Britanski premijer David Cameron priznao je u četvrtak navečer da je do 2010. posjedovao udjele u fiducijarnom fondu svog oca registriranom na Bahamima, nakon višednevnog pritiska nakon otkrića "Panamskih dokumenata".

Cameron je za mrežu ITV rekao da je te udjele prodao 2010. za oko 37.000 eura, nekoliko mjeseci prije nego je izabran za premijera.

Na meti napada se našao kada se otkrilo da je njegov otac Ian Cameron, koji je umro 2010., upravljao tim fondom od kojega je dobit trideset godina skrivao od britanskih poreznika zahvaljujući zamršenom financijskom poslovanju uz posredovanje panamskog odvjetničkog ureda Mossack Fonseca.

Downing Street je izdao zaredom četiri priopćenja u kojima je isticao da je riječ o "privatnoj stvari" a sam je Cameron u utorak izjavio da ne posjeduje "nikakve udjele, nikakav offshore trust, nikakav offshore fond ni išta slično".

U četvrtak je opetovao da ne posjeduje "nikakve udjele", ali je prvi put priznao da je ranije posjedovao udjele u očevu fondu.

"Samantha (supruga) i ja posjedovali smo 5000 dionica u Blairmore Investment Trustu koje smo u siječnju 2010. prodali za oko 30.000 funta", prije nego je postao premijer, rekao je na ITV-u.

Cameron je istaknuo da je na prinos platio porez u Velikoj Britaniji te da u njegovu postupku nije bilo nezakonitosti.

"Iskreno, nemam što kriti. Ponosan sam na oca i ono što je napravio, na tvrtku koju je osnovao i sve ostalo. Ne mogu trpjeti da se njegovo ime vuče po blatu", dodao je.

"Imam dvije kuće, od kojih jednu iznajmljujem i premijersku plaću. Nemam dionice ni investicije, imam nešto ušteđevine", rekao je premijer.

Kako piše The Guardian, član Međunarodnog konzorcija istraživačkih novinara (ICIJ) koji je u posjedu takozvanih Panamskih dokumenata, fond Iana Camerona je zapošljavao pedesetak ljudi na Bahamima koji su potpisivali dokumente te obavljali blagajničke i tajničke poslove i takvo poslovanje nije bilo nezakonito.

Britanski premijer David Cameron priznao je u četvrtak navečer da je do 2010. posjedovao udjele u fiducijarnom fondu svog oca registriranom na Bahamima, nakon višednevnog pritiska nakon otkrića "Panamskih dokumenata".

Cameron je za mrežu ITV rekao da je te udjele prodao 2010. za oko 37.000 eura, nekoliko mjeseci prije nego je izabran za premijera.

Na meti napada se našao kada se otkrilo da je njegov otac Ian Cameron, koji je umro 2010., upravljao tim fondom od kojega je dobit trideset godina skrivao od britanskih poreznika zahvaljujući zamršenom financijskom poslovanju uz posredovanje panamskog odvjetničkog ureda Mossack Fonseca.

Downing Street je izdao zaredom četiri priopćenja u kojima je isticao da je riječ o "privatnoj stvari" a sam je Cameron u utorak izjavio da ne posjeduje "nikakve udjele, nikakav offshore trust, nikakav offshore fond ni išta slično".

U četvrtak je opetovao da ne posjeduje "nikakve udjele", ali je prvi put priznao da je ranije posjedovao udjele u očevu fondu.

"Samantha (supruga) i ja posjedovali smo 5000 dionica u Blairmore Investment Trustu koje smo u siječnju 2010. prodali za oko 30.000 funta", prije nego je postao premijer, rekao je na ITV-u.

Cameron je istaknuo da je na prinos platio porez u Velikoj Britaniji te da u njegovu postupku nije bilo nezakonitosti.

"Iskreno, nemam što kriti. Ponosan sam na oca i ono što je napravio, na tvrtku koju je osnovao i sve ostalo. Ne mogu trpjeti da se njegovo ime vuče po blatu", dodao je.

"Imam dvije kuće, od kojih jednu iznajmljujem i premijersku plaću. Nemam dionice ni investicije, imam nešto ušteđevine", rekao je premijer.

Kako piše The Guardian, član Međunarodnog konzorcija istraživačkih novinara (ICIJ) koji je u posjedu takozvanih Panamskih dokumenata, fond Iana Camerona je zapošljavao pedesetak ljudi na Bahamima koji su potpisivali dokumente te obavljali blagajničke i tajničke poslove i takvo poslovanje nije bilo nezakonito.
