U čak 75 gradova iz 25 zemalja, od Barcelone do Limassola i od Osla do Porta, analizirani su dnevni uzorci otpadnih voda u slivnim područjima postrojenja za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda tijekom jednotjednog razdoblja između ožujka i svibnja 2021. Otpadne vode oko 45 milijuna ljudi analizirane su na tragove četiri ilegalna stimulansa - kokain, amfetamin, metamfetamin i MDMA/ecstasy te kanabis, javlja Dnevnik.hr.
Riječ je o najvećem europskom znanstvenom projektu analize otpadnih voda, koju od 2011. provodi europska mreža SCORE (Sewage analysis CORe group — Europe SCORE), nastala s ciljem izrade standardiziranih pristupa analizi otpadnih voda te koordinacije međunarodnih istraživanja kroz izradu zajedničkog protokola djelovanja, a u suradnji s Europskim centrom za praćenje droga i ovisnosti o drogama (EMCDDA).

Ovi novi podaci pokazali su da se koristi više četiri od pet ispitivanih droga te da se smanjila uporaba samo MDMA.
U gradovima zapadne i južne Europe kokain je i dalje najzastupljeniji, a sve se više može pronaći i u istočnoj Europi. Metamfetamin je povijesno bio koncentriran u Češkoj i Slovačkoj, a danas je prisutan diljem kontinenta.
- Rezultati nam pružaju vrijednu sliku uporabe droga u 75 gradova, nudeći vrijedne uvide u nove trendove. On pokazuju i porast i širenje većine ispitivanih supstanci, odražavajući problem droga koji je sveprisutan i složen. Tijekom proteklog desetljeća analiza otpadnih voda napredovala je od eksperimentalne tehnike do afirmiranog alata za praćenje uporabe ilegalnih droga u Europi. Ova najnovija studija istražuje budući potencijal istraživanja otpadnih voda, od identifikacije novih psihoaktivnih tvari i evaluacije intervencija do definiranja ciljeva za javnozdravstvene programe i povećanja spremnosti i odgovora'', istaknuo je Alexis Goosdeel, direktor EMCDDA-a.
Ključni rezultati 2021.
KOKAIN
Koncentracija metabolita kokaina u otpadnim vodama ostala je najveća u gradovima zapadne i južne Europe - osobito u Belgiji, Nizozemskoj i Španjolskoj, ali tragovi su pronađeni i u većini istočnoeuropskih gradova, u kojima je uočen određeni porast.
Sveukupno, u 2021. više od polovice gradova zabilježilo je povećanje koncentracije metabolita kokaina u usporedbi s podacima iz 2020. (32 od 58 gradova s podacima za obje godine).
Recentni europski projekt o otpadnim vodama (EUSEME) također je pronašao metabolite crack kokaina u svih 13 ispitivanih europskih gradova, s najvećim opterećenjem u Amsterdamu i Antwerpenu.
Zagreb je 11. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji kokaina - 548,62 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.
METAMFETAMIN
Tradicionalno koncentriran u Češkoj i Slovačkoj, sad prisutan i u Belgiji, Cipru, istočnoj Njemačkoj, Španjolskoj i Turskoj te nekoliko sjevernoeuropskih zemalja poput Danske, Litve, Finske, Norveške.
Od 58 gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020., oko polovica (27) je prijavila povećanje koncentracije metabolita. No valja reći da su, za razliku od ostala tri stimulansa, koncentracije metabolita bile vrlo niske do zanemarive na većini lokacija.
AMFETAMIN
Razina koncentracije metabolita amfetamina i dalje je varirala po gradovima, s najvećim opterećenjem prijavljenim u gradovima na sjeveru i istoku Europe - Švedska, Belgija, Nizozemska i Finska, a znatno nižim razinama u gradovima na jugu.
Međutim, od gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020., više od polovice (28 od 55) prijavilo je povećanje koncentracije metabolita.
Zagreb je 12. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji amfetamina - 151,41 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.
KANABIS
Najveće količine metabolita kanabisa (THC-COOH) pronađene su u gradovima zapadne i južne Europe, osobito u Hrvatskoj, Češkoj, Španjolskoj, Nizozemskoj, Sloveniji i Portugalu.
Čini se da su ograničenja zbog bolesti COVID-19 manje utjecala na uporabu nego kod drugih droga. U 2021. gotovo polovica gradova koji su analizirali metabolite kanabisa (13 od 31) prijavila je povećanje količine kanabisa.
Zagreb je 4. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji kanabisa - 132,9 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.

MDMA
Ovo je bila jedina droga čiji su metaboliti manji u većini proučavanih gradova. Gotovo dvije trećine gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020. (38 od 58) prijavilo je smanjenje opterećenja u 2021., vjerojatno zbog zatvaranja mjesta za noćni život tijekom pandemije bolesti COVID-19, na kojima se ova droga često konzumira.
Najveće količine MDMA-a pronađene su u gradovima u Belgiji, Njemačkoj, Nizozemskoj, Švedskoj i Norveškoj.
Zagreb je 14. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji MDMA-a - 28,26 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.

