Bolnice i zdravstvene ustanove diljem Ukrajine posljednjih se tjedana susreću s drastičnim povećanjem infekcija zbog otpornosti na antibiotike, zbog čega su Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija i američki Centar za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) upozorile Kijev da epidemija potencijalno predstavlja ugrozu za cijeli svijet.
"Riječ je o krizi koja zahtijeva hitno djelovanje, čak i tijekom trajanja sukoba, zato što nas je slično iskustvo iz drugih ratnih zona naučilo da prekasno odgovaranje na ugrozu toga tipa može imati izuzetno negativne dugoročne posljedice ne samo za lokalne civile, već i za cijeli svijet", piše u otvorenom pismu dotičnih institucija.
O čemu se zapravo radi? Ukrajinski dužnosnici Zavoda za javno zdravstvo proveli su istraživanje u tri regionalne bolnice - Trnopolju, Hmeljnickiju te ukrajinskoj Vinici. Od 353 ispitana pacijenta, ispitivači su kod njih 50, odnosno 14 posto, otkrili infekcije koje su dobili tijekom boravka u zdravstvenim ustanovama.
Od zaraženih pacijenata, njih čak 60 posto imalo je patogen otporan na široki spektar medikamenata. Usporedbe radi, prije rata se radilo o trendu koji je bio oko šest posto. Preliminarnom detekcijom problema ustanovljen je niz propusta, od higijene ruku zdravstvenih djelatnika koji saniraju rane dobivene na bojištima, do "višestrukih izazova" u opremi laboratorija i operacijskih sala. Također, procjena biosigurnosti na "suboptimalnoj je razini".
Poseban izvještaj američkog CDC-a iz kolovoza navodi da je samo kod jednog ukrajinskog pacijenta nađeno čak šest zasebnih bakterija otpornih na lijekove. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorava da takve infekcije smatraju jednom od najvećih ugroza za globalno javno zdravstvo. Naime, prema podacima iz 2019. zbog toga je umrlo više od milijun ljudi diljem svijeta.

Bolnice i zdravstvene ustanove diljem Ukrajine posljednjih se tjedana susreću s drastičnim povećanjem infekcija zbog otpornosti na antibiotike, zbog čega su Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija i američki Centar za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) upozorile Kijev da epidemija potencijalno predstavlja ugrozu za cijeli svijet.
"Riječ je o krizi koja zahtijeva hitno djelovanje, čak i tijekom trajanja sukoba, zato što nas je slično iskustvo iz drugih ratnih zona naučilo da prekasno odgovaranje na ugrozu toga tipa može imati izuzetno negativne dugoročne posljedice ne samo za lokalne civile, već i za cijeli svijet", piše u otvorenom pismu dotičnih institucija.
O čemu se zapravo radi? Ukrajinski dužnosnici Zavoda za javno zdravstvo proveli su istraživanje u tri regionalne bolnice - Trnopolju, Hmeljnickiju te ukrajinskoj Vinici. Od 353 ispitana pacijenta, ispitivači su kod njih 50, odnosno 14 posto, otkrili infekcije koje su dobili tijekom boravka u zdravstvenim ustanovama.
Od zaraženih pacijenata, njih čak 60 posto imalo je patogen otporan na široki spektar medikamenata. Usporedbe radi, prije rata se radilo o trendu koji je bio oko šest posto. Preliminarnom detekcijom problema ustanovljen je niz propusta, od higijene ruku zdravstvenih djelatnika koji saniraju rane dobivene na bojištima, do "višestrukih izazova" u opremi laboratorija i operacijskih sala. Također, procjena biosigurnosti na "suboptimalnoj je razini".
Poseban izvještaj američkog CDC-a iz kolovoza navodi da je samo kod jednog ukrajinskog pacijenta nađeno čak šest zasebnih bakterija otpornih na lijekove. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija upozorava da takve infekcije smatraju jednom od najvećih ugroza za globalno javno zdravstvo. Naime, prema podacima iz 2019. zbog toga je umrlo više od milijun ljudi diljem svijeta.
