Rold Hogset. (J. K.)
