PSG se od dolaska katarske vladajuće obitelji na tržištu ponašao onako kako se klubovi iz Saudijske Arabije ponašaju danas. Ponude zvijezdama koje se ne mogu odbiti bile su dodatno potpomognute činjenicom da se klub nalazi u Parizu, jednom od najglamuroznijih gradova na svijetu, a u proteklih 12 godina smo svjedočili milijardama koje su Katarani bacili pod noge najboljim nogometašima na svijetu.

Dovođenje Neymara iz Barcelone za 222 milijuna eura još je uvijek najskuplji transfer u povijesti nogometa, a simbolično je što je Brazilac ovog ljeta zamijenio Park prinčeva baš sa Saudijskom Arabijom.

Ako njegovom odlasku pridodamo i odluku Lionela Messija da također napusti pariški klub i ode kod Davida Beckhama na Floridu te sagu oko Kyliana Mbappéa, koji kao razmaženo derište svakih par mjeseci govori da želi otići iz kluba u kojem je dobio praktički direktorske ovlasti, javlja se izraženi osjećaj da je ovo kraj PSG-a kakvog smo poznavali.

Naime, saudijska ofenziva pogonjena beskonačnim novcem znači da je tamošnja liga postala najatraktivnija alternativa svim onim igračima koji nemaju izrazitu želju zaigrati u nekom od europskih velikana, ali i onima kojima je novac na prvom mjestu.

Katarski šeici htjeli su pretvoriti PSG u jednu od europskih velesila, a to im je bio samo jedan segment plana za ulazak na francusku, a onda i na globalnu društveno-političku scenu. Ta inicijativa poznata je pod općeprihvaćenim nazivom "sportswashing".

Klub je zapravo bio prototip saudijskih "al-ova" koji su ovog ljeta uzdrmali svjetski nogometni poredak, ali opetovana posrtanja u Ligi prvaka i natjecanje u prvenstvu u kojem nemaju pravu konkurenciju i čija marketinška atraktivnost uvelike ovisi o tome koliko će oni zvijezda uspjeti privući, pretvorili su PSG u devalvirani proizvod koji nakon saudijske ofenzive igračima više nema puno toga za ponuditi.

Čak i u takvom odnosu snaga u Ligue 1, PSG je dvaput uspio ostati bez naslova prvaka, i to ne računajući onu 2012. godinu, kada je Montpellier predvođen Olivierom Giroudom osvojio titulu ispred pariškog kluba u koji su tek počele kapati bliskoistočne milijarde.

Namjesnik katarske vladajuće obitelji, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, vjerojatno bi bio spreman uzvratiti udarac Saudijcima, ali na putu mu stoji UEFA na čelu s njegovim dobrim prijateljem Aleksanderom Čeferinom.

Naime, pariški klub je u više navrata prekršio UEFA-in financijski fair play (FFP), a nakon što je u pandemijskom periodu između 2019. i 2022. ubilježio gubitak od 700 milijuna eura, morao je sklopiti nagodbu s UEFA-om da u sljedeće tri sezone neće ubilježiti ukupni gubitak veći od 60 milijuna eura.

Parižani su ispunili dio dogovora koji se odnosio na prošlu sezonu, ali nova UEFA-ina shema, koja će zamijeniti FFP, također predstavlja problem za PSG koji je pretprošle sezone imao daleko najveću platnu listu u svijetu nogometu, a koja je iznosila 730 milijuna eura godišnje. Samo na Mbappéa otpada 200 milijuna...

Ukratko, klubovi će ubuduće smjeti imati veće gubitke, ali će od sezone 2025./26. na plaće, odštete i provizije agentima moći trošiti samo 70 posto od ukupnih prihoda.

Odlasci Messija i Neymara oslobodili su popriličan prostor u budžetu, dok i Al-Hilalovih 90 milijuna eura na ime odštete za Brazilca također nije naodmet, ali promatrano u dugoročnoj perspektivi, PSG će i dalje biti ograničen nekakvim pravilima. Saudijski klubovi neće.

Real Madrid i Barcelona nemjerljivo su privlačnije destinacije od PSG-a, dok će najjači premierligaški klubovi nastaviti privlačiti najbolje igrače zbog same činjenice što nastupaju u najglamuroznijoj i najkompetitivnijoj ligi na svijetu. A tu je uvijek i Bayern, koji je ovog ljeta povukao nekarakterističan potez i doveo Harryja Kanea za 100 milijuna eura.

Pariški klub nikome od njih nikada nije ni mogao parirati u tom kontekstu, a sada više nema mogućnost ni ponuditi najveće plaće, jer su se u igru uključili Saudijci.

Veliko je pitanje i koliki će novac medijske kuće u budućnosti nuditi za TV prava na utakmice u kojima više nema ponajboljih igrača na svijetu. PSG je i dosad bio praktički jedini nositelj atraktivnosti u tom smislu, a ubrzo bi mogao ostati bez ijednog istinskog "flagship" igrača. Sve to znači manji prihod za Parižane, a onda i manje prostora za trošenje.

PSG će i dalje biti važan Kataranima zbog onoga što im donosi u širem smislu, ali ako govorimo o nogometnom projektu, dojam je da je on osuđen na propast. Barem u ovom obliku... Nije isključeno da će se Katarani odlučiti na promjenu politike pa pretvoriti PSG u ozbiljan klub s jasnom hijerarhijom. Kao što su, primjerice, njihova "braća po petrodolarima" Emiraćani, napravili s Manchester Cityjem.

