Osvoje li republikanci samo jedan od dvaju domova Kongresa, a što je vrlo izvjesno, mogu se smatrati pobjednicima. Naime, budu li republikanci imali većinu u Zastupničkom domu, neće se bez njih više moći donositi zakoni. Predsjednik Joe Biden morat će u takvoj konstelaciji surađivati s republikancima. Bit će ovisan o njihovoj dobroj volji. Moć demokrata bit će smanjena.

Ovo je sažeti komentar dr. Mira Kovača, bivšeg ministra vanjskih poslova RH o američkim izborima dok su se u SAD-u rezultati još zbrajali te je bitka za Senat još bila neizvjesna, a u Kongresu su republikanci sigurno dobili većinu. Ipak, kako su rezultati u srijedu sve više pristizali postajalo je sve jasnije da, mimo očekivanja, republikanci baš i nisu trijumfirali, odnosno da nije uspio tzv. crveni val. Crveno je boja republikanaca. Na ovakvim izborima u SAD-u, naime, uobičajeno pobjeđuje oporba pa se to očekivalo i na ovima.

Ove Midterm Elections, odnosno izbore na polovini mandata američkog predsjednika, prati oštra polarizacija na pristaše dviju stranaka. Amerikanci biraju 435 zastupnika donjeg, Predstavničkog doma Kongresa, čiji je mandat dvije godine, zatim dio, odnosno 35 od stotinu članova gornjeg doma, Senata, za šestogodišnji mandat. Biraju se i guverneri za 36 od 50 saveznih država.

Dr. Kovača pitali smo kako će se eventualna pobjeda republikanaca u Kongresu odraziti na nastavak politike SAD-a prema ratu u Ukrajini s obzirom na to da su neki analitičari izrazili sumnju da će biti ista.

- Vanjska politika je područje na kojem se tradicionalno i u velikoj mjeri postiže suglasje između dva tabora. Budući da se SAD pod demokratima maksimalno angažirao na strani napadnute Ukrajine i da od toga ima značajne ekonomske koristi, realno je da na tom planu bitnih promjena američke politike neće biti. SAD će i dalje nastojati slabiti moć Rusije kao političkog i energetskog konkurenta i usporedno s time pripremati se za konfrontaciju s Kinom, ne samo na trgovinskom i tehnološkom nego po potrebi i na vojnom planu.

Bi li aktualni predsjednik Joe Biden, s obzirom na visoku dob, bio dobar demokratski kandidat na predsjedničkim izborima za dvije godine, a pogotovo u srazu s bivšim predsjednikom Donaldom Trumpom koji najavljuje kandidaturu, pitali smo našeg sugovornika.

- Još se ne zna tko će biti kandidati demokrata i republikanaca za američke predsjedničke izbore 2024. godine. Znat će se najkasnije sredinom 2024. godine – kaže bivši ministar.

U srijedu se govorilo i o guverneru s Floride Ron DeSantisu kao glavnom protukandidatu na unutarstranačkim izborima republikanaca, no po Miru Kovaču i o tome je rano spekulirati.

- Donald Trump je, uza sve što je činio, i dobroga i lošega, i nakon svih udaraca koje je pretrpio, još uvijek na nogama, te ostavlja dojam da je odlučan ići na novu kandidaturu – ističe. DeSantis je mlad i veliki zagovornik konzervativne politike te ga mnogi spominju kao kandidata umjesto Trumpa, a pobijedio je na ovim izborima. No Trump mu je na skupu ovog vikenda, nazvavši ga posprdno Ron DeSanctimonious poručio da bi se, ako se bude natjecao, mogao jako ozlijediti. Za Fox News izjavio je kako bi otkrio stvari o njemu koje neće biti baš laskave. "Ja o njemu znam više nego itko, osim, možda, njegove supruge", znakovito je rekao.

Svakako, zanimljivo je i da kandidat republikanaca, planetarno popularna TV zvijezda i liječnik, Mehmet Oz, nije prošao u Senat. Izgubio je u u Pennsylvaniji od protukandidata, demokrata Johna Fettermana. Nisu se još neki kandidati Republikanaca proslavili. Herschela Walkera u Georgiji čeka drugi krug. Pobjeda Blakea Mastersa u Arizoni vrlo je neizvjesna.

Republikanci će preispitati njegove političke instinkte nakon utorka navečer. A ako sljedeći tjedan krene u novu utrku za predsjednika, bit će to iz slabije pozicije.

Brojke potvrđuju vrlo visoku izlaznost na ovim izborima što govori o visoko motiviranim biračima i jedne i druge stranke. No, procjenjuje se da je upravo visoka izlaznost spriječila uvjerljiviju pobjedu republikanaca. Zanimljiva je i Trumpova izjava u noći izbora pred novinarkom NewsNationa koja je napomenula da je u predizbornoj kampanji podržao više od 330 kandidata Republikanske stranke.

Na pitanje koliko će rezultati republikanaca, pobijedili ili izgubili, biti njegova zasluga, odgovorio je: "Pa, ako pobijede, ja bih trebao dobiti sve zasluge. Ako izgube, nitko ne bi trebao kriviti mene". Točno u njegovu stilu.

