“Mi smo nevjernici, mi nećemo ići na Misu za Domovinu, mi ćemo ići na Misu na Božić! Što oni time poručuju? Da nas vjernike preziru i vrijeđaju. To je pokušaj nasilne ateizacije našeg hrvatskog društva, što je nedopustivo. Pa kada bi oni trebali biti na nekoj Misi ako ne kad se njihov narod - kojega oni predstavljaju, a koji je većinom vjernički - moli za Domovinu? Zar je za njih Misa na Božić odlazak na proslavu narodnih običaja?

Ako tako misle, tada ih molimo: nemojte nam dolaziti niti na Božić na Misu, jer za nas su naši blagdani otajstva vjere, a ne narodni običaji! Nikome nije uskraćen pristup u crkvu, ali je za sudjelovanje u liturgiji Crkve potrebna barem želja vjere. Stoga bi već jednom bilo najbolje prestati s tom praksom da nevjernici dolaze u prve redove na Misu, a ne znaju se ni prekrižiti.

Neka dođu u crkvu razgledavati umjetnost, ali izvan liturgije. Sila Boga ne moli, kaže naš narod. Ako se netko smatra velik, pa se ne želi pokloniti većemu, tj. Bogu, taj nema što raditi u crkvi. Samo maleni, potrebni Božjeg Milosrđa, dobrodošli su u crkvu, i grješnici koji se kaju, poput onog carinika, neka ispunjaju Dom Božji. Sve je drugo gluma i nepotrebno!”, rekao je biskup Košić.

“Mi smo nevjernici, mi nećemo ići na Misu za Domovinu, mi ćemo ići na Misu na Božić! Što oni time poručuju? Da nas vjernike preziru i vrijeđaju. To je pokušaj nasilne ateizacije našeg hrvatskog društva, što je nedopustivo. Pa kada bi oni trebali biti na nekoj Misi ako ne kad se njihov narod - kojega oni predstavljaju, a koji je većinom vjernički - moli za Domovinu? Zar je za njih Misa na Božić odlazak na proslavu narodnih običaja?

Ako tako misle, tada ih molimo: nemojte nam dolaziti niti na Božić na Misu, jer za nas su naši blagdani otajstva vjere, a ne narodni običaji! Nikome nije uskraćen pristup u crkvu, ali je za sudjelovanje u liturgiji Crkve potrebna barem želja vjere. Stoga bi već jednom bilo najbolje prestati s tom praksom da nevjernici dolaze u prve redove na Misu, a ne znaju se ni prekrižiti.

Neka dođu u crkvu razgledavati umjetnost, ali izvan liturgije. Sila Boga ne moli, kaže naš narod. Ako se netko smatra velik, pa se ne želi pokloniti većemu, tj. Bogu, taj nema što raditi u crkvi. Samo maleni, potrebni Božjeg Milosrđa, dobrodošli su u crkvu, i grješnici koji se kaju, poput onog carinika, neka ispunjaju Dom Božji. Sve je drugo gluma i nepotrebno!”, rekao je biskup Košić.

Na svetoj misi u povodu proglašenja Marijanskog svetišta Sisačke biskupije u Kloštar Ivaniću, sisački biskup Vlado Košić žestoko je odgovorio premijeru Zoranu Milanoviću (ne izgovarajući njegovo ime), kritizirajući njegovu izjavu da je nevjernik i da neće ići na misu za Domovinu.
