Postojao je osobni antagonizam između Litvinjenka i Putina, a članovi njegove administracije imali su motiv za to ubojstvo, pokazala je istraga. Kremlj je uvijek negirao bilo kakvu umiješanost.

Litvinjenko (43) je bio otvoreni kritičar Putina i pobjegao je iz Rusije 2000. godine. Pred kraj života dobio je britansko državljanstvo. Otrovan je radioaktivnim polonijem-210 koji mu je stavljen u čaj u jednom londonskom hotelu i ubrzo je umro. Nakon njegove smrti otkrilo se da je radio za britansku tajnu službu MI6.

Otrovala su ga dvojica Rusa - Andrej Lugovoj, negdašnji KGB-ov zaštitar koji je postao zastupnikom, i Dmitrij Kovtun, također bivši ruski agent, navodi se u izvješću suca Roberta Owena. Oba muškarca negirala su svoju umiješanost u ubojstvo.

Sudac je rekao da su dvojica osumnjičenih vjerojatno djelovala u skladu s naređenjima ruske obavještajne službe FSB-a.

Izdvojivši tadašnjeg šefa FSB-a Nikolaja Patruševa zajedno s Putinom, sudac je napisao u izvješću na 300 stranica: "Uzimajući u obzir sve dokaze i analize koje su mi bili dostupni, zaključujem da je operaciju FSB-a za ubojstvo Litvinjenka vjerojatno odobrio Patrušev i također predsjednik Putin."

Komentirajući izvješće, Lugovoj je izjavio da su optužbe protiv njega "apsurdne", izvijestio je Reuters.
Litvinjenkova udovica Marina izjavila je da je "vrlo zadovoljna" izvješćem, prenosi BBC.

"Riječi koje je moj suprug izrekao na samrtnoj postelji, kada je optužio Putina, dokazao je engleski sud", rekla je ona ispred londonskog Visokog suda.

Pozvala je britanske vlasti da protjeraju sve ruske obavještajce, nametnu gospodarske snakcije i uvedu zabrane putovbanja za pojedince, uključujući Putina.

U intervjuu za ruski program BBC-a nedugo prije smrti Litvinjenko je rekao da je istraživao ubojstvo ruske novinarke Ane Politkovske.

Litvinjenko je napisao knjigu u kojoj je ustvrdio da je bombaški noćni napad na stambeni blok u Moskvi 1999., u kojemu je poginulo 300 ljudi, organizirao Putin kako bi mogao optužiti čečenske pobunjenike, vojno napasti Čečeniju i na valu patriotizma postati predsjednik.

Postojao je osobni antagonizam između Litvinjenka i Putina, a članovi njegove administracije imali su motiv za to ubojstvo, pokazala je istraga. Kremlj je uvijek negirao bilo kakvu umiješanost.

Litvinjenko (43) je bio otvoreni kritičar Putina i pobjegao je iz Rusije 2000. godine. Pred kraj života dobio je britansko državljanstvo. Otrovan je radioaktivnim polonijem-210 koji mu je stavljen u čaj u jednom londonskom hotelu i ubrzo je umro. Nakon njegove smrti otkrilo se da je radio za britansku tajnu službu MI6.

Otrovala su ga dvojica Rusa - Andrej Lugovoj, negdašnji KGB-ov zaštitar koji je postao zastupnikom, i Dmitrij Kovtun, također bivši ruski agent, navodi se u izvješću suca Roberta Owena. Oba muškarca negirala su svoju umiješanost u ubojstvo.

Sudac je rekao da su dvojica osumnjičenih vjerojatno djelovala u skladu s naređenjima ruske obavještajne službe FSB-a.

Izdvojivši tadašnjeg šefa FSB-a Nikolaja Patruševa zajedno s Putinom, sudac je napisao u izvješću na 300 stranica: "Uzimajući u obzir sve dokaze i analize koje su mi bili dostupni, zaključujem da je operaciju FSB-a za ubojstvo Litvinjenka vjerojatno odobrio Patrušev i također predsjednik Putin."

Komentirajući izvješće, Lugovoj je izjavio da su optužbe protiv njega "apsurdne", izvijestio je Reuters.
Litvinjenkova udovica Marina izjavila je da je "vrlo zadovoljna" izvješćem, prenosi BBC.

"Riječi koje je moj suprug izrekao na samrtnoj postelji, kada je optužio Putina, dokazao je engleski sud", rekla je ona ispred londonskog Visokog suda.

Pozvala je britanske vlasti da protjeraju sve ruske obavještajce, nametnu gospodarske snakcije i uvedu zabrane putovbanja za pojedince, uključujući Putina.

U intervjuu za ruski program BBC-a nedugo prije smrti Litvinjenko je rekao da je istraživao ubojstvo ruske novinarke Ane Politkovske.

Litvinjenko je napisao knjigu u kojoj je ustvrdio da je bombaški noćni napad na stambeni blok u Moskvi 1999., u kojemu je poginulo 300 ljudi, organizirao Putin kako bi mogao optužiti čečenske pobunjenike, vojno napasti Čečeniju i na valu patriotizma postati predsjednik.
