Danski tenisač Holger Rune, šesti igrač s aktualne ATP ljestvice te finalist prošlotjednog ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Rimu, ponovno će igrati na zemljanom ATP turniru u Umagu.

Mladi 20-godišnji danski tenisač tako će dodatno pojačati ionako već atraktivan sastav ovogodišnjeg turnira Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag. Prije njega, dolazak u Stella Maris potvrdili su hrvatski tenisač Marin Čilić, Švicarac Stan Wawrinka i Austrijanac Dominic Thiem, redom osvajači pojedinačnih naslova na Grand Slam turnirima.

Rune je upravo ovog tjedna došao do najboljeg plasmana u karijeri na pojedinačnoj ATP ljestvici, netom nakon što je igrao u finalu turnira u Rimu, gdje je, među ostalima, svladao Novaka Đokovića i Caspera Ruuda. Nešto ranije ove godine Rune je igrao i u finalu turnira u Monte Carlu, a nešto kasnije je osvojio naslov u Muenchenu.

Ovogodišnji Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag održat će se od 21. do 30. srpnja i bit će to 33. izdanje najstarijeg ATP turnira u Hrvatskoj.

„Rune je dosad dva puta igrao u Umagu. Prvi put prije dvije godine, kada je u glavni turnir ušao zahvaljujući pozivnici, bio je 204. na ATP ljestvici  te drugi put prošle sezone. Još uvijek je bez pobjede, jer je u oba navrata gubio na startu, porazima u tri seta. Vjerujemo da će za njega treća godina u Umagu biti i sretna te da će uz podršku umaške publike doći do svoje prve pobjede“, istaknuo je Dragan Pujas, predsjednik Uprave Plave Lagune te predsjednik organizacijskog turnira.

„Nakon tri osvajača Grand Slam turnira, veliko nam je zadovoljstvo najaviti i nastup igrača koji ima mnogo razloga nadati se da će i sam to postati u bliskoj budućnosti. Holger Rune dolazi treću godinu u nizu nakon što smo mu 2021., dok je još bio izvan društva najboljih 200 igrača svijeta, uručili pozivnicu za glavni turnir. Danas je član Top 10 društva, osvajač Masters 1000 turnira i jedna od najvećih mladih zvijezda na Touru. Uz izuzetne rezultate, ima i izrazito snažan, pomalo zapaljiv karakter, zbog kojeg ga je uvijek zanimljivo gledati“, rekao je direktor turnira Tomislav Poljak.

Danski tenisač Holger Rune, šesti igrač s aktualne ATP ljestvice te finalist prošlotjednog ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Rimu, ponovno će igrati na zemljanom ATP turniru u Umagu.

Mladi 20-godišnji danski tenisač tako će dodatno pojačati ionako već atraktivan sastav ovogodišnjeg turnira Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag. Prije njega, dolazak u Stella Maris potvrdili su hrvatski tenisač Marin Čilić, Švicarac Stan Wawrinka i Austrijanac Dominic Thiem, redom osvajači pojedinačnih naslova na Grand Slam turnirima.

Rune je upravo ovog tjedna došao do najboljeg plasmana u karijeri na pojedinačnoj ATP ljestvici, netom nakon što je igrao u finalu turnira u Rimu, gdje je, među ostalima, svladao Novaka Đokovića i Caspera Ruuda. Nešto ranije ove godine Rune je igrao i u finalu turnira u Monte Carlu, a nešto kasnije je osvojio naslov u Muenchenu.

Ovogodišnji Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag održat će se od 21. do 30. srpnja i bit će to 33. izdanje najstarijeg ATP turnira u Hrvatskoj.

„Rune je dosad dva puta igrao u Umagu. Prvi put prije dvije godine, kada je u glavni turnir ušao zahvaljujući pozivnici, bio je 204. na ATP ljestvici  te drugi put prošle sezone. Još uvijek je bez pobjede, jer je u oba navrata gubio na startu, porazima u tri seta. Vjerujemo da će za njega treća godina u Umagu biti i sretna te da će uz podršku umaške publike doći do svoje prve pobjede“, istaknuo je Dragan Pujas, predsjednik Uprave Plave Lagune te predsjednik organizacijskog turnira.

„Nakon tri osvajača Grand Slam turnira, veliko nam je zadovoljstvo najaviti i nastup igrača koji ima mnogo razloga nadati se da će i sam to postati u bliskoj budućnosti. Holger Rune dolazi treću godinu u nizu nakon što smo mu 2021., dok je još bio izvan društva najboljih 200 igrača svijeta, uručili pozivnicu za glavni turnir. Danas je član Top 10 društva, osvajač Masters 1000 turnira i jedna od najvećih mladih zvijezda na Touru. Uz izuzetne rezultate, ima i izrazito snažan, pomalo zapaljiv karakter, zbog kojeg ga je uvijek zanimljivo gledati“, rekao je direktor turnira Tomislav Poljak.

Jedan od najboljih tenisača svijeta stiže na ATP turnir u Umagu

Danski tenisač Holger Rune, šesti igrač s aktualne ATP ljestvice te finalist prošlotjednog ATP Masters 1000 turnira u Rimu, ponovno će igrati na zemljanom ATP turniru u Umagu.

Mladi 20-godišnji danski tenisač tako će dodatno pojačati ionako već atraktivan sastav ovogodišnjeg turnira Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag. Prije njega, dolazak u Stella Maris potvrdili su hrvatski tenisač Marin Čilić, Švicarac Stan Wawrinka i Austrijanac Dominic Thiem, redom osvajači pojedinačnih naslova na Grand Slam turnirima.

Rune je upravo ovog tjedna došao do najboljeg plasmana u karijeri na pojedinačnoj ATP ljestvici, netom nakon što je igrao u finalu turnira u Rimu, gdje je, među ostalima, svladao Novaka Đokovića i Caspera Ruuda. Nešto ranije ove godine Rune je igrao i u finalu turnira u Monte Carlu, a nešto kasnije je osvojio naslov u Muenchenu.

Ovogodišnji Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag održat će se od 21. do 30. srpnja i bit će to 33. izdanje najstarijeg ATP turnira u Hrvatskoj.

„Rune je dosad dva puta igrao u Umagu. Prvi put prije dvije godine, kada je u glavni turnir ušao zahvaljujući pozivnici, bio je 204. na ATP ljestvici  te drugi put prošle sezone. Još uvijek je bez pobjede, jer je u oba navrata gubio na startu, porazima u tri seta. Vjerujemo da će za njega treća godina u Umagu biti i sretna te da će uz podršku umaške publike doći do svoje prve pobjede“, istaknuo je Dragan Pujas, predsjednik Uprave Plave Lagune te predsjednik organizacijskog turnira.

„Nakon tri osvajača Grand Slam turnira, veliko nam je zadovoljstvo najaviti i nastup igrača koji ima mnogo razloga nadati se da će i sam to postati u bliskoj budućnosti. Holger Rune dolazi treću godinu u nizu nakon što smo mu 2021., dok je još bio izvan društva najboljih 200 igrača svijeta, uručili pozivnicu za glavni turnir. Danas je član Top 10 društva, osvajač Masters 1000 turnira i jedna od najvećih mladih zvijezda na Touru. Uz izuzetne rezultate, ima i izrazito snažan, pomalo zapaljiv karakter, zbog kojeg ga je uvijek zanimljivo gledati“, rekao je direktor turnira Tomislav Poljak.
