Maersk je objavio kako je u ponedjeljak, 10. srpnja, i službeno preuzeo prvi kontejnerski brod s pogonom na metanol na svijetu.

Riječ je naime o tzv. feederu, manjem brodu za razvoz kontejnera kapaciteta 2.100 TEU, dugom 172 metra. Prvi je to od ukupno 25 ‘ugljično neutralnih’ kontejnerskih brodova s pogonom na zeleno gorivo – metanol, koje je u srpnju 2021. godine Maersk naručio u južnokorejskom brodogradilištu Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. Brod će pod zastavom Danske ploviti na baltičkoj ruti između sjeverne Europe i Botnijskog zaljeva, koji se nalazi između obala zapadne Finske i istočne Švedske, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Maersk je prošlog mjeseca objavio da je ISCC certificirani zeleni biometanol za prvo putovanje broda osigurao OCI Global. Prema ugovoru, OCI Global (Euronext: OCI) ovog ljeta će Maersku isporučiti zeleni biometanol s ISCC certifikatom za prvo putovanje broda prema sjevernoj Europi preko Sueskog kanala. Plovilo će se opskrbiti gorivom u nekoliko velikih luka na putu, uključujući luku Rotterdam.

Danski brodarski div postavio je ambiciozne ciljeve održivosti, s ciljem da postane ugljično neutralan do 2040. godine, čak desetljeće prije većine drugih kompanija u pomorskom sektoru. Kompanija je također postavila kratkoročne ciljeve koji pozivaju na 50% smanjenja emisija stakleničkih plinova koje ispušta Maerskova flota te 70% smanjenja emisija s terminala, sve to do 2030. godine.

Kako bi ispunio te ciljeve, Maersk je naručio dodatna 24 ‘zelena’ broda s pogonom na metanol, uključujući 12 brodova od 16.000 TEU i šest brodova od 17.000 TEU. Ovi brodovi gradit će se u brodogradilištu Hyundai Heavy Industries, s isporukama tijekom 2024. i 2025. godine. Još šest brodova od 9.000 TEU gradi se u brodogradilištu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding u Kini, a isporuka je planirana tijekom 2026. i 2027. godine.

Novi feeder, prvi kontejnerski brod s pogonom na metanol na svijetu, nosit će ime Laura Maersk. Službena ceremonija krštenja ovog broda održat će se u rujnu u Kopenhagenu.

Novi kontejnerski brod porinut je u brodogradilištu u Ulsanu u Južnoj Koreji početkom travnja, a krajem tjedna lipnja brod je prošao četiri dana ispitivanja na moru kako bi se testirala njegova oprema. Ursula von der Leyen, predsjednica Europske komisije, imat će čast biti kuma brodu na ceremoniji u Kopenhagenu, kada će i službeno započeti nova era u kontejnerskom brodarstvu, piše The Maritime Executive.

Maersk je objavio kako je u ponedjeljak, 10. srpnja, i službeno preuzeo prvi kontejnerski brod s pogonom na metanol na svijetu.

Riječ je naime o tzv. feederu, manjem brodu za razvoz kontejnera kapaciteta 2.100 TEU, dugom 172 metra. Prvi je to od ukupno 25 ‘ugljično neutralnih’ kontejnerskih brodova s pogonom na zeleno gorivo – metanol, koje je u srpnju 2021. godine Maersk naručio u južnokorejskom brodogradilištu Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. Brod će pod zastavom Danske ploviti na baltičkoj ruti između sjeverne Europe i Botnijskog zaljeva, koji se nalazi između obala zapadne Finske i istočne Švedske, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Maersk je prošlog mjeseca objavio da je ISCC certificirani zeleni biometanol za prvo putovanje broda osigurao OCI Global. Prema ugovoru, OCI Global (Euronext: OCI) ovog ljeta će Maersku isporučiti zeleni biometanol s ISCC certifikatom za prvo putovanje broda prema sjevernoj Europi preko Sueskog kanala. Plovilo će se opskrbiti gorivom u nekoliko velikih luka na putu, uključujući luku Rotterdam.

Danski brodarski div postavio je ambiciozne ciljeve održivosti, s ciljem da postane ugljično neutralan do 2040. godine, čak desetljeće prije većine drugih kompanija u pomorskom sektoru. Kompanija je također postavila kratkoročne ciljeve koji pozivaju na 50% smanjenja emisija stakleničkih plinova koje ispušta Maerskova flota te 70% smanjenja emisija s terminala, sve to do 2030. godine.

Kako bi ispunio te ciljeve, Maersk je naručio dodatna 24 ‘zelena’ broda s pogonom na metanol, uključujući 12 brodova od 16.000 TEU i šest brodova od 17.000 TEU. Ovi brodovi gradit će se u brodogradilištu Hyundai Heavy Industries, s isporukama tijekom 2024. i 2025. godine. Još šest brodova od 9.000 TEU gradi se u brodogradilištu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding u Kini, a isporuka je planirana tijekom 2026. i 2027. godine.

Novi feeder, prvi kontejnerski brod s pogonom na metanol na svijetu, nosit će ime Laura Maersk. Službena ceremonija krštenja ovog broda održat će se u rujnu u Kopenhagenu.

Novi kontejnerski brod porinut je u brodogradilištu u Ulsanu u Južnoj Koreji početkom travnja, a krajem tjedna lipnja brod je prošao četiri dana ispitivanja na moru kako bi se testirala njegova oprema. Ursula von der Leyen, predsjednica Europske komisije, imat će čast biti kuma brodu na ceremoniji u Kopenhagenu, kada će i službeno započeti nova era u kontejnerskom brodarstvu, piše The Maritime Executive.

Maersk je objavio kako je u ponedjeljak, 10. srpnja, i službeno preuzeo prvi kontejnerski brod s pogonom na metanol na svijetu.

Riječ je naime o tzv. feederu, manjem brodu za razvoz kontejnera kapaciteta 2.100 TEU, dugom 172 metra. Prvi je to od ukupno 25 ‘ugljično neutralnih’ kontejnerskih brodova s pogonom na zeleno gorivo – metanol, koje je u srpnju 2021. godine Maersk naručio u južnokorejskom brodogradilištu Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. Brod će pod zastavom Danske ploviti na baltičkoj ruti između sjeverne Europe i Botnijskog zaljeva, koji se nalazi između obala zapadne Finske i istočne Švedske, prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Maersk je prošlog mjeseca objavio da je ISCC certificirani zeleni biometanol za prvo putovanje broda osigurao OCI Global.
