Scattolini je na drugoj plohi procesualne nosiljke za kip sv. Antuna samostana Male braće, na minijaturi (dim. 32x22 cm), naslikao dva brodolomaca koji se bore s pobješnjelim valovima, a iznad njih je u kutu minijaturni lik sv. Antuna s ljiljanom i s djetetom Isusom u naručju.

Kako piše fra Stipe Nosić, slikar je tu predočio Sveca kako bdije nad pomorcima, a kompozicija sugerira da su mu se brodolomci utjecali i da će ih on spasiti. Iznad slike na tom dijelu nosiljke je natpis: “Confessoris tui deprecatio votiva”. Izrađujući ovu scenu slikar je očito bio motiviran činjenicom da je sv. Antun zaštitnik pomoraca. Uz to što je zaštitnik djece, ribara, siromaha, trudnica, zatvorenika, ali i svetac koji pomaže u pronalaženju izgubljenih stvari, kao i u bračnoj neplodnosti, ovog sveca zaštitnikom pomoraca smatraju i franjevci, ali i oni koji se mole u njihovoj crkvi.

Potvrđuje to i slika, ulje na platnu, na svečevu oltaru, glasovitog dubrovačkog slikara Iva Dulčića, slika koja ovjenčava nišu u koju je smješten kip sv. Antuna. Sliku je Dulčić naslikao 1962. inspiriran stihovima pjesme Si quaeris (Ak' čudesa), koja se pjeva u čast sv. Antuna. Na oltar je stavljena 1963., a na tom mjestu prije je bila slika nepoznatog autora iz 17. stoljeća, koja prikazuje pobožni puk koji se moli sv. Antunu. Stara slika u sredini ima otvor za nišu, a dosta je oštećena pa se čuva namotana na valjak.

Na vrhu slike, među mnoštvom anđela naslikana su dva anđela koji između sebe drže traku s natpisom: „Ecce Gloria Domini apparuit: Exod. XVI“ (I gle pojavi se slava Gospodnja. Izl 16,10). Ispod njih s jedne i s druge strane po dva su anđela koji uz pomoć vrčeva prosipaju lepršave ledene kuglice kako bi osvježili molitelje. U donjem dijelu slike, ispod otvora za kip, između osoba koje mole zagovor sveca, stoji natpis „Petunt & accipiunt“ (Mole i dobivaju). Stih je to također iz pjesme Si quaeris (Ak' čudesa). Ispod natpisa na morskoj pučini vide se dva broda, a jedan od njih je dubrovačka karaka.

Scattolini je na drugoj plohi procesualne nosiljke za kip sv. Antuna samostana Male braće, na minijaturi (dim. 32x22 cm), naslikao dva brodolomaca koji se bore s pobješnjelim valovima, a iznad njih je u kutu minijaturni lik sv. Antuna s ljiljanom i s djetetom Isusom u naručju.

Kako piše fra Stipe Nosić, slikar je tu predočio Sveca kako bdije nad pomorcima, a kompozicija sugerira da su mu se brodolomci utjecali i da će ih on spasiti. Iznad slike na tom dijelu nosiljke je natpis: “Confessoris tui deprecatio votiva”. Izrađujući ovu scenu slikar je očito bio motiviran činjenicom da je sv. Antun zaštitnik pomoraca. Uz to što je zaštitnik djece, ribara, siromaha, trudnica, zatvorenika, ali i svetac koji pomaže u pronalaženju izgubljenih stvari, kao i u bračnoj neplodnosti, ovog sveca zaštitnikom pomoraca smatraju i franjevci, ali i oni koji se mole u njihovoj crkvi.

Potvrđuje to i slika, ulje na platnu, na svečevu oltaru, glasovitog dubrovačkog slikara Iva Dulčića, slika koja ovjenčava nišu u koju je smješten kip sv. Antuna. Sliku je Dulčić naslikao 1962. inspiriran stihovima pjesme Si quaeris (Ak' čudesa), koja se pjeva u čast sv. Antuna. Na oltar je stavljena 1963., a na tom mjestu prije je bila slika nepoznatog autora iz 17. stoljeća, koja prikazuje pobožni puk koji se moli sv. Antunu. Stara slika u sredini ima otvor za nišu, a dosta je oštećena pa se čuva namotana na valjak.

Na vrhu slike, među mnoštvom anđela naslikana su dva anđela koji između sebe drže traku s natpisom: „Ecce Gloria Domini apparuit: Exod. XVI“ (I gle pojavi se slava Gospodnja. Izl 16,10). Ispod njih s jedne i s druge strane po dva su anđela koji uz pomoć vrčeva prosipaju lepršave ledene kuglice kako bi osvježili molitelje. U donjem dijelu slike, ispod otvora za kip, između osoba koje mole zagovor sveca, stoji natpis „Petunt & accipiunt“ (Mole i dobivaju). Stih je to također iz pjesme Si quaeris (Ak' čudesa). Ispod natpisa na morskoj pučini vide se dva broda, a jedan od njih je dubrovačka karaka.

Scattolini je na drugoj plohi procesualne nosiljke za kip sv. Antuna samostana Male braće, na minijaturi (dim. 32x22 cm), naslikao dva brodolomaca koji se bore s pobješnjelim valovima, a iznad njih je u kutu minijaturni lik sv. Antuna s ljiljanom i s djetetom Isusom u naručju.

Kako piše fra Stipe Nosić, slikar je tu predočio Sveca kako bdije nad pomorcima, a kompozicija sugerira da su mu se brodolomci utjecali i da će ih on spasiti. Iznad slike na tom dijelu nosiljke je natpis: “Confessoris tui deprecatio votiva”. Izrađujući ovu scenu slikar je očito bio motiviran činjenicom da je sv. Antun zaštitnik pomoraca.