U čak 75 gradova iz 25 zemalja, od Barcelone do Limassola i od Osla do Porta, analizirani su dnevni uzorci otpadnih voda u slivnim područjima postrojenja za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda tijekom jednotjednog razdoblja između ožujka i svibnja 2021. Otpadne vode oko 45 milijuna ljudi analizirane su na tragove četiri ilegalna stimulansa - kokain, amfetamin, metamfetamin i MDMA/ecstasy te kanabis, javlja Dnevnik.hr.
Riječ je o najvećem europskom znanstvenom projektu analize otpadnih voda, koju od 2011. provodi europska mreža SCORE (Sewage analysis CORe group — Europe SCORE), nastala s ciljem izrade standardiziranih pristupa analizi otpadnih voda te koordinacije međunarodnih istraživanja kroz izradu zajedničkog protokola djelovanja, a u suradnji s Europskim centrom za praćenje droga i ovisnosti o drogama (EMCDDA).

Ovi novi podaci pokazali su da se koristi više četiri od pet ispitivanih droga te da se smanjila uporaba samo MDMA.
U gradovima zapadne i južne Europe kokain je i dalje najzastupljeniji, a sve se više može pronaći i u istočnoj Europi. Metamfetamin je povijesno bio koncentriran u Češkoj i Slovačkoj, a danas je prisutan diljem kontinenta.
- Rezultati nam pružaju vrijednu sliku uporabe droga u 75 gradova, nudeći vrijedne uvide u nove trendove. On pokazuju i porast i širenje većine ispitivanih supstanci, odražavajući problem droga koji je sveprisutan i složen. Tijekom proteklog desetljeća analiza otpadnih voda napredovala je od eksperimentalne tehnike do afirmiranog alata za praćenje uporabe ilegalnih droga u Europi. Ova najnovija studija istražuje budući potencijal istraživanja otpadnih voda, od identifikacije novih psihoaktivnih tvari i evaluacije intervencija do definiranja ciljeva za javnozdravstvene programe i povećanja spremnosti i odgovora'', istaknuo je Alexis Goosdeel, direktor EMCDDA-a.
Ključni rezultati 2021.
KOKAIN
Koncentracija metabolita kokaina u otpadnim vodama ostala je najveća u gradovima zapadne i južne Europe - osobito u Belgiji, Nizozemskoj i Španjolskoj, ali tragovi su pronađeni i u većini istočnoeuropskih gradova, u kojima je uočen određeni porast.
Sveukupno, u 2021. više od polovice gradova zabilježilo je povećanje koncentracije metabolita kokaina u usporedbi s podacima iz 2020. (32 od 58 gradova s podacima za obje godine).
Recentni europski projekt o otpadnim vodama (EUSEME) također je pronašao metabolite crack kokaina u svih 13 ispitivanih europskih gradova, s najvećim opterećenjem u Amsterdamu i Antwerpenu.
Zagreb je 11. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji kokaina - 548,62 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.
METAMFETAMIN
Tradicionalno koncentriran u Češkoj i Slovačkoj, sad prisutan i u Belgiji, Cipru, istočnoj Njemačkoj, Španjolskoj i Turskoj te nekoliko sjevernoeuropskih zemalja poput Danske, Litve, Finske, Norveške.
Od 58 gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020., oko polovica (27) je prijavila povećanje koncentracije metabolita. No valja reći da su, za razliku od ostala tri stimulansa, koncentracije metabolita bile vrlo niske do zanemarive na većini lokacija.
AMFETAMIN
Razina koncentracije metabolita amfetamina i dalje je varirala po gradovima, s najvećim opterećenjem prijavljenim u gradovima na sjeveru i istoku Europe - Švedska, Belgija, Nizozemska i Finska, a znatno nižim razinama u gradovima na jugu.
Međutim, od gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020., više od polovice (28 od 55) prijavilo je povećanje koncentracije metabolita.
Zagreb je 12. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji amfetamina - 151,41 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.
KANABIS
Najveće količine metabolita kanabisa (THC-COOH) pronađene su u gradovima zapadne i južne Europe, osobito u Hrvatskoj, Češkoj, Španjolskoj, Nizozemskoj, Sloveniji i Portugalu.
Čini se da su ograničenja zbog bolesti COVID-19 manje utjecala na uporabu nego kod drugih droga. U 2021. gotovo polovica gradova koji su analizirali metabolite kanabisa (13 od 31) prijavila je povećanje količine kanabisa.
Zagreb je 4. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji kanabisa - 132,9 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.

MDMA
Ovo je bila jedina droga čiji su metaboliti manji u većini proučavanih gradova. Gotovo dvije trećine gradova s podacima za 2021. i 2020. (38 od 58) prijavilo je smanjenje opterećenja u 2021., vjerojatno zbog zatvaranja mjesta za noćni život tijekom pandemije bolesti COVID-19, na kojima se ova droga često konzumira.
Najveće količine MDMA-a pronađene su u gradovima u Belgiji, Njemačkoj, Nizozemskoj, Švedskoj i Norveškoj.
Zagreb je 14. grad u Europi po dnevnoj potrošnji MDMA-a - 28,26 miligrama na 1000 stanovnika.
