Snage sigurnosti uhitile su više od 5000 članova bande u Salvadoru u malo više od tjedan dana, kazao je u nedjelju predsjednik Nayib Bukele.

Bukele je putem Twittera objavio da je u 8 dana uhićeno 5184 članova bandi te objavio fotografije uhićenika i videozapise oklopnih vozila.

Policija je prethodno objavila da je samo u nedjelju uhitila 100 osumnjičenika.

Optužuje ih se za nezakonito posjedovanje oružja, članstvo u kriminalnoj organizaciji, posjedovanje droge i spolno nasilje.

Vlada Salvadora nedavno je proglasila izvanredno stanje zbog vala nasilja povezanog s bandama. Povećane su i kazne za zločine koje počine članovi bande.

Organizacije koje se bave ljudskim pravima izrazile su zabrinutost, a Bukele je kazao da su nevladine organizacije, aktivisti u borbi za ljudska prava i novinari saveznici bandi.

"Postalo je jasno tko su suradnici članova bandi", glasi tvit koji je Bukele objavio u nedjelju.

Salvador, država od 6 milijuna stanovnika, ima jednu od najvećih stopa ubojstava na svijetu.

Prema podacima policije, 2019. godine u prosjeku je bilo 36 ubojstava na 100.000 ljudi, što je upola manje nego tri godine ranije.

Otkad je Bukele na vlasti, taj je broj pao na 20 ubojstava na 100.000. Odbacio je optužbe o postojanju neformalnog pakta između vlade i bandi.

Snage sigurnosti uhitile su više od 5000 članova bande u Salvadoru u malo više od tjedan dana, kazao je u nedjelju predsjednik Nayib Bukele.

Bukele je putem Twittera objavio da je u 8 dana uhićeno 5184 članova bandi te objavio fotografije uhićenika i videozapise oklopnih vozila.

Policija je prethodno objavila da je samo u nedjelju uhitila 100 osumnjičenika.

Optužuje ih se za nezakonito posjedovanje oružja, članstvo u kriminalnoj organizaciji, posjedovanje droge i spolno nasilje.

Vlada Salvadora nedavno je proglasila izvanredno stanje zbog vala nasilja povezanog s bandama. Povećane su i kazne za zločine koje počine članovi bande.

Organizacije koje se bave ljudskim pravima izrazile su zabrinutost, a Bukele je kazao da su nevladine organizacije, aktivisti u borbi za ljudska prava i novinari saveznici bandi.

"Postalo je jasno tko su suradnici članova bandi", glasi tvit koji je Bukele objavio u nedjelju.

Salvador, država od 6 milijuna stanovnika, ima jednu od najvećih stopa ubojstava na svijetu.

Prema podacima policije, 2019. godine u prosjeku je bilo 36 ubojstava na 100.000 ljudi, što je upola manje nego tri godine ranije.

Otkad je Bukele na vlasti, taj je broj pao na 20 ubojstava na 100.000. Odbacio je optužbe o postojanju neformalnog pakta između vlade i bandi.

Snage sigurnosti uhitile su više od 5000 članova bande u Salvadoru u malo više od tjedan dana, kazao je u nedjelju predsjednik Nayib Bukele.

Bukele je putem Twittera objavio da je u 8 dana uhićeno 5184 članova bandi te objavio fotografije uhićenika i videozapise oklopnih vozila.

Policija je prethodno objavila da je samo u nedjelju uhitila 100 osumnjičenika.

Optužuje ih se za nezakonito posjedovanje oružja, članstvo u kriminalnoj organizaciji, posjedovanje droge i spolno nasilje.

Vlada Salvadora nedavno je proglasila izvanredno stanje zbog vala nasilja povezanog s bandama. Povećane su i kazne za zločine koje počine članovi bande.

Organizacije koje se bave ljudskim pravima izrazile su zabrinutost, a Bukele je kazao da su nevladine organizacije, aktivisti u borbi za ljudska prav...
