Europska unija postigla je dogovor o zabrani korištenja plastike za jednokratnu upotrebu poput plastičnih tanjura ili slamki, objavilo je u srijedu rano ujutro austrijsko predsjedništvo.

Savezna austrijska ministrica za održivost i turizam Elisabeth Koestinger u tvitu je napisala da je dogovor postignut opisujući to "prekretnicom u našim naporima da smanjimo plastični otpad".

Okvirni dogovor trebaju službeno potvrditi zemlje članice EU-a i parlament EU i očekuje se da će stupiti na snagu za dvije godine.

U svibnju Europska komisija predložila je zabranu niza plastičnih proizvoda za jednokratnu upotrebu za koje postoje alternative koje nisu od plastike istodobno smanjujući korištenje predmeta poput jednokratnih plastičnih posuda za hranu.

Više od 80 posto otpada u morima čini plastika, navela je tada komisija.

Plastični otpad posebni je problem u svjetskim morima jer se sporo razgrađuje i njegovi tragovi često se pronalaze u životinjskim vrstama poput kornjača, kitova ili ptica kao i u plodovima mora kojima se hrane ljudi.

Europska unija postigla je dogovor o zabrani korištenja plastike za jednokratnu upotrebu poput plastičnih tanjura ili slamki, objavilo je u srijedu rano ujutro austrijsko predsjedništvo.

Savezna austrijska ministrica za održivost i turizam Elisabeth Koestinger u tvitu je napisala da je dogovor postignut opisujući to "prekretnicom u našim naporima da smanjimo plastični otpad".

Okvirni dogovor trebaju službeno potvrditi zemlje članice EU-a i parlament EU i očekuje se da će stupiti na snagu za dvije godine.

U svibnju Europska komisija predložila je zabranu niza plastičnih proizvoda za jednokratnu upotrebu za koje postoje alternative koje nisu od plastike istodobno smanjujući korištenje predmeta poput jednokratnih plastičnih posuda za hranu.

Više od 80 posto otpada u morima čini plastika, navela je tada komisija.

Plastični otpad posebni je problem u svjetskim morima jer se sporo razgrađuje i njegovi tragovi često se pronalaze u životinjskim vrstama poput kornjača, kitova ili ptica kao i u plodovima mora kojima se hrane ljudi.

Europska unija postigla je dogovor o zabrani korištenja plastike za jednokratnu upotrebu poput plastičnih tanjura ili slamki, objavilo je u srijedu rano ujutro austrijsko predsjedništvo.
