Old town ili Old City? Mnogi će reći da mjesta onome ‘old‘ niti nema kad je riječ o Gradu, no svejedno ostaje dvojba oko termina ‘town‘ i ‘city‘. Upravo na to upozoravaju engleski turisti koji su se Dubrovačkom požalili na naziv na displayu Libertasovih autobusa. Za njih bi, kažu nam, prihvatljivije bilo napisati ‘city‘ jer ‘town‘ sugerira da je riječ tek o gradiću.

- Anketirajući naše vozače, oznake trase linija na engleskom jeziku detektirane su kao jedan od najčešćih upita stranaca pa smo počevši od ove turističke uveli nazive na engleskom kao dodatnu informaciju oko pojedinih linija (poput oznake "Port" na linijama koje prometuju prema kolodvoru i prostoru luke).  Po pitanju jezične ispravnosti korištenog termina za dio Dubrovnika unutar gradskih zidina, razmatrali smo bi li za koristili termin "Town" ili "City" bio prikladniji i struka nam je sugerirala da bi s obzirom da se radi o jednom predjelu unutar Dubrovnika ispravnije bilo koristiti Town, ali da se ni u kojem slučaju ne bi moglo reći da bi City bilo pogrešno ili obrnuto - izvijestio nas je glasnogovornik Libertasa Nikša Grljević.

Dodao je kako dosad nisu imali nikakvu reklamaciju što se tiče naziva autobusnih linija, no da su sve proslijeđene informacije i sugestije dobrodošle.

- Svakako, promjene su moguće na svakom displayu i ako bi se ispostavilo da je potrebna promjena teksta to odradimo bez ikakvog problema - rekao je glasnogovornik gradskog autoprijevoznika.

Old town ili Old City? Mnogi će reći da mjesta onome ‘old‘ niti nema kad je riječ o Gradu, no svejedno ostaje dvojba oko termina ‘town‘ i ‘city‘. Upravo na to upozoravaju engleski turisti koji su se Dubrovačkom požalili na naziv na displayu Libertasovih autobusa. Za njih bi, kažu nam, prihvatljivije bilo napisati ‘city‘ jer ‘town‘ sugerira da je riječ tek o gradiću.

- Anketirajući naše vozače, oznake trase linija na engleskom jeziku detektirane su kao jedan od najčešćih upita stranaca pa smo počevši od ove turističke uveli nazive na engleskom kao dodatnu informaciju oko pojedinih linija (poput oznake "Port" na linijama koje prometuju prema kolodvoru i prostoru luke).  Po pitanju jezične ispravnosti korištenog termina za dio Dubrovnika unutar gradskih zidina, razmatrali smo bi li za koristili termin "Town" ili "City" bio prikladniji i struka nam je sugerirala da bi s obzirom da se radi o jednom predjelu unutar Dubrovnika ispravnije bilo koristiti Town, ali da se ni u kojem slučaju ne bi moglo reći da bi City bilo pogrešno ili obrnuto - izvijestio nas je glasnogovornik Libertasa Nikša Grljević.

Dodao je kako dosad nisu imali nikakvu reklamaciju što se tiče naziva autobusnih linija, no da su sve proslijeđene informacije i sugestije dobrodošle.

- Svakako, promjene su moguće na svakom displayu i ako bi se ispostavilo da je potrebna promjena teksta to odradimo bez ikakvog problema - rekao je glasnogovornik gradskog autoprijevoznika.

Iz Libertasa odgovaraju engleskim turistima koji su se požalili na naziv na displayu autobusa: ‘Struka nam je sugerirala koji je termin prikladniji, ali...‘

Old town ili Old City? Mnogi će reći da mjesta onome ‘old‘ niti nema kad je riječ o Gradu, no svejedno ostaje dvojba oko termina ‘town‘ i ‘city‘. Upravo na to upozoravaju engleski turisti koji su se Dubrovačkom požalili na naziv na displayu Libertasovih autobusa. Za njih bi, kažu nam, prihvatljivije bilo napisati ‘city‘ jer ‘town‘ sugerira da je riječ tek o gradiću.

- Anketirajući naše vozače, oznake trase linija na engleskom jeziku detektirane su kao jedan od najčešćih upita stranaca pa smo počevši od ove turističke uveli nazive na engleskom kao dodatnu informaciju oko pojedinih linija (poput oznake "Port" na linijama koje prometuju prema kolodvoru i prostoru luke).  Po pitanju jezične ispravnosti korištenog termina za dio Dubrovnika unutar gradskih zidina, razmatrali smo bi li za koristili termin "Town" ili "City" bio prikladniji i struka nam je sugerirala da bi s obzirom da se radi o jednom predjelu unutar Dubrovnika ispravnije bilo koristiti Town, ali da se ni u kojem slučaju ne bi moglo reći da bi City bilo pogrešno ili obrnuto - izvijestio nas je glasnogovornik Libertasa Nikša Grljević.

Dodao je kako dosad nisu imali nikakvu reklamaciju što se tiče naziva autobusnih linija, no da su sve proslijeđene informacije i sugestije dobrodošle.

- Svakako, promjene su moguće na svakom displayu i ako bi se ispostavilo da je potrebna promjena teksta to odradimo bez ikakvog problema - rekao je glasnogovornik gradskog autoprijevoznika.
