U Njemačkoj se smanjuje rizik za oboljenje od raka. Ali, istovremeno je uočeno još nešto: taj trend je mnogo izraženiji u socijalno bolje razvijenim regijama, piše tim koji predvodi Lina Jansen iz Njemačkog centra za istraživanje raka (DKFZ) u znanstvenom časopisu International Journal of Cancer, donosi Deutsche Welle.

U svojoj studiji njemački su znanstvenici analizirali podatke 48 milijuna stanovnika u osam njemačkih saveznih pokrajina i usporedili dijagnoze raka između 2007. i 2018. godine. Rezultat: društvena nejednakost utječe na stopu novih slučajeva oboljenja od raka u Njemačkoj.

Znanstvenici su prvo podijelili sve regije uključene u studiju u pet grupa koristeći socio-ekonomski indeks, koji je između ostalog uključivao prihod, stopu zaposlenosti i obrazovanje.

Otkriveno je da je u promatranom razdoblju manje ljudi oboljelo od raka - i to u svih pet grupa. No pad broja oboljelih bio je mnogo manje izražen u siromašnim regijama nego u bogatim. Znanstvenici su to uočili kako kod ukupnog broja svih oboljenja od raka, tako i kod pojedinačnih vrsta kao što su rak debelog crijeva i rak pluća, posebno kod muškaraca.

Osim toga, utvrđeno je da se nejednakost povećala tijekom promatranog razdoblja: dok je 2007. godine u socio-ekonomski najnepovoljnijim regijama od raka oboljelo sedam posto više muškaraca nego u bogatijim regijama, ova brojka je u 2018. godini iznosila čak 23 posto. Kod žena je razlika porasla sa sedam posto u 2007. na 20 posto u 2018. godini.

Prema istraživanjima, način života znatno utječe na šanse za oboljenje od raka. Utvrđeno je da stanovnici socio-ekonomski slabijih regija češće puše, nedovoljno se bave sportom i pate od gojaznosti.

„Između 30 i 50 posto oboljenja od karcinoma se može izbjeći zdravim načinom života, kao što je nekonzumiranje duhana, i mjerama javnog zdravstva kao što je cijepljenje protiv infekcija koje izazivaju rak", upozorava Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (SZO).

Prevencija je najisplativija dugoročna strategija za borbu protiv raka.

Pored duhana, SZO kao faktore rizika za oboljenje od raka navodi i konzumaciju alkohola, nezdravu hranu, nebavljenje sportom i zagađenje zraka.

Lina Jansen iz DKFZ-a također naglašava potencijal prevencije: „Naši rezultati još jednom pokazuju da ćemo u budućnosti morati uložiti posebne napore kako bi svi ljudi imali jednaku korist od preporuka za zdrav način života i od ranog otkrivanja raka – bez obzira na to gdje žive", prenosi  Deutsche Welle.

U Njemačkoj se smanjuje rizik za oboljenje od raka. Ali, istovremeno je uočeno još nešto: taj trend je mnogo izraženiji u socijalno bolje razvijenim regijama, piše tim koji predvodi Lina Jansen iz Njemačkog centra za istraživanje raka (DKFZ) u znanstvenom časopisu International Journal of Cancer, donosi Deutsche Welle.

U svojoj studiji njemački su znanstvenici analizirali podatke 48 milijuna stanovnika u osam njemačkih saveznih pokrajina i usporedili dijagnoze raka između 2007. i 2018. godine. Rezultat: društvena nejednakost utječe na stopu novih slučajeva oboljenja od raka u Njemačkoj.

Znanstvenici su prvo podijelili sve regije uključene u studiju u pet grupa koristeći socio-ekonomski indeks, koji je između ostalog uključivao prihod, stopu zaposlenosti i obrazovanje.

Otkriveno je da je u promatranom razdoblju manje ljudi oboljelo od raka - i to u svih pet grupa. No pad broja oboljelih bio je mnogo manje izražen u siromašnim regijama nego u bogatim. Znanstvenici su to uočili kako kod ukupnog broja svih oboljenja od raka, tako i kod pojedinačnih vrsta kao što su rak debelog crijeva i rak pluća, posebno kod muškaraca.

Osim toga, utvrđeno je da se nejednakost povećala tijekom promatranog razdoblja: dok je 2007. godine u socio-ekonomski najnepovoljnijim regijama od raka oboljelo sedam posto više muškaraca nego u bogatijim regijama, ova brojka je u 2018. godini iznosila čak 23 posto. Kod žena je razlika porasla sa sedam posto u 2007. na 20 posto u 2018. godini.

Prema istraživanjima, način života znatno utječe na šanse za oboljenje od raka. Utvrđeno je da stanovnici socio-ekonomski slabijih regija češće puše, nedovoljno se bave sportom i pate od gojaznosti.

Prevencija je najisplativija dugoročna strategija za borbu protiv raka.

Pored duhana, SZO kao faktore rizika za oboljenje od raka navodi i konzumaciju alkohola, nezdravu hranu, nebavljenje sportom i zagađenje zraka.

Lina Jansen iz DKFZ-a također naglašava potencijal prevencije: „Naši rezultati još jednom pokazuju da ćemo u budućnosti morati uložiti posebne napore kako bi svi ljudi imali jednaku korist od preporuka za zdrav način života i od ranog otkrivanja raka – bez obzira na to gdje žive", prenosi  Deutsche Welle.

Istraživanje potvrdilo: od raka više oboljevaju siromašni stanovnici nego oni bogati! Objašnjeno i zašto

U Njemačkoj se smanjuje rizik za oboljenje od raka. Ali, istovremeno je uočeno još nešto: taj trend je mnogo izraženiji u socijalno bolje razvijenim regijama, piše tim koji predvodi Lina Jansen iz Njemačkog centra za istraživanje raka (DKFZ) u znanstvenom časopisu International Journal of Cancer, donosi Deutsche Welle.

U svojoj studiji njemački su znanstvenici analizirali podatke 48 milijuna stanovnika u osam njemačkih saveznih pokrajina i usporedili dijagnoze raka između 2007. i 2018. godine. Rezultat: društvena nejednakost utječe na stopu novih slučajeva oboljenja od raka u Njemačkoj.

Znanstvenici su prvo podijelili sve regije uključene u studiju u pet grupa koristeći socio-ekonomski indeks, koji je između ostalog uključivao prihod, stopu zaposlenosti i obrazovanje.

Otkriveno je da je u promatranom razdoblju manje ljudi oboljelo od raka - i to u svih pet grupa. No pad broja oboljelih bio je mnogo manje izražen u siromašnim regijama nego u bogatim. Znanstvenici su to uočili kako kod ukupnog broja svih oboljenja od raka, tako i kod pojedinačnih vrsta kao što su rak debelog crijeva i rak pluća, posebno kod muškaraca.

Osim toga, utvrđeno je da se nejednakost povećala tijekom promatranog razdoblja: dok je 2007. godine u socio-ekonomski najnepovoljnijim regijama od raka oboljelo sedam posto više muškaraca nego u bogatijim regijama, ova brojka je u 2018. godini iznosila čak 23 posto. Kod žena je razlika porasla sa sedam posto u 2007. na 20 posto u 2018. godini.

Prema istraživanjima, način života znatno utječe na šanse za oboljenje od raka. Utvrđeno je da stanovnici socio-ekonomski slabijih regija češće puše, nedovoljno se bave sportom i pate od gojaznosti.
