Hrvatska je ostala bez predstavnika u četvrtfinalu Roland Garrosa. Prvi tenisač svijeta, Španjolac Rafael Nadal, bio je preteška prepreka za Ivana Ljubičića, makar je hrvatski rutiner u dobroj formi, Španjolac je slavio sa 7:5, 6:3, 6:3.

Realno, nije imao Nadal većih problema plasirati se u četvrtfinale, no u meč je ipak potrajao, Ljubičić se nije tek tako prepustio te je Nadala zadržao na terenu dva sata i 26 minuta.

Nadal je daleko od svog najboljeg tenisa, dovoljno je pogledati u statističku rubriku neprisiljenih pogrešaka u kojoj kod Nadalovog imena stoji brojka 24! No, Ljubo ih je imao duplo više čime je, zapravo, olakšao posao Španjolcu. Zanimljivo je da je Ljubičić spasio čak 14 od 20 break lopti!

Plasman u osminu finala hrvatskom tenisaču donijet će i napredak od četiri - pet mjesta, trenutno je 37. igrač svijeta.

A Rafaelu Nadalu ostaje nada kako će se na 'svom’ turniru uspjeti spasiti od naleta raspoloženog Novaka Đokovića kojemu su se protivnici počeli i doslovno micati s puta. Naime, Srbin je danas u četvrtfinalu trebao igrati protiv Talijana Fabia Fogninija, no ovaj je zbog ozljede lijeve noge predao meč te je Nole već osigurao mjesto u polufinalu i našao se na samo jednu pobjedu od preuzimanja svjetskog broja jedan.

Ukoliko Đoković uđe u finale 'jedinica’ mu je zajamčena, a idući protivnik, zadnja stepenica na tom putu, bit će mu pobjednik četvrtfinalnog meča između Rogera Federera i Gaela Monfilsa.

Srpski tenisač je nezaustavljiv ove sezone. Doslovno. Do sada je ostvario 41 pobjedu bez poraza u 2011. godini, pobijedi li još jednom uhvatit će rekord najboljeg otvaranja sezone Johna McEnroea iz 1984. Ovaj prolaz bez borbe protiv Fogninija mu se u tom nizu ne računa.

Hrvatska je ostala bez predstavnika u četvrtfinalu Roland Garrosa. Prvi tenisač svijeta, Španjolac Rafael Nadal, bio je preteška prepreka za Ivana Ljubičića, makar je hrvatski rutiner u dobroj formi, Španjolac je slavio sa 7:5, 6:3, 6:3.

Realno, nije imao Nadal većih problema plasirati se u četvrtfinale, no u meč je ipak potrajao, Ljubičić se nije tek tako prepustio te je Nadala zadržao na terenu dva sata i 26 minuta.

Nadal je daleko od svog najboljeg tenisa, dovoljno je pogledati u statističku rubriku neprisiljenih pogrešaka u kojoj kod Nadalovog imena stoji brojka 24! No, Ljubo ih je imao duplo više čime je, zapravo, olakšao posao Španjolcu. Zanimljivo je da je Ljubičić spasio čak 14 od 20 break lopti!

Plasman u osminu finala hrvatskom tenisaču donijet će i napredak od četiri - pet mjesta, trenutno je 37. igrač svijeta.

A Rafaelu Nadalu ostaje nada kako će se na 'svom’ turniru uspjeti spasiti od naleta raspoloženog Novaka Đokovića kojemu su se protivnici počeli i doslovno micati s puta. Naime, Srbin je danas u četvrtfinalu trebao igrati protiv Talijana Fabia Fogninija, no ovaj je zbog ozljede lijeve noge predao meč te je Nole već osigurao mjesto u polufinalu i našao se na samo jednu pobjedu od preuzimanja svjetskog broja jedan.

Ukoliko Đoković uđe u finale 'jedinica’ mu je zajamčena, a idući protivnik, zadnja stepenica na tom putu, bit će mu pobjednik četvrtfinalnog meča između Rogera Federera i Gaela Monfilsa.

Srpski tenisač je nezaustavljiv ove sezone. Doslovno. Do sada je ostvario 41 pobjedu bez poraza u 2011. godini, pobijedi li još jednom uhvatit će rekord najboljeg otvaranja sezone Johna McEnroea iz 1984. Ovaj prolaz bez borbe protiv Fogninija mu se u tom nizu ne računa.
