PSG je sinoć u zadnjih pola sata utakmice prosuo ukupno vodstvo od 2:0 i već u ožujku ostao osuđen na igranje samo domaćeg prvenstva, koje su već odavno praktički osvojili.

Ovo je već četvrto PSG-ovo ispadanje u osmini finala Lige prvaka otkad ih je 2011. preuzeo Oryx Qatar Sports Investments, dok su isto toliko puta zapinjali u četvrtfinalu. Parižani su jedino uspjeli izboriti finale u onom pandemijskom izdanju knockout faze Lige prvaka 2020., dok su prošle godine stigli do polufinala, u kojem su s ukupnih 4:1 poraženi od Manchester Cityja.

Nije tajna da je „uhati“ trofej opsesija katarskog emira Tamima bin Hamad Al Thanija i njegovog namjesnika Nassera Al-Khelaifija, jer im momčadi iz Ligue 1 jednostavno nisu dorasle, zbog čega njihove domaće naslove većina zapravo i ne uzima zaozbiljno. Doduše, ta konstatacija zvuči pretjerano ako znamo da je aktualni francuski prvak Lille, da je u sezoni 2016./17. naslov uzeo Monaco te da je one prve „katarske“ sezone trofej otišao u ruke Montpelliera predvođenog Olivierom Giroudom, ali navedene iznimke zapravo najbolje govore o tome koliko je PSG promašeni nogometni projekt.

Pariški klub prema Transfermarktu vrijedi 910 milijuna eura i ispred njega je samo Manchester City s ekipom vrijednom 991 milijun eura. Jedanaestorki PSG-a koja je započela sinoćnji susret s Real Madridom neki bi vjerojatno unaprijed dali trofej namijenjen osvajaču Lige prvaka, dok bi većina trenera bila oduševljena da u svojoj ekipi ima samo igrače koji su susret s Realom započeli s klupe. Ionako impresivna pariška momčad prošlog je ljeta dobila najveće moguće pojačanje u vidu Lionela Messija, čime je oformljen napadački trojac koji još uvijek djeluje nadrealno.

No, bez obzira na to, PSG u pravilu ne izgleda kao momčad, a praktički jedino što je Mauricio Pochettino uspio postići otkad je sjeo na klupu Parižana jest to da mu sedmorica igrača ponekad uspiju odigrati dovoljno disciplinirano u fazi obrane i osvojiti loptu za prednju trojicu koji su u fazi obrane u pravilu poluaktivni i onda kroz ofenzivnu tranziciju ili na račun individualne kvalitete stvaraju šanse. Ukratko, Messi, Kylian Mbappé i Neymar gotovo bez iznimke igraju drugačiju utakmicu od one koju ostatak ekipe igra.

Počevši s postavljanjem Leonarda na poziciju sportskog direktora i dovođenjem prvog kapitalca u vidu Javiera Pastorea, koji je u ljeto 2011. stigao iz Palerma za 45 milijuna eura, katarski režim je „utukao“ u klub milijarde, a najveći dio je otpao na Neymara koji je 2017. doveden za još uvijek nadrealnih 222 milijuna eura.

No, u nogometnom smislu sve je to bilo uzalud, jer PSG do danas nije uspio doći do vrha Europe, dok se sedam domaćih naslova (plus osmi koji stiže ovog ljeta) mogu promatrati više kao neuspjeh kada se sve stavi u kontekst, nego uspjeh.

Važno je naglasiti da je PSG promašeni projekt u čisto nogometnom smislu, jer je on katarskoj vladajućoj obitelji itekako dobro poslužio kao poligon za ulaz na francusko tržište i „sportswashing“. Uostalom, ovogodišnje Svjetsko prvenstvo će se održati u toj maloj, ali moćnoj bliskoistočnoj državi, što najbolje govori o tome koliko je PSG Kataru važno "oružje".

Ne treba zaboraviti ni to da je Al-Khelaifi za vrijeme drame vezane za osnivanje Superlige ostao vjeran UEFA-i i nametnuo se kao najmoćniji saveznik Aleksandera Čeferina, što je onda rezultiralo njegovim dolaskom na čelo ECA-e (Europskog udruženja profesionalnih klubova), gdje je zamijenio „izdajnika“ Andreu Agnellija, i mjestom u Izvršnom odboru UEFA-e.

