Nakon što je ruska vojska u Ukrajini izgubila svojih skoro 800 najboljih tenkova T-72, T-80 i T-90, iz naftalina su izvukli i starudiju kojoj bi primjerenije mjesto bio vojni muzej, a ne bojišnica. Neki od odavno otpisanih tenkova T-62, koji se desetljećima nisu mikali iz skladišta, uočeni su kako se kotrljaju na ratištu u južnoj Ukrajini.

- Prisutnost tenkova T-62 na bojnom polju naglašava ruski nedostatak moderne, borbeno spremne opreme, ocijenilo je Ministarstvo obrane Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.

Sovjetski tenk T-62 proizvodio se između 1961. i 1975. godine i bio je standardni tenk u Crvenoj armiji sve do pojave T-64 i T-72. Tenk je zapravo proširena verzija prastarog modela T-55, prvog velikog tenka Sovjetskog Saveza nakon Drugoga svjetskog rata. Malo je tko mogao povjerovati da će Rusi poslati prastare tenkove u izravnu borbu. U odnosu na moderne tenkove, T-62 s topom od 115 mm, neusporedivo je inferiorniji u svakom pogledu.

Kad su se pojavile informacije da će se u borbu uključiti i tenkovi stari 50 godina, vojni analitičari komentirali su kako će se vjerojatno koristiti u gradovima pod ruskom kontrolom kao svojevrsni pokretni bunkeri, isključivo u obrambene svrhe. Umjesto toga, Rusi su ih rasporedili na južnom bojištu gdje su ukrajinski bataljuni u protuofenzivima posljednjih tjedana prešli rijeku Ingulec i zauzeli položaje sjeverno od Hersona.

Vojni analitičar Forbesa David Axe, primjećuje kako su ruske posade  na kupolu tenka zavarile improvizirane kaveze, za koje vjeruju da bi mogli dodatno zaštititi vozila. U prvom redu od napada odozgo protutenkovskim navođenim projektilima kao što su ukrajinska Stugna-P i američki Javelin. To što su pojačali tenkove sugerira da su ruske snage itekako svjesne koliko su ta drevna oklopna vozila ranjiva na ukrajinsko protutenkovsko oružje. Ovi tenkovi također su dobili neku vrstu improviziranog štita ili pločastog oklopa postavljenog okomito iza kupole.

 - Nije to nelogično razmišljanje ali nema dokaza ni da zavareni kavez nudi bilo kakvu poboljšanu zaštitu. Štoviše, možda i više šteti jer dodaje težinu, ometa pogled zapovjedniku tenka, blokira mitraljez na kupoli i čini tenk višim, a time i lakšim za uočavanje na bojnom polju - upozorava Axe. Uz to, ruska vojska drži većinu svojih starih tenkova na golemim otvorenim parkiralištima gdje su izloženi vlažnim i hladnim zimama pa je i hrđa učinila svoja.

Ironija je jedino, ocjenjuje analitičar, što su ti prastari T-62 izdržali brutalne uvjete bolje nego noviji modeli, jer nemaju sofisticiranu i osjetljivu optiku i elektroniku. Ali ništa ne može ostati na otvorenim desetljećima, a da ne dođe do propadanja. Stoga i minimalna akcija može biti dovoljna da zaglave negdje u kvaru. Njihovo pregrijavanje je još jedan veliki rizik, pa nikoga ne čudi što na društvenim mrežama već kruže fotografije pokvareniog T-62 na cesti, negdje u južnoj Ukrajini.

U nedavnom intervjuu za Moskovski Komsomolac, član posade jednog ruskog tenka rekao je da kavezni oklop značajno smanjuje sposobnost prodiranja projektila ili protutenkovske rakete, ali da donosi druge probleme.

Zapovjednik tenka Aleksej Uhačov objasnio je kako su u njegovoj jedinici najprije zavarili metalne rešetke za zaštitu od protutenkovskih projektila, a zatim ih uklonili.

- Nezgodne su jer se mitraljez ne pomiče kako treba. Isto tako kada se antena poklopi s rešetkom radio stanica pregori, veza nestaje. A ako dođe do neke vrste požara, tamo će biti jednostavno nerealno izaći iz spremnika. Stoga smo ih uklanjali - ispričao je Uhačov.

Nakon što je ruska vojska u Ukrajini izgubila svojih skoro 800 najboljih tenkova T-72, T-80 i T-90, iz naftalina su izvukli i starudiju kojoj bi primjerenije mjesto bio vojni muzej, a ne bojišnica. Neki od odavno otpisanih tenkova T-62, koji se desetljećima nisu mikali iz skladišta, uočeni su kako se kotrljaju na ratištu u južnoj Ukrajini.

