Arheološki muzej u Splitu svake godine obilježava obljetnicu smrti znamenitoga hrvatskog arheologa, svećenika, konzervatora i povjesničara don Frane Bulića, koji je bio na čelu te institucije više od četiri desetljeća, no ovaj put bit će još sadržajnije, budući da je ove godine 80. obljetnica od don Franine smrti.

U srijedu 6. kolovoza u 20 sati u Galeriji Doma “Zvonimir” u Solinu otvorit će se i izložba fotografija iz fundusa Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu.

- Riječ je o izložbi fotografija na kojima se nalazi don Frane, uglavnom na lokacijama u Solinu i Saloni. Želimo na ovaj način podsjetiti Solinjane, kao i ostale posjetitelje galerije, na ovog velikana i na njegov rad – kazala nam je Jagoda Mardešić, viša kustosica Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu koja je postavila izložbu.

Otkrio sarkofag kraljice Jelene

Don Frane Bulić bio je i ravnatelj gimnazije u Splitu, te konzervator povijesnih i umjetničkih spomenika za cijelu Dalmaciju, član brojnih domaćih i europskih znanstvenih ustanova i arheoloških društava, autor niza članaka i knjiga, a u svome istraživanju antičkih i starokršćanskih spomenika najviše se posvetio solinskim iskopinama.

Njegovom su zaslugom prezentirani i lokaliteti u Saloni, poput Manastirina, Marusinca, Kapljuča, Amfiteatra... Tako je 1894. godine organizirao i Prvi međunarodni kongres za starokršćansku arheologiju u Splitu i Solinu, na Gospinu otoku je 1898. godine otkrio sarkofag kraljice Jelene iz 976. godine, složio krhotine i odgonetnuo oštećeni natpis s njezine nadgrobne ploče.

Na Otoku je otkrio i temelje crkve sv. Marije i crkve sv. Stjepana, koja je bila grobnica hrvatskih vladara, a u Rižinicama u Solinu 1891. godine i ulomak s natpisom hrvatskog kneza Trpimira.

Istraživao je crkvu sv. Marte u Bijaćima, u Splitu 1894. utemeljio i društvo “Bihać”, a dao je i znatan doprinos istraživanju i očuvanju Dioklecijanove palače.

Arheološki muzej u Splitu svake godine obilježava obljetnicu smrti znamenitoga hrvatskog arheologa, svećenika, konzervatora i povjesničara don Frane Bulića, koji je bio na čelu te institucije više od četiri desetljeća, no ovaj put bit će još sadržajnije, budući da je ove godine 80. obljetnica od don Franine smrti.

U srijedu 6. kolovoza u 20 sati u Galeriji Doma “Zvonimir” u Solinu otvorit će se i izložba fotografija iz fundusa Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu.

- Riječ je o izložbi fotografija na kojima se nalazi don Frane, uglavnom na lokacijama u Solinu i Saloni. Želimo na ovaj način podsjetiti Solinjane, kao i ostale posjetitelje galerije, na ovog velikana i na njegov rad – kazala nam je Jagoda Mardešić, viša kustosica Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu koja je postavila izložbu.

Otkrio sarkofag kraljice Jelene

Don Frane Bulić bio je i ravnatelj gimnazije u Splitu, te konzervator povijesnih i umjetničkih spomenika za cijelu Dalmaciju, član brojnih domaćih i europskih znanstvenih ustanova i arheoloških društava, autor niza članaka i knjiga, a u svome istraživanju antičkih i starokršćanskih spomenika najviše se posvetio solinskim iskopinama.

Njegovom su zaslugom prezentirani i lokaliteti u Saloni, poput Manastirina, Marusinca, Kapljuča, Amfiteatra... Tako je 1894. godine organizirao i Prvi međunarodni kongres za starokršćansku arheologiju u Splitu i Solinu, na Gospinu otoku je 1898. godine otkrio sarkofag kraljice Jelene iz 976. godine, složio krhotine i odgonetnuo oštećeni natpis s njezine nadgrobne ploče.

Na Otoku je otkrio i temelje crkve sv. Marije i crkve sv. Stjepana, koja je bila grobnica hrvatskih vladara, a u Rižinicama u Solinu 1891. godine i ulomak s natpisom hrvatskog kneza Trpimira.

Istraživao je crkvu sv. Marte u Bijaćima, u Splitu 1894. utemeljio i društvo “Bihać”, a dao je i znatan doprinos istraživanju i očuvanju Dioklecijanove palače.
