No, opasno je bilo vidjeti Karlovića tijekom četvrtog gema u meču kada je više od pola minute nepomično stajao i činilo se kako bi se svakog trenutka mogao srušiti na travu. Karloviću je u pomoć priskočio liječnik, te je unatoč svemu Hrvatski tenisač nastavio meč, a kasnije je tijekom dana odigrao čak i maratonski ogled parova.

Sve je, dakako, po Karlovića izgledalo još opasnije s obzirom na preboljeni virusni meningitis, zbog kojega tenis nije igrao tri mjeseca.

- Imao sam vrtoglavicu i teško mi je bilo fokusirati se na igru. Bio sam zabrinut s obzirom na sve što sam nedavno prošao. Nisam znao je li ima veze s virusom ili s nečim drugim - rekao je nakon meča Karlović i dodao:

- Srećom, sve je u redu. Bio sam, očigledno, samo prilično umoran jer nisam naviknut na ovakav broj mečeva u kratkom razdoblju. Potpuno sam sretan što sam uopće dogurao do četvrtfinala. I ranije sam govorio da ovdje nisam trebao niti biti, svaka pobjeda je bila veliki bonus. Da mi je netko rekao kako ću ovdje igrati četvrtfinale rekao bih da je potpuno lud - završio je 34-godišnji Hrvatski tenisač.

No, opasno je bilo vidjeti Karlovića tijekom četvrtog gema u meču kada je više od pola minute nepomično stajao i činilo se kako bi se svakog trenutka mogao srušiti na travu. Karloviću je u pomoć priskočio liječnik, te je unatoč svemu Hrvatski tenisač nastavio meč, a kasnije je tijekom dana odigrao čak i maratonski ogled parova.

Sve je, dakako, po Karlovića izgledalo još opasnije s obzirom na preboljeni virusni meningitis, zbog kojega tenis nije igrao tri mjeseca.

- Imao sam vrtoglavicu i teško mi je bilo fokusirati se na igru. Bio sam zabrinut s obzirom na sve što sam nedavno prošao. Nisam znao je li ima veze s virusom ili s nečim drugim - rekao je nakon meča Karlović i dodao:

- Srećom, sve je u redu. Bio sam, očigledno, samo prilično umoran jer nisam naviknut na ovakav broj mečeva u kratkom razdoblju. Potpuno sam sretan što sam uopće dogurao do četvrtfinala. I ranije sam govorio da ovdje nisam trebao niti biti, svaka pobjeda je bila veliki bonus. Da mi je netko rekao kako ću ovdje igrati četvrtfinale rekao bih da je potpuno lud - završio je 34-godišnji Hrvatski tenisač.
