Davne 1620. godine su engleski separatisti, poznati pod nazivom Pilgrimi, pod vodstvom Williama Bradforda krenuli iz Southamptona na jedrenjaku Mayflower, te se iskrcali 66 dana kasnije kod poluotoka Cape Coda u Plymouthu u Massachusettsu.

Prošle 2020. su, obilježavajući 400. obljetnicu toga događaja, Amerikanci repliku toga broda nazvanu Mayflower II, izgrađenu u Devonu u Engleskoj od 1955. do 1956., svečano vratili u luku Plymouth.

Umjetna inteligencija

Međutim, simbolično obilježavajući novu ere u pomorstvu, 16. lipnja je na put iz engleskog u američki Plymouth krenuo inteligentni brod bez posade nazvan Mayflower 400. Riječ je o trimaranu dužine 15 m, širokom 6,2 m i teškom oko 5 tona, kojim upravlja i samostalno donosi odluke Artificial intelligence (AI) kapetan, odnosno umjetna inteligencija.

Brod robot je projekt neprofitne udruge ProMare, u koji su se uključile druge svjetske poznate tvrtke, kao što je primjerice IBM.

Nažalost, tri dana nakon početka plovidbe došlo je do tehničkih problema te je Mayflower 400 vraćen u Plymouth. Krajem srpnja iz udruge ProMare objavljeno je kako je kvar nastao na dijelu koji povezuje generator i ispušni sustav.

Još uvijek nije poznat datum ponovnog isplovljavanja. Iako prvi pokušaj nije uspio, problem ne bi trebao biti nepremostiv i Mayflower 400 bi uskoro trebao prijeći Atlantski ocean.

Osnivač udruge ProMare Brett Phaneuf uvjeren je da će brod bez posade omogućiti proširenje znanstvenih studija o oceanima, za koje tvrdi da su najsnažnija sila planeta koja regulira našu klimu.

Mayflower Autonomous Ship 400 je programiran da na 5630 km dugom putu preko Atlantika proučava okoliš, analizira prisutnost plastike u moru, prepoznaje i prati morske sisavce, analizira kemijski sastav mora...

Korigira vlastite greške

Naravno, ploveći robot je prekriven solarnim panelima kao i turbinama vjetra, koji će mu služiti za primarni pogon, iako će se, prema potrebama, aktivirati i dizelski agregat. Gradnja autonomnog trimarana, koji su zajednički dizajnirale kompanije Whiskerstay i MSubs, trajala je godinu dana, s time da su programeri podučili njegova računala da identificiraju zapreke u moru, analizirajući tisuće fotografija, te izbjegnu moguće sudare.

Mayflower 400 ima AI sustav koji mu omogućuje korigiranje vlastitih grešaka, odnosno razmišljanje na način na koji ljudski mozak obrađuje informacije. Preciznije rečeno, ima 5 razina autonomije i radi bez ljudske intervencije daljinskim putem. Šest kamera će mu služiti kao oči, a kao priprema za oluje i velike valove se uvježbavao na simulatoru.

U sofisticirani Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) je ugrađeno 30 senzora i vrhunska oprema brojnih svjetskih proizvođača. U njemu su IBM-ovi programi: Visual Insights computer vision technology, Edge systems, Operational Decision Manager automation software, Maximo asset management software, te hardware: IBM Power Systems AC922, 6 Jetson AGX Xavier, 2 Jetson Xavier NX, 4+ Intel-based computers, 4+ custom microprocessor systems.

Fischer Panda propulzija

Od opreme za navigaciju ima: Precision GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), IMU (Inertial Measurement Units), radar, vremensku postaju, SATCOM i AIS. Hibridno-električnu propulziju je isporučila njemačka tvrtka Fischer Panda. Njihova su dva 48V DC generatora - 22kW Fischer Panda AGT 22000 i 4kW Fischer Panda AGT 4000, oba u PVM formatu, kao i dva 48V Fischer Panda 20kW 600rpm Easybox elektromotora.

Kao inverter i punjač će služiti Mastervolt Mass Combi 48/3500-50, podržan od strane BMS sustava za kontrolu i nadzor. Za akumulatore se također pobrinuo nizozemski Mastervolt, postavivši osam MLi Ultra 5500 Lithium Ion baterija kapaciteta 800Ah na 48V.

Prema predviđanjima i sukladno maksimalnoj brzini od 10 čvorova, MAS bi trebao prijeći Atlantik za otprilike 20 dana. Iako je brod autonoman, ekipa stručnjaka će ga pratiti danonoćno i intervenirati na daljinu u slučaju opasnosti.

Iz udruge ProMare i IBM-a se nadaju da će plovidba pred očima cijelog svijeta (na stranici Mas400.com) postaviti tehnološke smjernice za gradnju sličnih istraživačkih, ali i komercijalnih brodova.

