Prije dvadesetak dana trener Rijeke Željko Sopić spominjao se u kontekstu škotskog Aberdeena. Tada se trener lidera SuperSport HNL-a u medijima navodio kao potencijalni budući čovjek na klupi tog otočkog sastava kojeg je svojevremeno, i to vrlo uspješno, trenirao i slavni sir Alex Ferguson.

- Tamo stalno pada kiša, a to nije dobro za moju frizuru - navodno je tada između ostalog ispalio Sopić.

Trener kluba s Rujevice je lak na jeziku, zahvalan za sedmu silu. Kasnije je objašnjavao kako to zapravo baš i nije rekao.

- Ma ne, nisam ja to uopće rekao. To sam rekao kolegi poslije utakmice. Nemam baš nikakav interes, znači nula posto šansi za Aberdeen. To su medijska nagađanja. Tko je rekao? Zeko je rekao. Nitko nije kontaktirao mene ni Rijeku. Zašto ne Manchester City, zašto Aberdeen? Koja je razlika? Tak i tak se pišu gluposti, onda se može pisati nešto bolje. Fokus mi je na Rijeci i, uz dužno poštovanje Aberdeenu, da dođe deset puta bolji klub, ostao bih trenutno ovdje - govorio je tada Sopić.

A škotski klub objavio je danas ime svog novog trenera. To je švedski stručnjak Jimmy Thelin (46) koji je dosad vodio Elfsborg. Dvaput je bio viceprvak Švedske s Elfsborgom, a titula je prošle sezone izgubljena zbog slabije gol razlike u odnosu na Malmo. Thelinu vrijeme ne smeta zbog frizure. Šveđanin će momčad preuzeti u lipnju, dotad će na klupi sjediti v.d. trenera Peter Leven.

Prije dvadesetak dana trener Rijeke Željko Sopić spominjao se u kontekstu škotskog Aberdeena. Tada se trener lidera SuperSport HNL-a u medijima navodio kao potencijalni budući čovjek na klupi tog otočkog sastava kojeg je svojevremeno, i to vrlo uspješno, trenirao i slavni sir Alex Ferguson.

- Tamo stalno pada kiša, a to nije dobro za moju frizuru - navodno je tada između ostalog ispalio Sopić.

Trener kluba s Rujevice je lak na jeziku, zahvalan za sedmu silu. Kasnije je objašnjavao kako to zapravo baš i nije rekao.

- Ma ne, nisam ja to uopće rekao. To sam rekao kolegi poslije utakmice. Nemam baš nikakav interes, znači nula posto šansi za Aberdeen. To su medijska nagađanja. Tko je rekao? Zeko je rekao. Nitko nije kontaktirao mene ni Rijeku. Zašto ne Manchester City, zašto Aberdeen? Koja je razlika? Tak i tak se pišu gluposti, onda se može pisati nešto bolje. Fokus mi je na Rijeci i, uz dužno poštovanje Aberdeenu, da dođe deset puta bolji klub, ostao bih trenutno ovdje - govorio je tada Sopić.

A škotski klub objavio je danas ime svog novog trenera. To je švedski stručnjak Jimmy Thelin (46) koji je dosad vodio Elfsborg. Dvaput je bio viceprvak Švedske s Elfsborgom, a titula je prošle sezone izgubljena zbog slabije gol razlike u odnosu na Malmo. Thelinu vrijeme ne smeta zbog frizure. Šveđanin će momčad preuzeti u lipnju, dotad će na klupi sjediti v.d. trenera Peter Leven.