PSG se od dolaska katarske vladajuće obitelji na tržištu ponašao onako kako se klubovi iz Saudijske Arabije ponašaju danas. Ponude zvijezdama koje se ne mogu odbiti bile su dodatno potpomognute činjenicom da se klub nalazi u Parizu, jednom od najglamuroznijih gradova na svijetu, a u proteklih 12 godina smo svjedočili milijardama koje su Katarani bacili pod noge najboljim nogometašima na svijetu.

Dovođenje Neymara iz Barcelone za 222 milijuna eura još je uvijek najskuplji transfer u povijesti nogometa, a simbolično je što je Brazilac ovog ljeta zamijenio Park prinčeva baš sa Saudijskom Arabijom.

Ako njegovom odlasku pridodamo i odluku Lionela Messija da također napusti pariški klub i ode kod Davida Beckhama na Floridu te sagu oko Kyliana Mbappéa, koji kao razmaženo derište svakih par mjeseci govori da želi otići iz kluba u kojem je dobio praktički direktorske ovlasti, javlja se izraženi osjećaj da je ovo kraj PSG-a kakvog smo poznavali.

Naime, saudijska ofenziva pogonjena beskonačnim novcem znači da je tamošnja liga postala najatraktivnija alternativa svim onim igračima koji nemaju izrazitu želju zaigrati u nekom od europskih velikana, ali i onima kojima je novac na prvom mjestu.

Katarski šeici htjeli su pretvoriti PSG u jednu od europskih velesila, a to im je bio samo jedan segment plana za ulazak na francusku, a onda i na globalnu društveno-političku scenu. Ta inicijativa poznata je pod općeprihvaćenim nazivom "sportswashing".

Klub je zapravo bio prototip saudijskih "al-ova" koji su ovog ljeta uzdrmali svjetski nogometni poredak, ali opetovana posrtanja u Ligi prvaka i natjecanje u prvenstvu u kojem nemaju pravu konkurenciju i čija marketinška atraktivnost uvelike ovisi o tome koliko će oni zvijezda uspjeti privući, pretvorili su PSG u devalvirani proizvod koji nakon saudijske ofenzive igračima više nema puno toga za ponuditi.

Čak i u takvom odnosu snaga u Ligue 1, PSG je dvaput uspio ostati bez naslova prvaka, i to ne računajući onu 2012. godinu, kada je Montpellier predvođen Olivierom Giroudom osvojio titulu ispred pariškog kluba u koji su tek počele kapati bliskoistočne milijarde.

Namjesnik katarske vladajuće obitelji, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, vjerojatno bi bio spreman uzvratiti udarac Saudijcima, ali na putu mu stoji UEFA na čelu s njegovim dobrim prijateljem Aleksanderom Čeferinom.

Naime, pariški klub je u više navrata prekršio UEFA-in financijski fair play (FFP), a nakon što je u pandemijskom periodu između 2019. i 2022. ubilježio gubitak od 700 milijuna eura, morao je sklopiti nagodbu s UEFA-om da u sljedeće tri sezone neće ubilježiti ukupni gubitak veći od 60 milijuna eura.

Parižani su ispunili dio dogovora koji se odnosio na prošlu sezonu, ali nova UEFA-ina shema, koja će zamijeniti FFP, također predstavlja problem za PSG koji je pretprošle sezone imao daleko najveću platnu listu u svijetu nogometu, a koja je iznosila 730 milijuna eura godišnje. Samo na Mbappéa otpada 200 milijuna...

Ukratko, klubovi će ubuduće smjeti imati veće gubitke, ali će od sezone 2025./26. na plaće, odštete i provizije agentima moći trošiti samo 70 posto od ukupnih prihoda.

Odlasci Messija i Neymara oslobodili su popriličan prostor u budžetu, dok i Al-Hilalovih 90 milijuna eura na ime odštete za Brazilca također nije naodmet, ali promatrano u dugoročnoj perspektivi, PSG će i dalje biti ograničen nekakvim pravilima. Saudijski klubovi neće.

Real Madrid i Barcelona nemjerljivo su privlačnije destinacije od PSG-a, dok će najjači premierligaški klubovi nastaviti privlačiti najbolje igrače zbog same činjenice što nastupaju u najglamuroznijoj i najkompetitivnijoj ligi na svijetu. A tu je uvijek i Bayern, koji je ovog ljeta povukao nekarakterističan potez i doveo Harryja Kanea za 100 milijuna eura.

Pariški klub nikome od njih nikada nije ni mogao parirati u tom kontekstu, a sada više nema mogućnost ni ponuditi najveće plaće, jer su se u igru uključili Saudijci.

Veliko je pitanje i koliki će novac medijske kuće u budućnosti nuditi za TV prava na utakmice u kojima više nema ponajboljih igrača na svijetu. PSG je i dosad bio praktički jedini nositelj atraktivnosti u tom smislu, a ubrzo bi mogao ostati bez ijednog istinskog "flagship" igrača. Sve to znači manji prihod za Parižane, a onda i manje prostora za trošenje.

PSG će i dalje biti važan Kataranima zbog onoga što im donosi u širem smislu, ali ako govorimo o nogometnom projektu, dojam je da je on osuđen na propast. Barem u ovom obliku... Nije isključeno da će se Katarani odlučiti na promjenu politike pa pretvoriti PSG u ozbiljan klub s jasnom hijerarhijom. Kao što su, primjerice, njihova "braća po petrodolarima" Emiraćani, napravili s Manchester Cityjem.
