Prva hrvatska sportašica koja je na paraolimpijskim igrama osvojila odličje, Milka Milinković (53) zaključila je nastup na paraolimpijskim igrama u Pekingu osvojivši 13. mjesto u bacanju koplja.

Milka, je poput osvajačice zlata Antonie Balek u kolicima i sa dijagnozom tetraplegija, no zbog nešto drugačijih vrsta oštećnje nastupa u kategoriji F55.

"Ubila sam samu sebe u pojam. Ovaj rezultat je katastrofa. Htjela sam napraviti što bolji rezultat, no pukla sam. Užasno sam razočarana," kazala je najstarija i najiskusnija hrvatska paraolimpijska kojoj su igre u Pekingu ukupno osme i po svemu sudeći posljednje.

"Željela sam se oprostiti s dobrim rezultatom i zbog toga sam jako žalosna. U Peking sam došla sa dvije A norme i niti jednu nisam potvrdila. Svjesna sam da nemam izgleda za medalju, no samu sebe sam razočarala. Ne znam što se može dogoditi no ovo su moje zadnje igre," kazala je Milka Milinković.

Prve na kojima je nastupila bile su u Heidelbergu 1972. godine, a zatim su uslijedili nastupi u Arnhemu (1980), u Stoke Mandevilu (1984), u Seoulu (1988), Barceloni (1992), Atlanti (1996), Sydneyu (2000) i sada Pekingu. U Torontu 1976. godine nije nastupila jer je Jugoslavija bojkotirala igre zbog nastupa Južnoafričke Republike, a propustila je i Atenu prije četiri godine.

U Barceloni je osvojila treće mjesto u bacanju koplja što je bilo prvo hrvatsko paraolimpijsko odličje. Na POI je osvojila i dvije zlatne, dvije srebrne i tri brončane medalje ali u bivšoj državi.

Prva hrvatska sportašica koja je na paraolimpijskim igrama osvojila odličje, Milka Milinković (53) zaključila je nastup na paraolimpijskim igrama u Pekingu osvojivši 13. mjesto u bacanju koplja.

Milka, je poput osvajačice zlata Antonie Balek u kolicima i sa dijagnozom tetraplegija, no zbog nešto drugačijih vrsta oštećnje nastupa u kategoriji F55.

"Ubila sam samu sebe u pojam. Ovaj rezultat je katastrofa. Htjela sam napraviti što bolji rezultat, no pukla sam. Užasno sam razočarana," kazala je najstarija i najiskusnija hrvatska paraolimpijska kojoj su igre u Pekingu ukupno osme i po svemu sudeći posljednje.

"Željela sam se oprostiti s dobrim rezultatom i zbog toga sam jako žalosna. U Peking sam došla sa dvije A norme i niti jednu nisam potvrdila. Svjesna sam da nemam izgleda za medalju, no samu sebe sam razočarala. Ne znam što se može dogoditi no ovo su moje zadnje igre," kazala je Milka Milinković.

Prve na kojima je nastupila bile su u Heidelbergu 1972. godine, a zatim su uslijedili nastupi u Arnhemu (1980), u Stoke Mandevilu (1984), u Seoulu (1988), Barceloni (1992), Atlanti (1996), Sydneyu (2000) i sada Pekingu. U Torontu 1976. godine nije nastupila jer je Jugoslavija bojkotirala igre zbog nastupa Južnoafričke Republike, a propustila je i Atenu prije četiri godine.

U Barceloni je osvojila treće mjesto u bacanju koplja što je bilo prvo hrvatsko paraolimpijsko odličje. Na POI je osvojila i dvije zlatne, dvije srebrne i tri brončane medalje ali u bivšoj državi.
