Na Europskom veslačkom prvenstvu u mađarskom Szegedu, Ivana i Josipa Jurković ostvarile su veliki uspjeh i osvojile brončanu medalju u ženskom dvojcu bez kormilara.

U cilj su ušle s vremenom 8:03.13 minuta i tako došle do svoje prve seniorske medalje.  Do 1500 metara, sestre Jurković bile su četvrte, ali su snažnim finišem u posljednjih 500 metara uspjele osvojiti broncu. Rumunjke su osvojile zlato s vremenom  7:52.05, dok je srebro pripalo Grkinjama s vremenom 8:00.87.

- Bilo je napeto, vjerujemo gledateljima i više nego nama! Možemo reći da smo se prošvercale do zadnjih 500 metara, ali onda smo pokazale našu krv s kamena, s otoka. Prezadovoljne smo, ovo je naša prva seniorska medalja i idemo dalje graditi - rekla je Josipa Jurković

- Hvala mama i tata, hvala baba ako si gledala utrku, hvala obitelji i prijateljima i hvala svima koji  su bili uz nas i koji su vjerovali u nas - nadodala je Ivana Jurković. Sestre Jurković su blizanke iz Vela Luke na otoku Korčuli, ali su rodni otok prije sedam godina zamijenile Zagrebom.

Ova medalja dobar je pokazatelj sestrama Jurković pred nadolazeću kvalifikacijsku regatu za Olimpijske igre u Parizu, koja će se održati u švicarskom Luzernu od 19. do 21. svibnja.

Braća Martin i Valent Sinković ostali su bez medalje na Europskom prvenstvu. Zauzeli su četvrto mjesto u dvojcu bez kormilara s vremenom 7:10.52 minuta, četiri sekunde zaostatka za brončanim Švicarcima. Zlatna medalja pripala je Britancima s vremenom 7:01.54, dok su srebro osvojili Rumunji s vremenom 7:03.88.

- Ne mogu reći da je utrka bila kako smo očekivali. Nakon kvalifikacija i polufinala, nadali smo se da ćemo biti bliže borbi za medalju, ali ovo je još jedna lekcija. Idemo sada malo odmoriti i nastavljamo s pripremama za ostatak sezone i Pariz - rekao je Martin Sinković, dok je njegov brat Valent bio razočaran.

- Definitivno nismo zadovoljni utrkom, očekivali smo više. Prve dvije utrke su bile bolje, probavali smo neke nove stvari, ali ovo nam je dobra škola i nekad stvarno treba vidjeti kako ne. Još uvijek smo pozitivni, znamo da možemo dići formu i jedva čekamo daljnje pripreme. Vjerujemo u sebe i idemo dalje još jače.

Na Europskom veslačkom prvenstvu u mađarskom Szegedu, Ivana i Josipa Jurković ostvarile su veliki uspjeh i osvojile brončanu medalju u ženskom dvojcu bez kormilara.

U cilj su ušle s vremenom 8:03.13 minuta i tako došle do svoje prve seniorske medalje.  Do 1500 metara, sestre Jurković bile su četvrte, ali su snažnim finišem u posljednjih 500 metara uspjele osvojiti broncu. Rumunjke su osvojile zlato s vremenom  7:52.05, dok je srebro pripalo Grkinjama s vremenom 8:00.87.

- Bilo je napeto, vjerujemo gledateljima i više nego nama! Možemo reći da smo se prošvercale do zadnjih 500 metara, ali onda smo pokazale našu krv s kamena, s otoka. Prezadovoljne smo, ovo je naša prva seniorska medalja i idemo dalje graditi - rekla je Josipa Jurković

- Hvala mama i tata, hvala baba ako si gledala utrku, hvala obitelji i prijateljima i hvala svima koji  su bili uz nas i koji su vjerovali u nas - nadodala je Ivana Jurković. Sestre Jurković su blizanke iz Vela Luke na otoku Korčuli, ali su rodni otok prije sedam godina zamijenile Zagrebom.

Ova medalja dobar je pokazatelj sestrama Jurković pred nadolazeću kvalifikacijsku regatu za Olimpijske igre u Parizu, koja će se održati u švicarskom Luzernu od 19. do 21. svibnja.

Braća Martin i Valent Sinković ostali su bez medalje na Europskom prvenstvu. Zauzeli su četvrto mjesto u dvojcu bez kormilara s vremenom 7:10.52 minuta, četiri sekunde zaostatka za brončanim Švicarcima. Zlatna medalja pripala je Britancima s vremenom 7:01.54, dok su srebro osvojili Rumunji s vremenom 7:03.88.

- Ne mogu reći da je utrka bila kako smo očekivali. Nakon kvalifikacija i polufinala, nadali smo se da ćemo biti bliže borbi za medalju, ali ovo je još jedna lekcija. Idemo sada malo odmoriti i nastavljamo s pripremama za ostatak sezone i Pariz - rekao je Martin Sinković, dok je njegov brat Valent bio razočaran.

- Definitivno nismo zadovoljni utrkom, očekivali smo više. Prve dvije utrke su bile bolje, probavali smo neke nove stvari, ali ovo nam je dobra škola i nekad stvarno treba vidjeti kako ne. Još uvijek smo pozitivni, znamo da možemo dići formu i jedva čekamo daljnje pripreme. Vjerujemo u sebe i idemo dalje još jače.
