Portugal, zahvaćen trećim toplinskim valom od početka srpnja, u ponedjeljak se borio s nekoliko požara dok je zemlja u stanju pripravnosti do utorka zbog opasnosti od šumskih požara.
U ponedjeljak poslije podne gotovo 2.000 vatrogasaca bilo je mobilizirano u gašenju požara diljem zemlje, objavila je civilna zaštita.
Najveći požar bjesnio je u okolici Vila Reala, na krajnjem sjeveru i u nedjelju se počeo širiti na unutrašnjost teško pristupačnog planinskog područja.
"U požaru je po privremenoj procjeni izgorjelo 4.500 ha", rekao je nacionalni ravnatelj civilne zaštite Andre Fernandes u obraćanju javnosti u podne.
U borbi s ovim šumskim požarom Portugal od ponedjeljka može računati na pomoć dvaju grčkih kanadera poslanih u okviru mehanizma europske solidarnosti.
Stanje pripravnosti koje je vlada proglasila u nedjelju, ograničava pristup šumama, zabranjuje predstave s pirotehnikom i predviđa povećanje stupnja mobilizacije pomoći.
Portugalski meteorološki zavod (IPMA) najavio je za ponedjeljak i za utorak temperaturu blizu 40 Celzijevih stupnjeva u unutrašnjosti zemlje.

Portugal koji je ove godine zahvatila iznimna suša, imao je najtopliji srpanj u zadnjih gotovo sto godina.
Od siječnja je u dim otišlo više od 94.000 ha, što je najveća površina nakon smrtonosnih požara u 2017. u kojima je poginulo stotinjak ljudi, pokazuju novi podatci Instituta za očuvanje prirode i šuma (ICNF).
Samo požar u parku prirode Serra da Estrela, planinskom području u središtu Portugala koji je pod UNESCO-vom zaštitom, progutao je više od 25.000 ha raslinja u jedanaest dana i tek je u srijedu lokaliziran.
Zbog razmjera tog požara vlada je odlučila da će uskoro proglasiti "stanje prirodne nepogode", što će omogućiti brzo izdvajanje pomoći, rekla je novinarima ministrica predsjedništva Marina Vieira da Silva na sastanku s načelnicima stradalih općina u ponedjeljak.
"U idućih 15 dana državne službe i općine pristupit će popisivanju štete od ovog požara", dodala je ministrica i rekla da će se u rujnu donijeti "plan revitalizacije" tog parka prirode.
Znanstvenici upozoravaju da klimatske promjene povećavaju vjerojatnost za vrućine i sušu, a time i za šumske požare.

Portugal, zahvaćen trećim toplinskim valom od početka srpnja, u ponedjeljak se borio s nekoliko požara dok je zemlja u stanju pripravnosti do utorka zbog opasnosti od šumskih požara.
U ponedjeljak poslije podne gotovo 2.000 vatrogasaca bilo je mobilizirano u gašenju požara diljem zemlje, objavila je civilna zaštita.
Najveći požar bjesnio je u okolici Vila Reala, na krajnjem sjeveru i u nedjelju se počeo širiti na unutrašnjost teško pristupačnog planinskog područja.
"U požaru je po privremenoj procjeni izgorjelo 4.500 ha", rekao je nacionalni ravnatelj civilne zaštite Andre Fernandes u obraćanju javnosti u podne.
U borbi s ovim šumskim požarom Portugal od ponedjeljka može računati na pomoć dvaju grčkih kanadera poslanih u okviru mehanizma europske solidarnosti.
Stanje pripravnosti koje je vlada proglasila u nedjelju, ograničava pristup šumama, zabranjuje predstave s pirotehnikom i predviđa povećanje stupnja mobilizacije pomoći.
Portugalski meteorološki zavod (IPMA) najavio je za ponedjeljak i za utorak temperaturu blizu 40 Celzijevih stupnjeva u unutrašnjosti zemlje.

Portugal koji je ove godine zahvatila iznimna suša, imao je najtopliji srpanj u zadnjih gotovo sto godina.
Od siječnja je u dim otišlo više od 94.000 ha, što je najveća površina nakon smrtonosnih požara u 2017. u kojima je poginulo stotinjak ljudi, pokazuju novi podatci Instituta za očuvanje prirode i šuma (ICNF).
Samo požar u parku prirode Serra da Estrela, planinskom području u središtu Portugala koji je pod UNESCO-vom zaštitom, progutao je više od 25.000 ha raslinja u jedanaest dana i tek je u srijedu lokaliziran.
Zbog razmjera tog požara vlada je odlučila da će uskoro proglasiti "stanje prirodne nepogode", što će omogućiti brzo izdvajanje pomoći, rekla je novinarima ministrica predsjedništva Marina Vieira da Silva na sastanku s načelnicima stradalih općina u ponedjeljak.
"U idućih 15 dana državne službe i općine pristupit će popisivanju štete od ovog požara", dodala je ministrica i rekla da će se u rujnu donijeti "plan revitalizacije" tog parka prirode.
Znanstvenici upozoravaju da klimatske promjene povećavaju vjerojatnost za vrućine i sušu, a time i za šumske požare.
