Obožavatelji Colina Farrella, filmske zvijezde 1990-tih, uvjereni su da aktualni znanstvenofantastični film Putnici (Voyagers) najavljuje povratak njihova idola, enfant terriblea čiju su karijeru nagrizli alkohol i incidentno ponašanje. Iako na Farrellov lik otpada tek prvih pola sata svemirske odiseje redatelja Neila Burgera (Divergent, 2014.), uvijek se dobro podsjetiti Irčeva glumačkog talenta i prezentnosti kojima ne štete ni starenje ni poroci.
Farrellov junak Richard očinska je figura i mentor šačici mladih odabranih za kolonizaciju udaljenog planeta koji će naseliti tek treći naraštaj Zemljana u bijegu pred pogubom klimatskih promjena.
Filmovi o planetarnim zbjegovima nisu rijetkost, onaj s Jennifer Lawrence i Chrisom Prattom iz 2016. isto se i zvao (u izvornoj engleskoj varijanti Passengers) a ticao se života u klaustrofobičnim uvjetima deep spacea. Slično putovanje mladih 'misionara' tematiziraju i Burgerovi Putnici, ambiciozno zamišljeni kao psihološka studija ponašanja zatvorene grupe koja se otme kontroli (u ovom slučaju plavog medikamenta za nadzor nagona).

Ostavljeni bez vodiča, jedine odrasle individue i moralne vertikale Richarda, mladi se raspojasaju, neki više, neki manje. Kod izbora novog vođe demokratičnost se povlači pred agresijom, a netrepeljivost plane između dvojice karakterno najjačih muškaraca Christophera (Tye Sheridan) i Zaca (Fionn Whitehead) kojima konkurira Sela, uravnotežena brodska liječnica (Lily-Rose Depp, kći Johnnya Deppa i modela Vanesse Paradis).
Prikaz ključnih aktera brzo zaškripi. Zac se doslovce u tren oka iz zdravomislećeg mladića pretvara u brutalnog uzurpatora. Christopherove liderske sposobnosti manje su izražene od trkačkih, dok njegova simpatija Sela zamara profinjenom nedodirljivošću. Ostali 'omladinci' usputne su pojave koje valjda trebaju poduprijeti tezu o tome da su dobrota i zloća stvar izbora na koji ne utječu izazovi intergalaktičke izolacije.

Šteta je što su na ruti prema novoj naseobini Putnici pogubili većinu prtljage iz obećavajuće početne premise. U odnosima među posadom oslobođenom od okova trajno nedostaje subverzivnosti. Epizoda s fantomskim izvanzemaljcem naivna je i nepotrebna iako je mogla povući intrigantno pitanje o sankcijama za zločin van dosega zemaljskih tribunala. Konačni sraz Christophera i Zaca u svemiru protivi se zakonima fizike, dok je predvidiv kraj kao posuđen iz reklame za pronatalitetne pokrete.
Da je Burger pogledao 'Gospodara muha', adaptaciju hvaljenog romana Williama Goldinga o skupini civiliziranih ljudi koji podivljaju u borbi za opstanak, ili makar jedan nastavak TV serijala 'Izgubljeni', znao bi što nedostaje njegovim 'Putnicima'.

Obožavatelji Colina Farrella, filmske zvijezde 1990-tih, uvjereni su da aktualni znanstvenofantastični film Putnici (Voyagers) najavljuje povratak njihova idola, enfant terriblea čiju su karijeru nagrizli alkohol i incidentno ponašanje. Iako na Farrellov lik otpada tek prvih pola sata svemirske odiseje redatelja Neila Burgera (Divergent, 2014.), uvijek se dobro podsjetiti Irčeva glumačkog talenta i prezentnosti kojima ne štete ni starenje ni poroci.
Farrellov junak Richard očinska je figura i mentor šačici mladih odabranih za kolonizaciju udaljenog planeta koji će naseliti tek treći naraštaj Zemljana u bijegu pred pogubom klimatskih promjena.
Filmovi o planetarnim zbjegovima nisu rijetkost, onaj s Jennifer Lawrence i Chrisom Prattom iz 2016. isto se i zvao (u izvornoj engleskoj varijanti Passengers) a ticao se života u klaustrofobičnim uvjetima deep spacea. Slično putovanje mladih 'misionara' tematiziraju i Burgerovi Putnici, ambiciozno zamišljeni kao psihološka studija ponašanja zatvorene grupe koja se otme kontroli (u ovom slučaju plavog medikamenta za nadzor nagona).

Ostavljeni bez vodiča, jedine odrasle individue i moralne vertikale Richarda, mladi se raspojasaju, neki više, neki manje. Kod izbora novog vođe demokratičnost se povlači pred agresijom, a netrepeljivost plane između dvojice karakterno najjačih muškaraca Christophera (Tye Sheridan) i Zaca (Fionn Whitehead) kojima konkurira Sela, uravnotežena brodska liječnica (Lily-Rose Depp, kći Johnnya Deppa i modela Vanesse Paradis).
Prikaz ključnih aktera brzo zaškripi. Zac se doslovce u tren oka iz zdravomislećeg mladića pretvara u brutalnog uzurpatora. Christopherove liderske sposobnosti manje su izražene od trkačkih, dok njegova simpatija Sela zamara profinjenom nedodirljivošću. Ostali 'omladinci' usputne su pojave koje valjda trebaju poduprijeti tezu o tome da su dobrota i zloća stvar izbora na koji ne utječu izazovi intergalaktičke izolacije.

Šteta je što su na ruti prema novoj naseobini Putnici pogubili većinu prtljage iz obećavajuće početne premise. U odnosima među posadom oslobođenom od okova trajno nedostaje subverzivnosti. Epizoda s fantomskim izvanzemaljcem naivna je i nepotrebna iako je mogla povući intrigantno pitanje o sankcijama za zločin van dosega zemaljskih tribunala. Konačni sraz Christophera i Zaca u svemiru protivi se zakonima fizike, dok je predvidiv kraj kao posuđen iz reklame za pronatalitetne pokrete.
Da je Burger pogledao 'Gospodara muha', adaptaciju hvaljenog romana Williama Goldinga o skupini civiliziranih ljudi koji podivljaju u borbi za opstanak, ili makar jedan nastavak TV serijala 'Izgubljeni', znao bi što nedostaje njegovim 'Putnicima'.
