Gotovo polovica stanovništva u Engleskoj i Walesu izjasnila se kao nereligiozna, po prvi put brojčano nadjačavši one koji se deklariraju kao kršćani, prenosi Sky News.

Prema novom istraživanju Britanskih društvenih stavova, čak 48.5 posto ispitanika koji su anketirani kroz 2015. godinu izjasnilo se da ne pripada nijednoj religiji, dok je takvih 2011. bilo tek 25 posto. Kao kršćani identificiralo se 43.8 posto stanovništva, od čega 19 posto otpada na anglikance, 8.3 posto na katolike, ostale kršćane 15.7 posto, te nekršćanske religije 7.7 posto.

Stephen Bullivant, profesor teologije i etike na katoličkom Sveučilištu St. Mary u Twickenhamu izjavio je za The Guardian da postoji izražen osjećaj rasta nereligioznosti proporcionalno rastu populacije.

- Ljudi koji su odgajani u duhu neke religije danas pak tvrde da ne pripadaju ni jednoj. Vidimo porast u broju ljudi koji ne samo da ne prakticiraju religiju u kojoj su odrasli, nego uopće ni ne označavaju u anketama da joj pripadaju – komentirao je Bullivant.

Prema novom istraživanju Britanskih društvenih stavova, čak 48.5 posto ispitanika koji su anketirani kroz 2015. godinu izjasnilo se da ne pripada nijednoj religiji, dok je takvih 2011. bilo tek 25 posto. Kao kršćani identificiralo se 43.8 posto stanovništva, od čega 19 posto otpada na anglikance, 8.3 posto na katolike, ostale kršćane 15.7 posto, te nekršćanske religije 7.7 posto.

Stephen Bullivant, profesor teologije i etike na katoličkom Sveučilištu St. Mary u Twickenhamu izjavio je za The Guardian da postoji izražen osjećaj rasta nereligioznosti proporcionalno rastu populacije.

- Ljudi koji su odgajani u duhu neke religije danas pak tvrde da ne pripadaju ni jednoj. Vidimo porast u broju ljudi koji ne samo da ne prakticiraju religiju u kojoj su odrasli, nego uopće ni ne označavaju u anketama da joj pripadaju – komentirao je Bullivant.
