Sedamdeset i šest ljudi poginulo je u prevrtanju prenatrpanog broda u državi Anambra na jugoistoku Nigerije, objavio je u nedjelju predsjednik te zemlje Muhammadu Buhari.

Na brodu koji je plovio po rijeci Niger i prevrnuo se u petak nalazilo se 85 osoba. 

Anambra je jedna od 29 država Nigerije koje su pogođene jakim poplavama od početka sezone kiša.

"Brod na kojem se (vjerojatno) nalazilo 85 osoba prevrnuo se zbog poplava... a spasilačke službe potvrdile su 76 mrtvih", rekao je Buhari. "Molim se za duše poginulih i za sigurnost svih drugih, kao i za dobrobit članova obitelji žrtava te tragične nesreće", dodao je.

Nesreće brodova česte su u Nigeriji zbog prenatrpanosti brodova, prekomjerne brzine, lošeg održavanja ili nepoštivanja pravila plovidbe.

Od početka kišne sezone, brojne regije Nigerije opustošene su poplavama.

Više od 300 ljudi je poginulo, a najmanje još 100.000 je bez doma u najgorim poplavama s kojima se zemlja suočila od 2012.

Poplavljena su i poljoprivredna zemljišta i kulture što bi moglo dovesti do nedostatka hrane u zemlji koja je već pogođena posljedicama pandemije covida i rata u Ukrajini.

Sedamdeset i šest ljudi poginulo je u prevrtanju prenatrpanog broda u državi Anambra na jugoistoku Nigerije, objavio je u nedjelju predsjednik te zemlje Muhammadu Buhari.

Na brodu koji je plovio po rijeci Niger i prevrnuo se u petak nalazilo se 85 osoba. 

Anambra je jedna od 29 država Nigerije koje su pogođene jakim poplavama od početka sezone kiša.

"Brod na kojem se (vjerojatno) nalazilo 85 osoba prevrnuo se zbog poplava... a spasilačke službe potvrdile su 76 mrtvih", rekao je Buhari. "Molim se za duše poginulih i za sigurnost svih drugih, kao i za dobrobit članova obitelji žrtava te tragične nesreće", dodao je.

Nesreće brodova česte su u Nigeriji zbog prenatrpanosti brodova, prekomjerne brzine, lošeg održavanja ili nepoštivanja pravila plovidbe.

Od početka kišne sezone, brojne regije Nigerije opustošene su poplavama.

Više od 300 ljudi je poginulo, a najmanje još 100.000 je bez doma u najgorim poplavama s kojima se zemlja suočila od 2012.

Poplavljena su i poljoprivredna zemljišta i kulture što bi moglo dovesti do nedostatka hrane u zemlji koja je već pogođena posljedicama pandemije covida i rata u Ukrajini.

Deseci stradali u posljedicama poplava u Africi: Najmanje 76 ljudi poginulo u prevrtanju borda na rijeci Niger

Sedamdeset i šest ljudi poginulo je u prevrtanju prenatrpanog broda u državi Anambra na jugoistoku Nigerije, objavio je u nedjelju predsjednik te zemlje Muhammadu Buhari.

Na brodu koji je plovio po rijeci Niger i prevrnuo se u petak nalazilo se 85 osoba. 

Anambra je jedna od 29 država Nigerije koje su pogođene jakim poplavama od početka sezone kiša.

"Brod na kojem se (vjerojatno) nalazilo 85 osoba prevrnuo se zbog poplava... a spasilačke službe potvrdile su 76 mrtvih", rekao je Buhari. "Molim se za duše poginulih i za sigurnost svih drugih, kao i za dobrobit članova obitelji žrtava te tragične nesreće", dodao je.

Nesreće brodova česte su u Nigeriji zbog prenatrpanosti brodova, prekomjerne brzine, lošeg održavanja ili nepoštivanja pravila plovidbe.

Od početka kišne sezone, brojne regije Nigerije opustošene su poplavama.

Više od 300 ljudi je poginulo, a najmanje još 100.000 je bez doma u najgorim poplavama s kojima se zemlja suočila od 2012.

Poplavljena su i poljoprivredna zemljišta i kulture što bi moglo dovesti do nedostatka hrane u zemlji koja je već pogođena posljedicama pandemije covida i rata u Ukrajini.
