U nedjelju 23. veljače Split će ponovno biti hit odredište zaljubljenika u trčanje. Ove godine održava se dvadeseto izdanje Splitskog polumaratona i baš je nekako prigodno što će se na tom jubileju prvi put trčati i – maraton!
Sve je spremno, organizatori iz MK Marjan poručuju da bi se utrka mogla održati odmah danas. Očekuje se rekordan broj od 4000 sudionika iz preko 40 zemalja svijeta, a posebno je zanimljivo što će (grado)načelnici Splita, Solina, Klisa i Podstrane zajedno trčati maratonsku štafetu.
- Maraton je rasprodan prije dva mjeseca, a brojka od 900 natjecatelja čini nas najvećim maratonom u Hrvatskoj do sada – rekao je predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora Kristijan Sindik na konferenciji za medije u hotelu Le Meridien Lav u Podstrani.
Uz glavne utrke maratona i polumaratona koje su na rasporedu 23. veljače, dan ranije trče se „DM dječje milje” te Trofej Slobodne Dalmacije na 5 kilometara, a u petak se u Sportskom centru Gripe otvara sajam „ST Sport Expo”, što znači da će se manifestacija protegnuti na tri dana.
- U polumaratonu očekujemo 2000 natjecatelja, a u Trofeju Slobodne Dalmacije, koji je rasprodan, 500 - kazao je Sindik.
Uz uobičajene znamenitosti na trasi polumaratona poput Dioklecijanove palače, Rive (gdje je start), vojne baze u Lori, stadiona Poljud, Marjana i Zapadne obale, maratonska ruta trkače će provesti i kroz Dujmovaču do Vranjica te preko Bačvica, Firula, Trstenika, Žnjana i Duilova gdje se okreću prije završnog juriša do cilja na Rivi.
- Istrčao sam najveće svjetske maratone poput Bostona, New Yorka i Tokija te mogu sa sigurnošću reći da je naša maratonska staza najljepša. Imamo sudionike iz Etiopije i Kenije uz jake domaće snage tako da pored masovnosti očekujemo i dosta kvalitetnu utrku – smatra Sindik koji se pohvalio i brojkom od čak 500 volontera. Svaka čast.
Apsolutni je hit ovogodišnjeg izdanja što će štafetnu utrku maratona zajedničkim snagama istrčati splitski gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara, gradonačelnik Solina Dalibor Ninčević, načelnik Podstrane Mladen Bartulović i načelnik Klisa Jakov Vetma. Bartulović kreće prvi, od Rive do Vranjica, Ninčević preuzima do Lore, Vetma do Banovine, a ondje štafeta dolazi u ruke Krstulovića Opare.
- Eto, čak se ni toga dana ne mogu osloboditi Banovine – našalio se splitski poteštat čija će dionica biti najdulja, 12.2 kilometra.
Opara je dodao:
- Trčanje je postalo pokret koji je teško zaustavljiv. Lani smo na utrci imali najjaču buru, godinu prije toga snijeg... Ma, i da padaju sikire, trčali bi! To je način života.
Bartulovića na „presici” nažalost nije bilo, dok su Ninčević i Vetma rekli kako im se trčanje uvuklo pod kožu te kako ovim potezom šalju poruku zajedništva.
Kao i svaki put – a ove godine još i više zbog prvog izdanja maratona – utrka je važna i iz turističkog aspekta o čemu su pričali direktorica Turističke zajednice grada Splita Alijana Vukšić i direktor TZ Splitsko-dalmatinske županije Joško Stella.
- Lani je u šest dana za vrijeme trajanja polumaratona ostvareno preko 10.000 noćenja, a ove godine očekujemo još više. Najbolji promotori bit će trkači koji će putem društvenih mreža slati najljepše razglednice u svijet – rekla je Vukšić, dok je pročelnik Upravnog odjela za turizam i pomorstvo SDŽ Stipe Čogelja dodao kako je ovo jedna od top tri manifestacije koje podržavaju i da će to činiti i ubuduće. Bez podrške institucija organizacija jedne ovako zahtjevne manifestacije ne bi bila moguća.

Humanitarni aspekt
Splitski maraton i ove će godine imati humanitarni aspekt. Zamjenica predsjednika Organizacijskog odbora Sandra Russo Zelenović rekla je kako će se u suradnji s plivačicom Dinom Levačić prikupljati sredstva za kupnju didaktičkih pomagala udruzi Perle iz Staroga Grada, a dodala je i kako će se sportski sajam na Gripama sastojati od raznih radionica o zdravoj prehrani i saniranju ozljeda, projekcija filmova o maratonu i trčanju, natjecanja u obaranju ruku, penjanja po umjetnoj stijeni... Nema Pahora, ali ima drugih zanimljivih gostiju
Slovenski predsjednik Borut Pahor ove godine, za razliku od prošle, vjerojatno neće trčati u Splitu.
- Zvali smo ga i čekamo odgovor, ali nismo sigurni da će doći budući da ima problema s Vladom – rekao je Sindik.
Ali zato stiže zanimljiva gošća iz SAD-a.
- U Bejrutu sam upoznao gospođu od 72 godine koja je istrčala maratone na svih sedam kontinenata uključujući Antarktiku. Hrvatska će joj biti stota država u kojoj će trčati, a maraton u Splitu bit će joj 242. u životu! To je Japanka koja živi u Americi, a počela je trčati tek prije 15-ak godina.
A propos koronavirusa, nema natjecatelja iz Kine.
- Ali su nam borše iz Kine. I majice – nasmijao se Sindik.

