Veliki događaji i promjene su na rasporedu u globalno voljenom sportu, sportu čija su popularnost i svjetla ipak u većem dijelu zaobišla Hrvatsku - ragbiju. 

Ragbi je jedan od onih sportova kojima se u Hrvatskoj igrači bave isključivo zbog strasti. Nekakvi snovi o navijačima ili novcu su odavno zaboravljeni. Ako se želite baviti ovim sportom, jedino što vam je zagarantirano su zemlja, blato, napor i modrice.

Sutra počinje Svjetsko prvenstvo u ragbiju, planetarno popularan događaj, ali ako vam razmišljati na tako velikoj sceni stvara problem, možemo i o lokalnim vijestima. Ragbi klub Nada, ponos Splita, ima novog trenera. Trenera-igrača točnije. I s njim su odlučni vratiti prvenstvo u grad.

Riječ je o Krešimiru Čoriću, koji ubrzo navršava i jubilarnu 20. godišnjicu igranja ragbija. Nakon posla, kratko je navratio kući  "obidvat", i evo ga odmah do Starog placa, isto kako i inače dolazi na treninge. Ipak nema love u ragbiju. Nema ni bolje osobe da nam uoči Svjetskog prvenstva otkrije sve tajne sporta.

- Režem kamen u Mravincima, taman za mene ragbijaša ha ha. Ostane nešto snage koju tamo dobijem - priča Krešo o svom tipičnom jutru, prije nego se u nastavku dana može posvetiti svojoj strasti.

Nada proteklih desetljeća gospodari ragbijem u Hrvatskoj, zagrebačka Mladost je tradicionalni rival. Ali, prošle sezone i Prvenstvo i Kup su završili u Sinju. Vraćaju li se trofeji iduće sezone na Stari plac?

- Pa takav je plan, uvijek želiš prije svega osvojiti Prvenstvo. Njih smo često nizali, a Kup bi nam svako malo pobjegao, tako je to u sportu. Sad su Sinjani osvojili i jedno i drugo, moram reći zasluženo, stvarno zasluženo. Ali vjerujemo da opet osvajamo, Prvenstvo je postalo gusto i napeto, ali idemo po titulu.

Kao iz kabla

Krešo je počeo trenirati ragbi kada je imao deset godina, na blef, što bi se reklo. Taj sport ga nije posebno zanimao, prijatelj ga je dugo nagovarao. Kada je napokon popustio i prvi dan došao na Stari plac, kiša je lijevala "kao iz kabla". Nije Kreši ništa drugo trebalo, to je bila ljubav na prvi pogled.

Nakon utakmice, kada si cijeli blatnjav i pun modrica, padne li ti kad na pamet ‘Što mi ovo u životu treba, ne bi li mi bilo bolje da treniram tenis ili nešto slično?‘"

- Ha ha, ma čak i nije. Kad pobijediš te nije briga, sve to zaboraviš. Ali nekad se dogodi, jedanput u Beogradu nije bio upaljen bojler, pa se sad otuširaj od blata u hladnoj vodi, em ti je hladno, i šporkica se ne skida. U tom trenutku se dobro ispsuješ, al to na kraju sve budu uspomene.

Počinje sada i Svjetsko prvenstvo, kakav je to događaj?

- Jedva čekamo, i još odmah na početku Novi Zeland protiv Francuske. Tko inače ne prati ragbi i upali tu utakmicu, zaljubit će se u sport. Mi u Nadi smo se zaželjeli takvog ragbija, u klupskom kafiću imamo organizirano gledanje, bit će puno. Novi Zeland je uvijek favorit, ovo je prvo SP da to nisu. Dosta je izjednačeno sada, sve je konkurentnije. Najviše se očekuje od Francuske, Novog Zelanda, Irske. Tu su i Fidži i Tonga, male otočke države koje žive za taj sport. U njih deset posto populacije igra ragbi.

Za koga će se navijati u klubu?

- Ma, svatko navija za nekog drugog. Iako, mi stariji uglavnom tradicionalno najviše pratimo Novi Zeland.

