Stanovnici Bahama očekuju da će ih tijekom nedjelje pogoditi uragan Dorian koji je od subote ojačao do najjače, 5. kategorije. Oluja se trenutno kreće Atlantikom prema Bahamima gdje se očekuje katastrofalan udar, piše jutarnji.hr.

Uragani pete kategorije, prema Saffir-Simpsonovoj skali, predstavljaju najveću opasnost. Vjetrovi mogu doseći brzinu od 252 km/h i više te tako prouzročiti najgore štete, a to uključuje uništavanje stambenih objekata.

Prema izvještaju Nacionalnog centra za uragane, koji prenosi CNN, oko 14 sati po hrvatskom vremenu Doriana su pratili vjetrovi od 260 km/h, nalazio se 55 kilometara istočno od otoka Abaca te se očekuje da će na Bahamima prouzročiti katastrofalnu štetu. Promjene u intenzitetu moguće su u iduća 24 sata, no stručnjaci kažu da bi Dorian mogao dugo zadržati snažan intenzitet.

- Očekuje se da će se iznimno opasna oluja obrušiti na Bahame u nedjelju obilnim kišama koje bi mogle potrajati dva dana, visokim valovima i jakim vjetrovima - priopćio je NHC.

- Snaga ovog uragana je naprosto eksplodirala, ustvrdili su meteorolozi, koji u prethodnim prognozama nisu najavljivali da će oluja narasti do petog stupnja.

Kažu da bi mogao uzrokovati ljudske žrtve i donijeti snažne pljuskove i poplave, a u ponedjeljak očekuju da će stići do Floride. Međutim, točne prognoze nisu moguće jer uragan može promijeniti smjer i intenzitet. Meteorolozi na Bahamima već nekoliko dana upozoravaju da treba spasiti živu glavu.

- Morat ćete se preispitati i odlučiti želite li zaštititi vrijednosti i ono što posjedujete ili ćete zaštiti sebe. Očekujte oluju koja će ugroziti živote na Bahamima - rekao je CNN-ov meteorolog Chad Myers.

Svjedoci kažu da je stotine ljudi na otoku Abaco na Bahamima, gdje se očekuje da će Dorian prvo udariti, odbilo evakuaciju i odbijaju napustiti svoje domove.

Vlasti su u subotu u posljednjem apelu stanovništvu i turistima poručili da svi potraže skloništa ‘jer Dorian stiže’.

Premijer Hubert Minnis je pozvao stanovnike otoka Abaca i Grand Bahama da se upute na glavni otok kako bi izbjegli ‘opasnu i razornu oluju’.

- Želim da zapamtite da se kuće i ostala zdanja mogu ponovo izgraditi. Živote ne možemo zamijeniti - kazao je premijer i upozorio da je olujom ugroženo oko 73.000 stanovnika i 21.000 domova.

Valovi bi mogli doseći preko šest metara, objavio je NHC.

Stanovnici Bahama očekuju da će ih tijekom nedjelje pogoditi uragan Dorian koji je od subote ojačao do najjače, 5. kategorije. Oluja se trenutno kreće Atlantikom prema Bahamima gdje se očekuje katastrofalan udar, piše jutarnji.hr.

Uragani pete kategorije, prema Saffir-Simpsonovoj skali, predstavljaju najveću opasnost. Vjetrovi mogu doseći brzinu od 252 km/h i više te tako prouzročiti najgore štete, a to uključuje uništavanje stambenih objekata.

Prema izvještaju Nacionalnog centra za uragane, koji prenosi CNN, oko 14 sati po hrvatskom vremenu Doriana su pratili vjetrovi od 260 km/h, nalazio se 55 kilometara istočno od otoka Abaca te se očekuje da će na Bahamima prouzročiti katastrofalnu štetu. Promjene u intenzitetu moguće su u iduća 24 sata, no stručnjaci kažu da bi Dorian mogao dugo zadržati snažan intenzitet.

- Očekuje se da će se iznimno opasna oluja obrušiti na Bahame u nedjelju obilnim kišama koje bi mogle potrajati dva dana, visokim valovima i jakim vjetrovima - priopćio je NHC.

- Snaga ovog uragana je naprosto eksplodirala, ustvrdili su meteorolozi, koji u prethodnim prognozama nisu najavljivali da će oluja narasti do petog stupnja.

Kažu da bi mogao uzrokovati ljudske žrtve i donijeti snažne pljuskove i poplave, a u ponedjeljak očekuju da će stići do Floride. Međutim, točne prognoze nisu moguće jer uragan može promijeniti smjer i intenzitet. Meteorolozi na Bahamima već nekoliko dana upozoravaju da treba spasiti živu glavu.

- Morat ćete se preispitati i odlučiti želite li zaštititi vrijednosti i ono što posjedujete ili ćete zaštiti sebe. Očekujte oluju koja će ugroziti živote na Bahamima - rekao je CNN-ov meteorolog Chad Myers.

Svjedoci kažu da je stotine ljudi na otoku Abaco na Bahamima, gdje se očekuje da će Dorian prvo udariti, odbilo evakuaciju i odbijaju napustiti svoje domove.

Vlasti su u subotu u posljednjem apelu stanovništvu i turistima poručili da svi potraže skloništa ‘jer Dorian stiže’.

Premijer Hubert Minnis je pozvao stanovnike otoka Abaca i Grand Bahama da se upute na glavni otok kako bi izbjegli ‘opasnu i razornu oluju’.

- Želim da zapamtite da se kuće i ostala zdanja mogu ponovo izgraditi. Živote ne možemo zamijeniti - kazao je premijer i upozorio da je olujom ugroženo oko 73.000 stanovnika i 21.000 domova.

Valovi bi mogli doseći preko šest metara, objavio je NHC.
