Devetnaestogodišnji surfer smrtno je stradao u petak u napadu morskog psa u neposrednoj blizini obale na plaži za surfere kraj Santa barbare. Morski ga je pas povukao u vodu te mu zadao smrtonosan ugriz, izvjestila je policija.

Vlasti su zatvorile sve obližnje plaže na 72 sata nakon napada morskog psa kojeg su očevici opisali kao 6,1-metarskog grabežljivca - prenosi Jutarnji.

Žrtva, 19-godišnji Lucas McKaine Ransom surfao je s prijateljem 30-ak metara od obale kada ga je morski pas napao. U trenutku napada nalazio svega pola metra od prijatelja Matthewa Garcije.

- Kada ga je morski pas uhvatio sve što je stigao reći bilo je 'Pomozi mi, čovječe!' Znao je što se događa. Sve se odvilo u manje od sekunde. Samo sam vidio veliku crvenu mrlju i crveni val kada ga je povukao ispod površine - ispričao je Garcia.

Dodao je kako je zaronio u potrazi za Ransomom, no njegovo je tijelo već bilo isplivalo na površinu. Na obali mu je pokušao dati umjetno disanje, no Ransom je već bio mrtav. Noga mu je bila unakažena.

- Ransom je zadobio velik ugriz na lijevoj nozi te je zbog krvarenja preminuo ubrzo nakon napada - objasnio je šerif okruga Santa Barbara.

Napad se dogodio na surf plaži u bazi vojnog zrakoplovstva Vandenberg (VAFB) nedaleko od Santa Barbare koje se nalazi oko 215 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Los Angelesa.

- Poštujući standardni protokol, VAFB je naredio zatvaranje svih plaža unutar baze u sljedećih 72 sata dok lokalne vlasti postavljaju znakove upozorenja na drugim prilazima moru. Znanstvenici pokušavaju identificirati vrstu morskog psa - navodi se iz VAFB-a.

Morski je pas u Kaliforniji posljednji put ubio 2008. godine. Riječ je bila o napadu velike bijele psine koja je usmrtila 66-godišnjeg plivača na plaži u San Diegu.

Devetnaestogodišnji surfer smrtno je stradao u petak u napadu morskog psa u neposrednoj blizini obale na plaži za surfere kraj Santa barbare. Morski ga je pas povukao u vodu te mu zadao smrtonosan ugriz, izvjestila je policija.

Vlasti su zatvorile sve obližnje plaže na 72 sata nakon napada morskog psa kojeg su očevici opisali kao 6,1-metarskog grabežljivca - prenosi Jutarnji.

Žrtva, 19-godišnji Lucas McKaine Ransom surfao je s prijateljem 30-ak metara od obale kada ga je morski pas napao. U trenutku napada nalazio svega pola metra od prijatelja Matthewa Garcije.

- Kada ga je morski pas uhvatio sve što je stigao reći bilo je 'Pomozi mi, čovječe!' Znao je što se događa. Sve se odvilo u manje od sekunde. Samo sam vidio veliku crvenu mrlju i crveni val kada ga je povukao ispod površine - ispričao je Garcia.

Dodao je kako je zaronio u potrazi za Ransomom, no njegovo je tijelo već bilo isplivalo na površinu. Na obali mu je pokušao dati umjetno disanje, no Ransom je već bio mrtav. Noga mu je bila unakažena.

- Ransom je zadobio velik ugriz na lijevoj nozi te je zbog krvarenja preminuo ubrzo nakon napada - objasnio je šerif okruga Santa Barbara.

Napad se dogodio na surf plaži u bazi vojnog zrakoplovstva Vandenberg (VAFB) nedaleko od Santa Barbare koje se nalazi oko 215 kilometara sjeverozapadno od Los Angelesa.

- Poštujući standardni protokol, VAFB je naredio zatvaranje svih plaža unutar baze u sljedećih 72 sata dok lokalne vlasti postavljaju znakove upozorenja na drugim prilazima moru. Znanstvenici pokušavaju identificirati vrstu morskog psa - navodi se iz VAFB-a.

Morski je pas u Kaliforniji posljednji put ubio 2008. godine. Riječ je bila o napadu velike bijele psine koja je usmrtila 66-godišnjeg plivača na plaži u San Diegu.
