Legendarni američki tenisač John McEnroe bio je jedan od rijetkih koji je stao u obranu Rusa Danila Medvjedeva i njegovog ponašanja u polufinalu Australian Opena.

Ruski tenisač, koji je pobjedom protiv Grka Tsitsipasa izborio nedjeljni finalni meč protiv Rafaela Nadala, izgubio je kontrolu tijekom polufinalnog susreta. Žestoko i prilično nepristojno je vikao prema glavnom sucu tražeći da ovaj reagira i kazni Tsitsipasa zbog navodnih uputa koje je Grk dobivao iz svoje lože.

Mnogo prašine je podiglo ponašanje Medvjedeva i velika većina je negativno komentirala njegovo ophođenje, ali ne i 62-godišnji McEnroe. Njegove su riječi donekle i shvatljive jer je i sam Amerikanac tijekom karijere tko zna koliko puta reagirao na sličan i mnogo gori način.

„Da, vjerojatno pogrešnu osobu pitate za komentar tog slučaja. No, osobno volim vidjeti emocije kod tenisača. Nekada smo mnoge gluposti na terenu izgovarali Connors i ja, Lendl također. Da, ponašali smo se na takav način, ali zbog toga je sve bilo zanimljivije, zar ne? Ponavljam, meni se to sviđa“, rekao je McEnroe, koji je tijekom veličanstvene karijere osvojio sedam pojedinačnih Grand Slam naslova, ali i devet u konkurenciji parova.

Legendarni američki tenisač John McEnroe bio je jedan od rijetkih koji je stao u obranu Rusa Danila Medvjedeva i njegovog ponašanja u polufinalu Australian Opena.

Ruski tenisač, koji je pobjedom protiv Grka Tsitsipasa izborio nedjeljni finalni meč protiv Rafaela Nadala, izgubio je kontrolu tijekom polufinalnog susreta. Žestoko i prilično nepristojno je vikao prema glavnom sucu tražeći da ovaj reagira i kazni Tsitsipasa zbog navodnih uputa koje je Grk dobivao iz svoje lože.

Mnogo prašine je podiglo ponašanje Medvjedeva i velika većina je negativno komentirala njegovo ophođenje, ali ne i 62-godišnji McEnroe. Njegove su riječi donekle i shvatljive jer je i sam Amerikanac tijekom karijere tko zna koliko puta reagirao na sličan i mnogo gori način.

„Da, vjerojatno pogrešnu osobu pitate za komentar tog slučaja. No, osobno volim vidjeti emocije kod tenisača. Nekada smo mnoge gluposti na terenu izgovarali Connors i ja, Lendl također. Da, ponašali smo se na takav način, ali zbog toga je sve bilo zanimljivije, zar ne? Ponavljam, meni se to sviđa“, rekao je McEnroe, koji je tijekom veličanstvene karijere osvojio sedam pojedinačnih Grand Slam naslova, ali i devet u konkurenciji parova.

Ponašanje Medvjedeva na Australian Openu izazvalo je kontroverze, ali legendarni McEnroe ga brani: ‘Meni se to sviđa‘

Legendarni američki tenisač John McEnroe bio je jedan od rijetkih koji je stao u obranu Rusa Danila Medvjedeva i njegovog ponašanja u polufinalu Australian Opena.

Ruski tenisač, koji je pobjedom protiv Grka Tsitsipasa izborio nedjeljni finalni meč protiv Rafaela Nadala, izgubio je kontrolu tijekom polufinalnog susreta. Žestoko i prilično nepristojno je vikao prema glavnom sucu tražeći da ovaj reagira i kazni Tsitsipasa zbog navodnih uputa koje je Grk dobivao iz svoje lože.

Mnogo prašine je podiglo ponašanje Medvjedeva i velika većina je negativno komentirala njegovo ophođenje, ali ne i 62-godišnji McEnroe. Njegove su riječi donekle i shvatljive jer je i sam Amerikanac tijekom karijere tko zna koliko puta reagirao na sličan i mnogo gori način.