Davne 1620. godine su engleski separatisti, poznati pod nazivom Pilgrimi, pod vodstvom Williama Bradforda krenuli iz Southamptona na jedrenjaku Mayflower, te se iskrcali 66 dana kasnije kod poluotoka Cape Coda u Plymouthu u Massachusettsu.

Prošle 2020. su, obilježavajući 400. obljetnicu toga događaja, Amerikanci repliku toga broda nazvanu Mayflower II, izgrađenu u Devonu u Engleskoj od 1955. do 1956., svečano vratili u luku Plymouth.

Umjetna inteligencija

Međutim, simbolično obilježavajući novu ere u pomorstvu, 16. lipnja je na put iz engleskog u američki Plymouth krenuo inteligentni brod bez posade nazvan Mayflower 400. Riječ je o trimaranu dužine 15 m, širokom 6,2 m i teškom oko 5 tona, kojim upravlja i samostalno donosi odluke Artificial intelligence (AI) kapetan, odnosno umjetna inteligencija.

Brod robot je projekt neprofitne udruge ProMare, u koji su se uključile druge svjetske poznate tvrtke, kao što je primjerice IBM.

Nažalost, tri dana nakon početka plovidbe došlo je do tehničkih problema te je Mayflower 400 vraćen u Plymouth. Krajem srpnja iz udruge ProMare objavljeno je kako je kvar nastao na dijelu koji povezuje generator i ispušni sustav.

Još uvijek nije poznat datum ponovnog isplovljavanja. Iako prvi pokušaj nije uspio, problem ne bi trebao biti nepremostiv i Mayflower 400 bi uskoro trebao prijeći Atlantski ocean.

Osnivač udruge ProMare Brett Phaneuf uvjeren je da će brod bez posade omogućiti proširenje znanstvenih studija o oceanima, za koje tvrdi da su najsnažnija sila planeta koja regulira našu klimu.

Mayflower Autonomous Ship 400 je programiran da na 5630 km dugom putu preko Atlantika proučava okoliš, analizira prisutnost plastike u moru, prepoznaje i prati morske sisavce, analizira kemijski sastav mora...

Korigira vlastite greške

Naravno, ploveći robot je prekriven solarnim panelima kao i turbinama vjetra, koji će mu služiti za primarni pogon, iako će se, prema potrebama, aktivirati i dizelski agregat. Gradnja autonomnog trimarana, koji su zajednički dizajnirale kompanije Whiskerstay i MSubs, trajala je godinu dana, s time da su programeri podučili njegova računala da identificiraju zapreke u moru, analizirajući tisuće fotografija, te izbjegnu moguće sudare.

Mayflower 400 ima AI sustav koji mu omogućuje korigiranje vlastitih grešaka, odnosno razmišljanje na način na koji ljudski mozak obrađuje informacije. Preciznije rečeno, ima 5 razina autonomije i radi bez ljudske intervencije daljinskim putem. Šest kamera će mu služiti kao oči, a kao priprema za oluje i velike valove se uvježbavao na simulatoru.

U sofisticirani Mayflower Autonomous Ship (MAS) je ugrađeno 30 senzora i vrhunska oprema brojnih svjetskih proizvođača. U njemu su IBM-ovi programi: Visual Insights computer vision technology, Edge systems, Operational Decision Manager automation software, Maximo asset management software, te hardware: IBM Power Systems AC922, 6 Jetson AGX Xavier, 2 Jetson Xavier NX, 4+ Intel-based computers, 4+ custom microprocessor systems.

Fischer Panda propulzija

Od opreme za navigaciju ima: Precision GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), IMU (Inertial Measurement Units), radar, vremensku postaju, SATCOM i AIS. Hibridno-električnu propulziju je isporučila njemačka tvrtka Fischer Panda. Njihova su dva 48V DC generatora - 22kW Fischer Panda AGT 22000 i 4kW Fischer Panda AGT 4000, oba u PVM formatu, kao i dva 48V Fischer Panda 20kW 600rpm Easybox elektromotora.

Kao inverter i punjač će služiti Mastervolt Mass Combi 48/3500-50, podržan od strane BMS sustava za kontrolu i nadzor. Za akumulatore se također pobrinuo nizozemski Mastervolt, postavivši osam MLi Ultra 5500 Lithium Ion baterija kapaciteta 800Ah na 48V.

Prema predviđanjima i sukladno maksimalnoj brzini od 10 čvorova, MAS bi trebao prijeći Atlantik za otprilike 20 dana. Iako je brod autonoman, ekipa stručnjaka će ga pratiti danonoćno i intervenirati na daljinu u slučaju opasnosti.

Iz udruge ProMare i IBM-a se nadaju da će plovidba pred očima cijelog svijeta (na stranici Mas400.com) postaviti tehnološke smjernice za gradnju sličnih istraživačkih, ali i komercijalnih brodova.