Osvoje li republikanci samo jedan od dvaju domova Kongresa, a što je vrlo izvjesno, mogu se smatrati pobjednicima. Naime, budu li republikanci imali većinu u Zastupničkom domu, neće se bez njih više moći donositi zakoni. Predsjednik Joe Biden morat će u takvoj konstelaciji surađivati s republikancima. Bit će ovisan o njihovoj dobroj volji. Moć demokrata bit će smanjena.

Ovo je sažeti komentar dr. Mira Kovača, bivšeg ministra vanjskih poslova RH o američkim izborima dok su se u SAD-u rezultati još zbrajali te je bitka za Senat još bila neizvjesna, a u Kongresu su republikanci sigurno dobili većinu. Ipak, kako su rezultati u srijedu sve više pristizali postajalo je sve jasnije da, mimo očekivanja, republikanci baš i nisu trijumfirali, odnosno da nije uspio tzv. crveni val. Crveno je boja republikanaca. Na ovakvim izborima u SAD-u, naime, uobičajeno pobjeđuje oporba pa se to očekivalo i na ovima.

Ove Midterm Elections, odnosno izbore na polovini mandata američkog predsjednika, prati oštra polarizacija na pristaše dviju stranaka. Amerikanci biraju 435 zastupnika donjeg, Predstavničkog doma Kongresa, čiji je mandat dvije godine, zatim dio, odnosno 35 od stotinu članova gornjeg doma, Senata, za šestogodišnji mandat. Biraju se i guverneri za 36 od 50 saveznih država.

Dr. Kovača pitali smo kako će se eventualna pobjeda republikanaca u Kongresu odraziti na nastavak politike SAD-a prema ratu u Ukrajini s obzirom na to da su neki analitičari izrazili sumnju da će biti ista.

- Vanjska politika je područje na kojem se tradicionalno i u velikoj mjeri postiže suglasje između dva tabora. Budući da se SAD pod demokratima maksimalno angažirao na strani napadnute Ukrajine i da od toga ima značajne ekonomske koristi, realno je da na tom planu bitnih promjena američke politike neće biti. SAD će i dalje nastojati slabiti moć Rusije kao političkog i energetskog konkurenta i usporedno s time pripremati se za konfrontaciju s Kinom, ne samo na trgovinskom i tehnološkom nego po potrebi i na vojnom planu.

Bi li aktualni predsjednik Joe Biden, s obzirom na visoku dob, bio dobar demokratski kandidat na predsjedničkim izborima za dvije godine, a pogotovo u srazu s bivšim predsjednikom Donaldom Trumpom koji najavljuje kandidaturu, pitali smo našeg sugovornika.

- Još se ne zna tko će biti kandidati demokrata i republikanaca za američke predsjedničke izbore 2024. godine. Znat će se najkasnije sredinom 2024. godine – kaže bivši ministar.

U srijedu se govorilo i o guverneru s Floride Ron DeSantisu kao glavnom protukandidatu na unutarstranačkim izborima republikanaca, no po Miru Kovaču i o tome je rano spekulirati.

- Donald Trump je, uza sve što je činio, i dobroga i lošega, i nakon svih udaraca koje je pretrpio, još uvijek na nogama, te ostavlja dojam da je odlučan ići na novu kandidaturu – ističe. DeSantis je mlad i veliki zagovornik konzervativne politike te ga mnogi spominju kao kandidata umjesto Trumpa, a pobijedio je na ovim izborima. No Trump mu je na skupu ovog vikenda, nazvavši ga posprdno Ron DeSanctimonious poručio da bi se, ako se bude natjecao, mogao jako ozlijediti. Za Fox News izjavio je kako bi otkrio stvari o njemu koje neće biti baš laskave. "Ja o njemu znam više nego itko, osim, možda, njegove supruge", znakovito je rekao.

Svakako, zanimljivo je i da kandidat republikanaca, planetarno popularna TV zvijezda i liječnik, Mehmet Oz, nije prošao u Senat. Izgubio je u u Pennsylvaniji od protukandidata, demokrata Johna Fettermana. Nisu se još neki kandidati Republikanaca proslavili. Herschela Walkera u Georgiji čeka drugi krug. Pobjeda Blakea Mastersa u Arizoni vrlo je neizvjesna.

Republikanci će preispitati njegove političke instinkte nakon utorka navečer. A ako sljedeći tjedan krene u novu utrku za predsjednika, bit će to iz slabije pozicije.

Brojke potvrđuju vrlo visoku izlaznost na ovim izborima što govori o visoko motiviranim biračima i jedne i druge stranke. No, procjenjuje se da je upravo visoka izlaznost spriječila uvjerljiviju pobjedu republikanaca. Zanimljiva je i Trumpova izjava u noći izbora pred novinarkom NewsNationa koja je napomenula da je u predizbornoj kampanji podržao više od 330 kandidata Republikanske stranke.

Na pitanje koliko će rezultati republikanaca, pobijedili ili izgubili, biti njegova zasluga, odgovorio je: "Pa, ako pobijede, ja bih trebao dobiti sve zasluge. Ako izgube, nitko ne bi trebao kriviti mene". Točno u njegovu stilu.
