Djevojčica (14) koja je u četvrtak poginula pri padu stabla na kuću prva je žrtva uragana Laura u Louisiani,  jednog od najjačih koji je ikada zahvatio tu državu.

Guverner John Bel Edwards je rekao na kanalu MSNBC da se "boji da to neće biti jedina žrtva, iako se moli da ih više ne bude", potvrdivši prvu smrtno stradalu osobu.

U 1 sat iza ponoći po lokalnom vremenu uragan je prešao u 4. od 5 kategorija u razini obalnog mjesta Camerona, blizu granice s Teksasom u Meksičkom zaljevu, uz vjetrove do 240 km na sat, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane. 

To ga čini najsnažnijim uraganom koji je je zahvatio Louisianu u dulje od 150 godina, prema podacima stručnjaka za uragane sveučilišta Colorado Philipa Klotzbacha.

Ujutro su stabla i električni vodovi bili razbacani po cestama, kuće srušene, krovovi iščupani, ulice poplavljene i pune ruševina. 

Više od 700.000 osoba je ostalo bez električne energije u Louisiani i Teksasu, prema stranici PowerOutage.us.

Guverner Edwards je na Twitteru pozvao stanovništvo da do nove uredbe ne izlaze iz kuća i da isključe klimatizacijske uređaje. 

Premještanjem na sjever uragan brzo gubi snagu.

Prema posljednjim podacima Nacionalnog centra za uragane od 16 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu, uragan je znatno oslabio i vjetrovi sada pušu do 120 km na sat, čime je prešao u 1. kategoriju. 

Ali meteorolozi i dalje upozoravaju na poplave daleko u unutrašnjosti dok se uragan kreće prema Arkansasu, koji bi trebao zadesiti tijekom noći na petak.

Guverner susjedne države Teksas Greg Abbott rekao je na mreži CBS da vodeni val "nije bio toliki koliko se ranije predviđalo" a da su naređene evakuacije stanovništva u obalnim područjima vjerojatno spasile mnogo života.

Meteorolozi su upozoravali da bi Laura mogla pogurati masivni vodeni zid 65 kilometara od mora prema unutrašnjosti.

Djevojčica (14) koja je u četvrtak poginula pri padu stabla na kuću prva je žrtva uragana Laura u Louisiani,  jednog od najjačih koji je ikada zahvatio tu državu.

Guverner John Bel Edwards je rekao na kanalu MSNBC da se "boji da to neće biti jedina žrtva, iako se moli da ih više ne bude", potvrdivši prvu smrtno stradalu osobu.

U 1 sat iza ponoći po lokalnom vremenu uragan je prešao u 4. od 5 kategorija u razini obalnog mjesta Camerona, blizu granice s Teksasom u Meksičkom zaljevu, uz vjetrove do 240 km na sat, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane. 

To ga čini najsnažnijim uraganom koji je je zahvatio Louisianu u dulje od 150 godina, prema podacima stručnjaka za uragane sveučilišta Colorado Philipa Klotzbacha.

Ujutro su stabla i električni vodovi bili razbacani po cestama, kuće srušene, krovovi iščupani, ulice poplavljene i pune ruševina. 

Više od 700.000 osoba je ostalo bez električne energije u Louisiani i Teksasu, prema stranici PowerOutage.us.

Guverner Edwards je na Twitteru pozvao stanovništvo da do nove uredbe ne izlaze iz kuća i da isključe klimatizacijske uređaje. 

Premještanjem na sjever uragan brzo gubi snagu.

Prema posljednjim podacima Nacionalnog centra za uragane od 16 sati po srednjoeuropskom vremenu, uragan je znatno oslabio i vjetrovi sada pušu do 120 km na sat, čime je prešao u 1. kategoriju. 

Ali meteorolozi i dalje upozoravaju na poplave daleko u unutrašnjosti dok se uragan kreće prema Arkansasu, koji bi trebao zadesiti tijekom noći na petak.

Guverner susjedne države Teksas Greg Abbott rekao je na mreži CBS da vodeni val "nije bio toliki koliko se ranije predviđalo" a da su naređene evakuacije stanovništva u obalnim područjima vjerojatno spasile mnogo života.

Meteorolozi su upozoravali da bi Laura mogla pogurati masivni vodeni zid 65 kilometara od mora prema unutrašnjosti.

Prva žrtva uragana Laura u Louisiani, djevojčica poginula pri padu stabla na kuću

Djevojčica (14) koja je u četvrtak poginula pri padu stabla na kuću prva je žrtva uragana Laura u Louisiani,  jednog od najjačih koji je ikada zahvatio tu državu.

Guverner John Bel Edwards je rekao na kanalu MSNBC da se "boji da to neće biti jedina žrtva, iako se moli da ih više ne bude", potvrdivši prvu smrtno stradalu osobu.

U 1 sat iza ponoći po lokalnom vremenu uragan je prešao u 4. od 5 kategorija u razini obalnog mjesta Camerona, blizu granice s Teksasom u Meksičkom zaljevu, uz vjetrove do 240 km na sat, objavio je Nacionalni centar za uragane. 

To ga čini najsnažnijim uraganom koji je je zahvatio Louisianu u dulje od 150 godina, prema podacima stručnjaka za uragane sveučilišta Colorado Philipa Klotzbacha.

Ujutro su stabla i električni vodovi bili razbacani po cest...