Ukratko, PSG se za katarske vladare pokazao uspješnim projektom u svim aspektima osim onom najvažnijem – nogometnom.

PSG je momčad prepuna bolesno preplaćenih superzvijezda koji igraju privatne utakmice i međusobno se sukobljavaju nakon svakog lošeg rezultata, kojih je u posljednje vrijeme sve više. Pochettino u svemu tome izgleda kao čovjek čiji je posao samo izabrati najutjecajniju jedanaestorku i nadati se da će mu momčad uspjeti pobijediti, jer njegov trenerski potpis koji je Tottenham barem nakratko uveo među samu europsku elitu uopće se ne može vidjeti, a to ide toliko daleko da mnogi sada počinju sumnjati u Argentinčeve sposobnosti. Ipak, mora se uzeti u obzir i to da su mnogi tako sumnjali i u sposobnosti Thomasa Tuchela dok je sjedio na klupi Parižana, a Nijemac je nakon toga odveo Chelsea do naslova europskog prvaka.

Nogomet je puno kompleksniji od samog prekrcavanja kadra najboljim igračima na svijetu i očekivanja da će ti momčad pobjeđivati zbog same te činjenice, a PSG dokaz toga može osjetiti na svojoj koži iz godine u godinu. No, umjesto da promijene pristup, Parižani samo odlaze u sve veće ekstreme, a to ih je ove sezone dovelo do još jednog ispadanja već u osmini finala Lige prvaka.

Kontroverzni Danny Makkelie možda je mogao svirati prekršaj Karima Benzeme na Gianluigiju Donnarummi u 61. minuti sinoćnjeg susreta, jer pogodak francuskog napadača koji je uslijedio u nastavku akcije dao je novu energiju Realu i zapravo inicirao preokret koji je nedugo zatim uslijedio, ali Al-Khelaifiju i Leonardu bi bilo bolje da preispitaju svoju sportsku politiku nego da nakon utakmice pokušavaju provaliti u sudačku svlačionicu kao da je riječ o utakmici druge županijske lige, a ne osmini finala najelitnijeg europskog klupskog natjecanja.

PSG je sinoć u zadnjih pola sata utakmice prosuo ukupno vodstvo od 2:0 i već u ožujku ostao osuđen na igranje samo domaćeg prvenstva, koje su već odavno praktički osvojili.

Ovo je već četvrto PSG-ovo ispadanje u osmini finala Lige prvaka otkad ih je 2011. preuzeo Oryx Qatar Sports Investments, dok su isto toliko puta zapinjali u četvrtfinalu. Parižani su jedino uspjeli izboriti finale u onom pandemijskom izdanju knockout faze Lige prvaka 2020., dok su prošle godine stigli do polufinala, u kojem su s ukupnih 4:1 poraženi od Manchester Cityja.

Nije tajna da je „uhati“ trofej opsesija katarskog emira Tamima bin Hamad Al Thanija i njegovog namjesnika Nassera Al-Khelaifija, jer im momčadi iz Ligue 1 jednostavno nisu dorasle, zbog čega njihove domaće naslove većina zapravo i ne uzima zaozbiljno. Doduše, ta konstatacija zvuči pretjerano ako znamo da je aktualni francuski prvak Lille, da je u sezoni 2016./17. naslov uzeo Monaco te da je one prve „katarske“ sezone trofej otišao u ruke Montpelliera predvođenog Olivierom Giroudom, ali navedene iznimke zapravo najbolje govore o tome koliko je PSG promašeni nogometni projekt.

Pariški klub prema Transfermarktu vrijedi 910 milijuna eura i ispred njega je samo Manchester City s ekipom vrijednom 991 milijun eura. Jedanaestorki PSG-a koja je započela sinoćnji susret s Real Madridom neki bi vjerojatno unaprijed dali trofej namijenjen osvajaču Lige prvaka, dok bi većina trenera bila oduševljena da u svojoj ekipi ima samo igrače koji su susret s Realom započeli s klupe. Ionako impresivna pariška momčad prošlog je ljeta dobila najveće moguće pojačanje u vidu Lionela Messija, čime je oformljen napadački trojac koji još uvijek djeluje nadrealno.

