Mate Pavić odradio je svoj prvi reprezentativni zadatak u Davis Cupu. Poraz od Italije, doduše, ovaj splitski talentirani tenisač neće pamtiti po dobrome, u dramatičnoj smo završnici izgubili 3:2, no iskustvo sudjelovanja na takvom događaju visoke razine je neprocjenjivo.
U svojoj je generaciji Pavić uvijek bio predvodnik u Hrvatskoj, najbolji na listi juniora, a i sada je najbolji od svojeg godišta, igrača rođenih 1993. godine ili kasnije, trenutno 367. na ATP listi s pomakom od oko 500 mjesta u 2012. Ove godine, očekuje se kako će doći negdje do 150. Bila bi to dobra podloga za daljnji ulazak u top 100, pa i bliže vrhu.
Kada ga je izbornik Željko Krajan pozvao u reprezentaciju za dvoboj s Italijom bila je to potvrda kako se njegov napredak prati i cijeni. Od strane ljudi koji poznaju tenis, trenerske struke. No, prema riječima Matinog oca Jakova od strane jednog čovjeka u Hrvatskom teniskom saveza nailazi na stalne opstrukcije.
- Riječ je o Davorinu Prpiću (predsjednik Stručne komisije HTS-a, nap. a.) koji stalno proizvoljno tumači odluke Upravnog odbora. Kad je riječ o Prpiću, uvijek nešto zapinje - kazao nam je Jakov Pavić.
Konkretno, radi se o financiranju programa za 2012. godinu kojeg je Matin otac predložio HTS-u, a prema njegovim riječima nije ispunjen na način kako je to odlučeno.
- Igrači Matinog ranga i njegovih godina u drugim državama imaju od matičnih saveza od 30 do 50 tisuća eura godišnje potpore. No, Mati je za 2012. isprva bilo predviđeno tek 20.000 kuna. Zar je to dovoljno za razvoj igrača u Matinim godinama koji je, evo, i naš reprezentativac? Kada sam razgovarao s ljudima u Savezu tražili su da im pošaljem program za 2012. i to sam napravio, a u listopadu mi je Upravni odbor potvrdio program i odobrio za 2012.godinu ipak 100.000 kuna - priča nam tata Pavić.
I, što je, onda, problem?
- Problem je što kad je ta odluka došla na stol Davorina Prpića on ju je samovoljno protumačio kako se tu radi o novcu za iduće razdoblje te kako u ratama Mate može dobiti novac za dva mjeseca u 2012. i ostatak kroz deset mjeseci u 2013. godini. Što nema veze s onim što je Upravni odbor odlučio jer se radi o programu za 2012. godinu! Problem je Mate imao i kada je na izlazu iz juniorskog staža tražio da mu se ono što mu po pravilnicima pripada za odlazak na juniorski US Open prebaci za dva futuresa. To je prvo odobreno, a onda Prpić nije želio isplatiti sredstva te je na koncu Mate, da barem tako uzme što mu pripada, mimo plana otišao i igrao juniorski US Open.
Stariji Pavić nada se kako će na predstojećem Upravnom odboru ta točka dobiti zaključak u njihovu korist. Pavić u ovoj godini navršava 20 godina, u iznimno je osjetljivom periodu kada se mora afirmirati u profesionalnom tenisu i svaka je pomoć prijeko potrebna. Nada se kako će domaći Savez barem biti u stanju ispoštovati ono što je sam i odlučio. Bez naknadnog 'slobodnog tumačenja' odluka.

Mate Pavić odradio je svoj prvi reprezentativni zadatak u Davis Cupu. Poraz od Italije, doduše, ovaj splitski talentirani tenisač neće pamtiti po dobrome, u dramatičnoj smo završnici izgubili 3:2, no iskustvo sudjelovanja na takvom događaju visoke razine je neprocjenjivo.
U svojoj je generaciji Pavić uvijek bio predvodnik u Hrvatskoj, najbolji na listi juniora, a i sada je najbolji od svojeg godišta, igrača rođenih 1993. godine ili kasnije, trenutno 367. na ATP listi s pomakom od oko 500 mjesta u 2012. Ove godine, očekuje se kako će doći negdje do 150. Bila bi to dobra podloga za daljnji ulazak u top 100, pa i bliže vrhu.
Kada ga je izbornik Željko Krajan pozvao u reprezentaciju za dvoboj s Italijom bila je to potvrda kako se njegov napredak prati i cijeni. Od strane ljudi koji poznaju tenis, trenerske struke. No, prema riječima Matinog oca Jakova od strane jednog čovjeka u Hrvatskom teniskom saveza nailazi na stalne opstrukcije.
- Riječ je o Davorinu Prpiću (predsjednik Stručne komisije HTS-a, nap. a.) koji stalno proizvoljno tumači odluke Upravnog odbora. Kad je riječ o Prpiću, uvijek nešto zapinje - kazao nam je Jakov Pavić.
Konkretno, radi se o financiranju programa za 2012. godinu kojeg je Matin otac predložio HTS-u, a prema njegovim riječima nije ispunjen na način kako je to odlučeno.
- Igrači Matinog ranga i njegovih godina u drugim državama imaju od matičnih saveza od 30 do 50 tisuća eura godišnje potpore. No, Mati je za 2012. isprva bilo predviđeno tek 20.000 kuna. Zar je to dovoljno za razvoj igrača u Matinim godinama koji je, evo, i naš reprezentativac? Kada sam razgovarao s ljudima u Savezu tražili su da im pošaljem program za 2012. i to sam napravio, a u listopadu mi je Upravni odbor potvrdio program i odobrio za 2012.godinu ipak 100.000 kuna - priča nam tata Pavić.
I, što je, onda, problem?
- Problem je što kad je ta odluka došla na stol Davorina Prpića on ju je samovoljno protumačio kako se tu radi o novcu za iduće razdoblje te kako u ratama Mate može dobiti novac za dva mjeseca u 2012. i ostatak kroz deset mjeseci u 2013. godini. Što nema veze s onim što je Upravni odbor odlučio jer se radi o programu za 2012. godinu! Problem je Mate imao i kada je na izlazu iz juniorskog staža tražio da mu se ono što mu po pravilnicima pripada za odlazak na juniorski US Open prebaci za dva futuresa. To je prvo odobreno, a onda Prpić nije želio isplatiti sredstva te je na koncu Mate, da barem tako uzme što mu pripada, mimo plana otišao i igrao juniorski US Open.
Stariji Pavić nada se kako će na predstojećem Upravnom odboru ta točka dobiti zaključak u njihovu korist. Pavić u ovoj godini navršava 20 godina, u iznimno je osjetljivom periodu kada se mora afirmirati u profesionalnom tenisu i svaka je pomoć prijeko potrebna. Nada se kako će domaći Savez barem biti u stanju ispoštovati ono što je sam i odlučio. Bez naknadnog 'slobodnog tumačenja' odluka.