- Prisutnost tenkova T-62 na bojnom polju naglašava ruski nedostatak moderne, borbeno spremne opreme, ocijenilo je Ministarstvo obrane Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.

Sovjetski tenk T-62 proizvodio se između 1961. i 1975. godine i bio je standardni tenk u Crvenoj armiji sve do pojave T-64 i T-72. Tenk je zapravo proširena verzija prastarog modela T-55, prvog velikog tenka Sovjetskog Saveza nakon Drugoga svjetskog rata. Malo je tko mogao povjerovati da će Rusi poslati prastare tenkove u izravnu borbu. U odnosu na moderne tenkove, T-62 s topom od 115 mm, neusporedivo je inferiorniji u svakom pogledu.

Kad su se pojavile informacije da će se u borbu uključiti i tenkovi stari 50 godina, vojni analitičari komentirali su kako će se vjerojatno koristiti u gradovima pod ruskom kontrolom kao svojevrsni pokretni bunkeri, isključivo u obrambene svrhe. Umjesto toga, Rusi su ih rasporedili na južnom bojištu gdje su ukrajinski bataljuni u protuofenzivima posljednjih tjedana prešli rijeku Ingulec i zauzeli položaje sjeverno od Hersona.

Vojni analitičar Forbesa David Axe, primjećuje kako su ruske posade  na kupolu tenka zavarile improvizirane kaveze, za koje vjeruju da bi mogli dodatno zaštititi vozila. U prvom redu od napada odozgo protutenkovskim navođenim projektilima kao što su ukrajinska Stugna-P i američki Javelin. To što su pojačali tenkove sugerira da su ruske snage itekako svjesne koliko su ta drevna oklopna vozila ranjiva na ukrajinsko protutenkovsko oružje. Ovi tenkovi također su dobili neku vrstu improviziranog štita ili pločastog oklopa postavljenog okomito iza kupole.

 - Nije to nelogično razmišljanje ali nema dokaza ni da zavareni kavez nudi bilo kakvu poboljšanu zaštitu. Štoviše, možda i više šteti jer dodaje težinu, ometa pogled zapovjedniku tenka, blokira mitraljez na kupoli i čini tenk višim, a time i lakšim za uočavanje na bojnom polju - upozorava Axe. Uz to, ruska vojska drži većinu svojih starih tenkova na golemim otvorenim parkiralištima gdje su izloženi vlažnim i hladnim zimama pa je i hrđa učinila svoja.

Ironija je jedino, ocjenjuje analitičar, što su ti prastari T-62 izdržali brutalne uvjete bolje nego noviji modeli, jer nemaju sofisticiranu i osjetljivu optiku i elektroniku. Ali ništa ne može ostati na otvorenim desetljećima, a da ne dođe do propadanja. Stoga i minimalna akcija može biti dovoljna da zaglave negdje u kvaru. Njihovo pregrijavanje je još jedan veliki rizik, pa nikoga ne čudi što na društvenim mrežama već kruže fotografije pokvareniog T-62 na cesti, negdje u južnoj Ukrajini.

U nedavnom intervjuu za Moskovski Komsomolac, član posade jednog ruskog tenka rekao je da kavezni oklop značajno smanjuje sposobnost prodiranja projektila ili protutenkovske rakete, ali da donosi druge probleme.

Zapovjednik tenka Aleksej Uhačov objasnio je kako su u njegovoj jedinici najprije zavarili metalne rešetke za zaštitu od protutenkovskih projektila, a zatim ih uklonili.

- Nezgodne su jer se mitraljez ne pomiče kako treba. Isto tako kada se antena poklopi s rešetkom radio stanica pregori, veza nestaje. A ako dođe do neke vrste požara, tamo će biti jednostavno nerealno izaći iz spremnika. Stoga smo ih uklanjali - ispričao je Uhačov.

Nakon što je ruska vojska u Ukrajini izgubila svojih skoro 800 najboljih tenkova T-72, T-80 i T-90, iz naftalina su izvukli i starudiju kojoj bi primjerenije mjesto bio vojni muzej, a ne bojišnica. Neki od odavno otpisanih tenkova T-62, koji se desetljećima nisu mikali iz skladišta, uočeni su kako se kotrljaju na ratištu u južnoj Ukrajini.

- Prisutnost tenkova T-62 na bojnom polju naglašava ruski nedostatak moderne, borbeno spremne opreme, ocijenilo je Ministarstvo obrane Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.
