Oralno zdravlje je sastavni dio općeg zdravlja i važan čimbenik ukupne kvalitete života, upozoravaju iz Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo na Europski dan oralnog zdravlja koji se obilježava svake godine 12. rujna.

Najčešća oboljenja usta i zuba, karijes i parodontitis su javnozdravstveni problem zbog svog velikog zdravstvenog, socijalnog i ekonomskog značaja. Kako navode iz HZJZ-a, karijes je bolest zuba od koje pati čak 6,3 milijardi ljudi na svijetu ili gotovo 80 posto svjetske populacije jer se liječe posljedice umjesto da se spriječi nastanak bolesti.

"Parodontitis je bolest potpornih struktura zuba kod koje se posljedično, ako se pravovremeno i adekvatno ne liječi, javlja gubitak zubi te se smatra šestom najučestalijom kroničnom bolesti od koje boluje 80 posto odrasle populacije. Istraživanja su pokazala povezanost parodontne bolesti sa sistemskim bolestima i stanjima kao što su cerebrovaskularne i kardiovaskularne bolesti, šećerna bolest, osteoporoza, bolesti dišnog sustava, kao i čak sedam puta veći rizik od preranog poroda novorođenčadi manje porođajne težine. Pravilna i dobra oralna higijena ključ je uspjeha u liječenju oralnih bolesti", poručuju iz HZJZ-a.

Upute stručnjaka za kvalitetno i učinkovito održavanje oralnog zdravlja su sljedeće: četkati zube najmanje dva puta dnevno, ograničiti unos hrane bogate šećerima, a svakako nakon konzumacije očistiti zube, te redovito odlaziti na kontrolne preglede kod doktora dentalne medicine, a to je najmanje jednom ili dva puta godišnje.

Oralno zdravlje je sastavni dio općeg zdravlja i važan čimbenik ukupne kvalitete života, upozoravaju iz Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo na Europski dan oralnog zdravlja koji se obilježava svake godine 12. rujna.

Najčešća oboljenja usta i zuba, karijes i parodontitis su javnozdravstveni problem zbog svog velikog zdravstvenog, socijalnog i ekonomskog značaja. Kako navode iz HZJZ-a, karijes je bolest zuba od koje pati čak 6,3 milijardi ljudi na svijetu ili gotovo 80 posto svjetske populacije jer se liječe posljedice umjesto da se spriječi nastanak bolesti.

"Parodontitis je bolest potpornih struktura zuba kod koje se posljedično, ako se pravovremeno i adekvatno ne liječi, javlja gubitak zubi te se smatra šestom najučestalijom kroničnom bolesti od koje boluje 80 posto odrasle populacije. Istraživanja su pokazala povezanost parodontne bolesti sa sistemskim bolestima i stanjima kao što su cerebrovaskularne i kardiovaskularne bolesti, šećerna bolest, osteoporoza, bolesti dišnog sustava, kao i čak sedam puta veći rizik od preranog poroda novorođenčadi manje porođajne težine. Pravilna i dobra oralna higijena ključ je uspjeha u liječenju oralnih bolesti", poručuju iz HZJZ-a.

Upute stručnjaka za kvalitetno i učinkovito održavanje oralnog zdravlja su sljedeće: četkati zube najmanje dva puta dnevno, ograničiti unos hrane bogate šećerima, a svakako nakon konzumacije očistiti zube, te redovito odlaziti na kontrolne preglede kod doktora dentalne medicine, a to je najmanje jednom ili dva puta godišnje.

Parodontitis je bolest zuba od koje pati mnogo više ljudi nego što se misli, a pokazalo se da je povezana s brojnim drugim oboljenjima

Oralno zdravlje je sastavni dio općeg zdravlja i važan čimbenik ukupne kvalitete života, upozoravaju iz Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo na Europski dan oralnog zdravlja koji se obilježava svake godine 12. rujna.

Najčešća oboljenja usta i zuba, karijes i parodontitis su javnozdravstveni problem zbog svog velikog zdravstvenog, socijalnog i ekonomskog značaja. Kako navode iz HZJZ-a, karijes je bolest zuba od koje pati čak 6,3 milijardi ljudi na svijetu ili gotovo 80 posto svjetske populacije jer se liječe posljedice umjesto da se spriječi nastanak bolesti.

"Parodontitis je bolest potpornih struktura zuba kod koje se posljedično, ako se pravovremeno i adekvatno ne liječi, javlja gubitak zubi te se smatra šestom najučestalijom kroničnom bolesti od koje boluje 80 posto odrasle populacije. Istraživanja su pokazala povezanost parodontne bolesti sa sistemskim bolestima i stanjima kao što su cerebrovaskularne i kardiovaskularne bolesti, šećerna bolest, osteoporoza, bolesti dišnog sustava, kao i čak sedam puta veći rizik od preranog poroda novorođenčadi manje porođajne težine. Pravilna i dobra oralna higijena ključ je uspjeha u liječenju oralnih bolesti", poručuju iz HZJZ-a.

Upute stručnjaka za kvalitetno i učinkovito održavanje oralnog zdravlja su sljedeće: četkati zube najmanje dva puta dnevno, ograničiti unos hrane bogate šećerima, a svakako nakon konzumacije očistiti zube, te redovito odlaziti na kontrolne preglede kod doktora dentalne medicine, a to je najmanje jednom ili dva puta godišnje.
