Johannesburga urodilo je vrlo vjerojatnim dokazom postojanja još
nepoznate vrste čovjeka koja je bila dijelom ljudska, a dijelom
čovjekolikog majmuna.
Znanstvenici sa instituta za ljudsku
evoluciju sveučilišta u Johannesburgu na osnovu naprednih osobina
nađenih u mozgu i tijelu pet jedinki iskopanih 2008. godine zaključuju
kako bi moglo biti riječi o precima našeg roda Homo.
Kako objavljuje časopis Science, pripadnici te vrste imali su
iznenađujuće malen mozak, veličine grejpa, koji je bio iznimno dobro
razvijen
mozak i uvelike sličan ljudskom. Ruke su im bile slične ljudskima,
opremljene dugačkim palcima različitima od majmunskih, zbog čega su
bile sposobne za precizno prihvaćanje predmeta. Vrlo dobro razvijeni
gležnjevi pomagali su im u kretanju i bili su presudni, vjeruju
znanstvenici, za razvoj uspravnog hoda.

Johannesburga urodilo je vrlo vjerojatnim dokazom postojanja još
nepoznate vrste čovjeka koja je bila dijelom ljudska, a dijelom
čovjekolikog majmuna.
Znanstvenici sa instituta za ljudsku
evoluciju sveučilišta u Johannesburgu na osnovu naprednih osobina
nađenih u mozgu i tijelu pet jedinki iskopanih 2008. godine zaključuju
kako bi moglo biti riječi o precima našeg roda Homo.
Kako objavljuje časopis Science, pripadnici te vrste imali su
iznenađujuće malen mozak, veličine grejpa, koji je bio iznimno dobro
razvijen
mozak i uvelike sličan ljudskom. Ruke su im bile slične ljudskima,
opremljene dugačkim palcima različitima od majmunskih, zbog čega su
bile sposobne za precizno prihvaćanje predmeta. Vrlo dobro razvijeni
gležnjevi pomagali su im u kretanju i bili su presudni, vjeruju
znanstvenici, za razvoj uspravnog hoda.