No, bez obzira na to, PSG u pravilu ne izgleda kao momčad, a praktički jedino što je Mauricio Pochettino uspio postići otkad je sjeo na klupu Parižana jest to da mu sedmorica igrača ponekad uspiju odigrati dovoljno disciplinirano u fazi obrane i osvojiti loptu za prednju trojicu koji su u fazi obrane u pravilu poluaktivni i onda kroz ofenzivnu tranziciju ili na račun individualne kvalitete stvaraju šanse. Ukratko, Messi, Kylian Mbappé i Neymar gotovo bez iznimke igraju drugačiju utakmicu od one koju ostatak ekipe igra.

Počevši s postavljanjem Leonarda na poziciju sportskog direktora i dovođenjem prvog kapitalca u vidu Javiera Pastorea, koji je u ljeto 2011. stigao iz Palerma za 45 milijuna eura, katarski režim je „utukao“ u klub milijarde, a najveći dio je otpao na Neymara koji je 2017. doveden za još uvijek nadrealnih 222 milijuna eura.

No, u nogometnom smislu sve je to bilo uzalud, jer PSG do danas nije uspio doći do vrha Europe, dok se sedam domaćih naslova (plus osmi koji stiže ovog ljeta) mogu promatrati više kao neuspjeh kada se sve stavi u kontekst, nego uspjeh.

Važno je naglasiti da je PSG promašeni projekt u čisto nogometnom smislu, jer je on katarskoj vladajućoj obitelji itekako dobro poslužio kao poligon za ulaz na francusko tržište i „sportswashing“. Uostalom, ovogodišnje Svjetsko prvenstvo će se održati u toj maloj, ali moćnoj bliskoistočnoj državi, što najbolje govori o tome koliko je PSG Kataru važno "oružje".

Ne treba zaboraviti ni to da je Al-Khelaifi za vrijeme drame vezane za osnivanje Superlige ostao vjeran UEFA-i i nametnuo se kao najmoćniji saveznik Aleksandera Čeferina, što je onda rezultiralo njegovim dolaskom na čelo ECA-e (Europskog udruženja profesionalnih klubova), gdje je zamijenio „izdajnika“ Andreu Agnellija, i mjestom u Izvršnom odboru UEFA-e.

Ukratko, PSG se za katarske vladare pokazao uspješnim projektom u svim aspektima osim onom najvažnijem – nogometnom.

PSG je momčad prepuna bolesno preplaćenih superzvijezda koji igraju privatne utakmice i međusobno se sukobljavaju nakon svakog lošeg rezultata, kojih je u posljednje vrijeme sve više. Pochettino u svemu tome izgleda kao čovjek čiji je posao samo izabrati najutjecajniju jedanaestorku i nadati se da će mu momčad uspjeti pobijediti, jer njegov trenerski potpis koji je Tottenham barem nakratko uveo među samu europsku elitu uopće se ne može vidjeti, a to ide toliko daleko da mnogi sada počinju sumnjati u Argentinčeve sposobnosti. Ipak, mora se uzeti u obzir i to da su mnogi tako sumnjali i u sposobnosti Thomasa Tuchela dok je sjedio na klupi Parižana, a Nijemac je nakon toga odveo Chelsea do naslova europskog prvaka.

Nogomet je puno kompleksniji od samog prekrcavanja kadra najboljim igračima na svijetu i očekivanja da će ti momčad pobjeđivati zbog same te činjenice, a PSG dokaz toga može osjetiti na svojoj koži iz godine u godinu. No, umjesto da promijene pristup, Parižani samo odlaze u sve veće ekstreme, a to ih je ove sezone dovelo do još jednog ispadanja već u osmini finala Lige prvaka.

Kontroverzni Danny Makkelie možda je mogao svirati prekršaj Karima Benzeme na Gianluigiju Donnarummi u 61. minuti sinoćnjeg susreta, jer pogodak francuskog napadača koji je uslijedio u nastavku akcije dao je novu energiju Realu i zapravo inicirao preokret koji je nedugo zatim uslijedio, ali Al-Khelaifiju i Leonardu bi bilo bolje da preispitaju svoju sportsku politiku nego da nakon utakmice pokušavaju provaliti u sudačku svlačionicu kao da je riječ o utakmici druge županijske lige, a ne osmini finala najelitnijeg europskog klupskog natjecanja.
