Novi slučaj ebole potvrđen je na istoku Demokratske Republike Kongo, rekao je ministar zdravlja u petak, pet mjeseci nakon okončanja posljednje tamošnje epidemije.

Trogodišnji dječak bio je pozitivan na testiranju u blizini grada Benija, jednog od epicentra izbijanja epidemije 2018-2020. godine. Dječak je u srijedu umro od bolesti, rekao je ministar zdravstva Jean Jacques Mbungani u priopćenju.

Identificirano je oko 100 ljudi koji su možda bili izloženi virusu i bit će nadzirani kako bi se utvrdilo imaju li simptome, dodao je.

Interno izvješće iz biomedicinskog laboratorija u DR Kongu pokazuje kako je još troje djece u gusto naseljenom naselju Butsili u Beniju također prošlog mjeseca pokazivalo simptome ebole i umrlo, ali nitko nije testiran.

DR Kongo je do sada zabilježio 11 valova epidemije od kada je bolest, koja uzrokuje jako povraćanje i proljev, a prenosi se kontaktom s tjelesnim tekućinama, otkrivena u ekvatorijalnoj šumi u blizini rijeke Ebole 1976. godine.

U posljednjem valu epidemije (2018-2020) u istočnom DR Kongu preminulo je više od 2.200 ljudi.

"Zahvaljujući iskustvu stečenom u upravljanju virusom ebole tijekom prethodnih epidemija, uvjereni smo da će naši timovi uspjeti kontrolirati ovu epidemiju što je prije moguće", rekao je Mbungani.

Nije neobično da se pojedinačni slučajevi javljaju nakon velike epidemije, kažu zdravstveni stručnjaci.

Bolest obično ubija oko polovice zaraženih, iako su tretmani razvijeni nakon rekordne epidemije u Zapadnoj Africi (2014-2016) značajno smanjili stopu smrtnosti kada se slučajevi otkriju rano.

Novi slučaj ebole potvrđen je na istoku Demokratske Republike Kongo, rekao je ministar zdravlja u petak, pet mjeseci nakon okončanja posljednje tamošnje epidemije.

Trogodišnji dječak bio je pozitivan na testiranju u blizini grada Benija, jednog od epicentra izbijanja epidemije 2018-2020. godine. Dječak je u srijedu umro od bolesti, rekao je ministar zdravstva Jean Jacques Mbungani u priopćenju.

Identificirano je oko 100 ljudi koji su možda bili izloženi virusu i bit će nadzirani kako bi se utvrdilo imaju li simptome, dodao je.

Interno izvješće iz biomedicinskog laboratorija u DR Kongu pokazuje kako je još troje djece u gusto naseljenom naselju Butsili u Beniju također prošlog mjeseca pokazivalo simptome ebole i umrlo, ali nitko nije testiran.

DR Kongo je do sada zabilježio 11 valova epidemije od kada je bolest, koja uzrokuje jako povraćanje i proljev, a prenosi se kontaktom s tjelesnim tekućinama, otkrivena u ekvatorijalnoj šumi u blizini rijeke Ebole 1976. godine.

U posljednjem valu epidemije (2018-2020) u istočnom DR Kongu preminulo je više od 2.200 ljudi.

"Zahvaljujući iskustvu stečenom u upravljanju virusom ebole tijekom prethodnih epidemija, uvjereni smo da će naši timovi uspjeti kontrolirati ovu epidemiju što je prije moguće", rekao je Mbungani.

Nije neobično da se pojedinačni slučajevi javljaju nakon velike epidemije, kažu zdravstveni stručnjaci.

Bolest obično ubija oko polovice zaraženih, iako su tretmani razvijeni nakon rekordne epidemije u Zapadnoj Africi (2014-2016) značajno smanjili stopu smrtnosti kada se slučajevi otkriju rano.

Na istoku DR Konga ponovno potvrđena ebola: trogodišnjak preminuo, još troje djece umrlo od simptoma ebole, ali nisu bili testirani

Novi slučaj ebole potvrđen je na istoku Demokratske Republike Kongo, rekao je ministar zdravlja u petak, pet mjeseci nakon okončanja posljednje tamošnje epidemije.

Trogodišnji dječak bio je pozitivan na testiranju u blizini grada Benija, jednog od epicentra izbijanja epidemije 2018-2020. godine. Dječak je u srijedu umro od bolesti, rekao je ministar zdravstva Jean Jacques Mbungani u priopćenju.

Identificirano je oko 100 ljudi koji su možda bili izloženi virusu i bit će nadzirani kako bi se utvrdilo imaju li simptome, dodao je.

Interno izvješće iz biomedicinskog laboratorija u DR Kongu pokazuje kako je još troje djece u gusto naseljenom naselju Butsili u Beniju također prošlog mjeseca pokazivalo simptome ebole i umrlo, ali nitko nije testiran.
