U sušnoj sezoni, kad toplinski valovi sustižu jedan drugog, potrošači koji se pitkom vodom opskrbljuju posredstvom dubrovačkog Vodovoda opravdano se brinu prijeti li im 'istarski' scenarij ograničene potrošnje vode zbog ljetne nestašice.
Hidrološka situacija na širem dubrovačkom području, na sreću je takva, da se ne treba bojati redukcija, ističe glasnogovornik Vodovoda Tihomir Matić:

- Izvorišta na području koje uslužuje Vodovod Dubrovnik i ove su godine generalno gledajući zadovoljavajuće izdašnosti te uspješno pokrivaju potrebe za vodoopskrbom stanovnika i posjetitelja na širem dubrovačkom području. Na određenim dijelovima moguće su povremene pojave problema s izdašnosti manjih izvorišta, što je redovna pojava za koju je sustav i projektiran te se uspješno rješava aktivacijom drugih izvorišta, tako da ni ove godine ne očekujemo probleme u segmentu zahvaćanja vode i opskrbe pitkom vodom. Pri tom treba istaknuti da Vodovod Dubrovnik nikad nije morao uvoditi redukcije vode te se to ne očekuje ni ove godine – utješio je zabrinute potrošače glasnogovornik Matić.

- Najveći dio Dubrovnika, točnije područje od Lozice do Zlatnog potoka vodu dobiva s izvorišta Ombla, dok se područje od Vrbice do Brsečina i Elafita opskrbljuje s izvorišta Palata. Župa dubrovačka većinu vode kroz godinu dobiva s izvorišta Duboka Ljuta, ali veći dio godine koristi se i izvorište Vrelo koje standardno pada na minimum u ljetnom periodu, obično oko 15. srpnja, tj. isključivo je sezonalnog tipa i stoga se koristi samo dok je njegova izdašnost dostatna za normalnu opskrbu pitkom vodom tih područja. Vodoopskrbni sustav je projektiran na način da se nakon toga i taj dio područja opskrbljuje pitkom vodom s izvorišta Duboka ljuta – objasnio je Tihomir Matić. Dodao je kako se područje Stona opskrbljuje s izvorišta Studenac, s tim da je učestala pojava da u ljetnim mjesecima ponešto opada njegova izdašnost te je sustav projektiran tako da se potrebne dodatne količine vode nadoknađuju s izvorišta Oko.
- Ostala izvorišta na području kojim upravlja Vodovod Dubrovnik su Žuljana, s koje se opskrbljuje područje istoimenog naselja te Nereze s kojeg se opskrbljuje Slano – dodao je Matić.

Vodoopskrbni sustav općine Konavle se dijeli na dva neovisna podsustava, Konavle-zapad i Konavle-istok. Vodoopskrbni sustav Konavle-zapad opskrbljuje naselja Cavtat, Zvekovica, Močići, Čilipi, Komaji, Popovići, Uskoplje, Gabrili, Drvenik, Mihanići i Zračnu luku Dubrovnik, a crpi vodu sa izvorišta Duboka Ljuta.
Opskrba vodom istočnog dijela općine Konavle sa zahvatom vode na izvoru Konavoska Ljuta obuhvaća naselja Gruda, Radovčići, Dubravka, Dunave, Karasovići, Vitaljina, Pridvorje, Lovorno, Pločice, Mikulići, Poljice, Đurinići i Molunat.

Problema s vodoopskrbom nema ni Mljet. Tamošnji načelnik Đivo Market kaže kako im voda s kopna uredno dolazi putem NPKL sustava na područje Nacionalnog parka.
- Za ostatak otoka imamo vodocrpilište i prerađujemo boćatu vodu, tako da nema nikakve potrebe za redukcijom jer zaliha imamo sasvim dovoljno – naglasio je načelnik Market.

U sušnoj sezoni, kad toplinski valovi sustižu jedan drugog, potrošači koji se pitkom vodom opskrbljuju posredstvom dubrovačkog Vodovoda opravdano se brinu prijeti li im 'istarski' scenarij ograničene potrošnje vode zbog ljetne nestašice.
Hidrološka situacija na širem dubrovačkom području, na sreću je takva, da se ne treba bojati redukcija, ističe glasnogovornik Vodovoda Tihomir Matić:

- Izvorišta na području koje uslužuje Vodovod Dubrovnik i ove su godine generalno gledajući zadovoljavajuće izdašnosti te uspješno pokrivaju potrebe za vodoopskrbom stanovnika i posjetitelja na širem dubrovačkom području. Na određenim dijelovima moguće su povremene pojave problema s izdašnosti manjih izvorišta, što je redovna pojava za koju je sustav i projektiran te se uspješno rješava aktivacijom drugih izvorišta, tako da ni ove godine ne očekujemo probleme u segmentu zahvaćanja vode i opskrbe pitkom vodom. Pri tom treba istaknuti da Vodovod Dubrovnik nikad nije morao uvoditi redukcije vode te se to ne očekuje ni ove godine – utješio je zabrinute potrošače glasnogovornik Matić.

- Najveći dio Dubrovnika, točnije područje od Lozice do Zlatnog potoka vodu dobiva s izvorišta Ombla, dok se područje od Vrbice do Brsečina i Elafita opskrbljuje s izvorišta Palata. Župa dubrovačka većinu vode kroz godinu dobiva s izvorišta Duboka Ljuta, ali veći dio godine koristi se i izvorište Vrelo koje standardno pada na minimum u ljetnom periodu, obično oko 15. srpnja, tj. isključivo je sezonalnog tipa i stoga se koristi samo dok je njegova izdašnost dostatna za normalnu opskrbu pitkom vodom tih područja. Vodoopskrbni sustav je projektiran na način da se nakon toga i taj dio područja opskrbljuje pitkom vodom s izvorišta Duboka ljuta – objasnio je Tihomir Matić. Dodao je kako se područje Stona opskrbljuje s izvorišta Studenac, s tim da je učestala pojava da u ljetnim mjesecima ponešto opada njegova izdašnost te je sustav projektiran tako da se potrebne dodatne količine vode nadoknađuju s izvorišta Oko.
- Ostala izvorišta na području kojim upravlja Vodovod Dubrovnik su Žuljana, s koje se opskrbljuje područje istoimenog naselja te Nereze s kojeg se opskrbljuje Slano – dodao je Matić.

Vodoopskrbni sustav općine Konavle se dijeli na dva neovisna podsustava, Konavle-zapad i Konavle-istok. Vodoopskrbni sustav Konavle-zapad opskrbljuje naselja Cavtat, Zvekovica, Močići, Čilipi, Komaji, Popovići, Uskoplje, Gabrili, Drvenik, Mihanići i Zračnu luku Dubrovnik, a crpi vodu sa izvorišta Duboka Ljuta.
Opskrba vodom istočnog dijela općine Konavle sa zahvatom vode na izvoru Konavoska Ljuta obuhvaća naselja Gruda, Radovčići, Dubravka, Dunave, Karasovići, Vitaljina, Pridvorje, Lovorno, Pločice, Mikulići, Poljice, Đurinići i Molunat.

Problema s vodoopskrbom nema ni Mljet. Tamošnji načelnik Đivo Market kaže kako im voda s kopna uredno dolazi putem NPKL sustava na područje Nacionalnog parka.
- Za ostatak otoka imamo vodocrpilište i prerađujemo boćatu vodu, tako da nema nikakve potrebe za redukcijom jer zaliha imamo sasvim dovoljno – naglasio je načelnik Market.