U nedjelju 23. veljače Split će ponovno biti hit odredište zaljubljenika u trčanje. Ove godine održava se dvadeseto izdanje Splitskog polumaratona i baš je nekako prigodno što će se na tom jubileju prvi put trčati i – maraton!
Sve je spremno, organizatori iz MK Marjan poručuju da bi se utrka mogla održati odmah danas. Očekuje se rekordan broj od 4000 sudionika iz preko 40 zemalja svijeta, a posebno je zanimljivo što će (grado)načelnici Splita, Solina, Klisa i Podstrane zajedno trčati maratonsku štafetu.
- Maraton je rasprodan prije dva mjeseca, a brojka od 900 natjecatelja čini nas najvećim maratonom u Hrvatskoj do sada – rekao je predsjednik Organizacijskog odbora Kristijan Sindik na konferenciji za medije u hotelu Le Meridien Lav u Podstrani.
Uz glavne utrke maratona i polumaratona koje su na rasporedu 23. veljače, dan ranije trče se „DM dječje milje” te Trofej Slobodne Dalmacije na 5 kilometara, a u petak se u Sportskom centru Gripe otvara sajam „ST Sport Expo”, što znači da će se manifestacija protegnuti na tri dana.
- U polumaratonu očekujemo 2000 natjecatelja, a u Trofeju Slobodne Dalmacije, koji je rasprodan, 500 - kazao je Sindik.
Uz uobičajene znamenitosti na trasi polumaratona poput Dioklecijanove palače, Rive (gdje je start), vojne baze u Lori, stadiona Poljud, Marjana i Zapadne obale, maratonska ruta trkače će provesti i kroz Dujmovaču do Vranjica te preko Bačvica, Firula, Trstenika, Žnjana i Duilova gdje se okreću prije završnog juriša do cilja na Rivi.
- Istrčao sam najveće svjetske maratone poput Bostona, New Yorka i Tokija te mogu sa sigurnošću reći da je naša maratonska staza najljepša. Imamo sudionike iz Etiopije i Kenije uz jake domaće snage tako da pored masovnosti očekujemo i dosta kvalitetnu utrku – smatra Sindik koji se pohvalio i brojkom od čak 500 volontera. Svaka čast.
Apsolutni je hit ovogodišnjeg izdanja što će štafetnu utrku maratona zajedničkim snagama istrčati splitski gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara, gradonačelnik Solina Dalibor Ninčević, načelnik Podstrane Mladen Bartulović i načelnik Klisa Jakov Vetma. Bartulović kreće prvi, od Rive do Vranjica, Ninčević preuzima do Lore, Vetma do Banovine, a ondje štafeta dolazi u ruke Krstulovića Opare.
- Eto, čak se ni toga dana ne mogu osloboditi Banovine – našalio se splitski poteštat čija će dionica biti najdulja, 12.2 kilometra.
Opara je dodao:
- Trčanje je postalo pokret koji je teško zaustavljiv. Lani smo na utrci imali najjaču buru, godinu prije toga snijeg... Ma, i da padaju sikire, trčali bi! To je način života.
Bartulovića na „presici” nažalost nije bilo, dok su Ninčević i Vetma rekli kako im se trčanje uvuklo pod kožu te kako ovim potezom šalju poruku zajedništva.
Kao i svaki put – a ove godine još i više zbog prvog izdanja maratona – utrka je važna i iz turističkog aspekta o čemu su pričali direktorica Turističke zajednice grada Splita Alijana Vukšić i direktor TZ Splitsko-dalmatinske županije Joško Stella.
- Lani je u šest dana za vrijeme trajanja polumaratona ostvareno preko 10.000 noćenja, a ove godine očekujemo još više. Najbolji promotori bit će trkači koji će putem društvenih mreža slati najljepše razglednice u svijet – rekla je Vukšić, dok je pročelnik Upravnog odjela za turizam i pomorstvo SDŽ Stipe Čogelja dodao kako je ovo jedna od top tri manifestacije koje podržavaju i da će to činiti i ubuduće. Bez podrške institucija organizacija jedne ovako zahtjevne manifestacije ne bi bila moguća.

Humanitarni aspekt
Splitski maraton i ove će godine imati humanitarni aspekt. Zamjenica predsjednika Organizacijskog odbora Sandra Russo Zelenović rekla je kako će se u suradnji s plivačicom Dinom Levačić prikupljati sredstva za kupnju didaktičkih pomagala udruzi Perle iz Staroga Grada, a dodala je i kako će se sportski sajam na Gripama sastojati od raznih radionica o zdravoj prehrani i saniranju ozljeda, projekcija filmova o maratonu i trčanju, natjecanja u obaranju ruku, penjanja po umjetnoj stijeni... Nema Pahora, ali ima drugih zanimljivih gostiju
Slovenski predsjednik Borut Pahor ove godine, za razliku od prošle, vjerojatno neće trčati u Splitu.
- Zvali smo ga i čekamo odgovor, ali nismo sigurni da će doći budući da ima problema s Vladom – rekao je Sindik.
Ali zato stiže zanimljiva gošća iz SAD-a.
- U Bejrutu sam upoznao gospođu od 72 godine koja je istrčala maratone na svih sedam kontinenata uključujući Antarktiku. Hrvatska će joj biti stota država u kojoj će trčati, a maraton u Splitu bit će joj 242. u životu! To je Japanka koja živi u Americi, a počela je trčati tek prije 15-ak godina.
A propos koronavirusa, nema natjecatelja iz Kine.
- Ali su nam borše iz Kine. I majice – nasmijao se Sindik.