Mi Hrvati, baš smo sportski nadareni. Iako ragbi nema na sebi oči šire publike u Hrvatskoj, igrači hrvatskih korijena su ostavili dubok trag u ovom sportu. Brojna je naša dijaspora u Australiji i Novom Zelandu, a mnogi igrači "naše gore list" su, pogotovo 90-ih, u tamošnjim reprezentacijama igrali važne uloge. U redovima Čilea ove godine imamo Matiasa i Nicolasa Garafulica, potomke hrvatskih iseljenika.

A di si ti?

Hrvatske reprezentacije nema, gdje smo mi u cijeloj ovoj priči?

- Najbolje smo plasirani u zadnjih deset godina. U ragbiju 7 (verziji u kojoj svaka momčad igra sa sedam igrača, op. a.) smo u najboljih dvanaest u Europi. To je za jednu malu Hrvatsku van svake pameti. 

U ragbiju 15 smo u trećoj jakosnoj skupini. Iskreno, nismo kalibar za drugu, ali zadovoljni smo i ovim rezultatom, cilj nam je zadržati mjesto tu.

Putuje li se na SP?

- Ide dosta ljudi iz kluba. Ja ne idem, na lutriji za karte nisam dobio, ali nema veze - prepričava Krešo, a jednu sezonu se i on okušao u inozemstvu. 

- U Škotskoj sam jednu sezonu i odigrao, ekvivalent trećeg ranga tamo. Čak sam dobivao neku dnevnicu, uz to, našli su mi i posao. U nas nakon utakmice dobiješ jesti i piti. Iako sam igrao u trećem rangu, uvjeti su bili fenomenalni, stadion koji bi uvijek bio ugodno popunjen, pomoćni tereni, neki drugi svemir. Ali, meni je draže ovdje, ipak mi vrućina lakše pada nego kada je hladno.

Bit će tamo puni stadioni, to je ludilo. Jako velik događaj. To je treći najgledaniji sportski događaj uopće. Olimpijada, Svjetsko nogometno prvenstvo, pa ragbijaško.

Eto, ako nikada niste, vrijeme je da popratite. Svjetsko prvenstvo u ragbiju počinje sutra. Takoreći, pola svijeta živi za ovo. Iako je samo jednom SP osvojila država sa sjeverne hemisfere, mnogo Hrvata je svoj trag ostavilo u njemu.

Veliki događaji i promjene su na rasporedu u globalno voljenom sportu, sportu čija su popularnost i svjetla ipak u većem dijelu zaobišla Hrvatsku - ragbiju. 

Ragbi je jedan od onih sportova kojima se u Hrvatskoj igrači bave isključivo zbog strasti. Nekakvi snovi o navijačima ili novcu su odavno zaboravljeni. Ako se želite baviti ovim sportom, jedino što vam je zagarantirano su zemlja, blato, napor i modrice.

Sutra počinje Svjetsko prvenstvo u ragbiju, planetarno popularan događaj, ali ako vam razmišljati na tako velikoj sceni stvara problem, možemo i o lokalnim vijestima. Ragbi klub Nada, ponos Splita, ima novog trenera. Trenera-igrača točnije. I s njim su odlučni vratiti prvenstvo u grad.

Riječ je o Krešimiru Čoriću, koji ubrzo navršava i jubilarnu 20. godišnjicu igranja ragbija. Nakon posla, kratko je navratio kući  "obidvat", i evo ga odmah do Starog placa, isto kako i inače dolazi na treninge. Ipak nema love u ragbiju. Nema ni bolje osobe da nam uoči Svjetskog prvenstva otkrije sve tajne sporta.

- Režem kamen u Mravincima, taman za mene ragbijaša ha ha. Ostane nešto snage koju tamo dobijem - priča Krešo o svom tipičnom jutru, prije nego se u nastavku dana može posvetiti svojoj strasti.

Nada proteklih desetljeća gospodari ragbijem u Hrvatskoj, zagrebačka Mladost je tradicionalni rival. Ali, prošle sezone i Prvenstvo i Kup su završili u Sinju. Vraćaju li se trofeji iduće sezone na Stari plac?

- Pa takav je plan, uvijek želiš prije svega osvojiti Prvenstvo. Njih smo često nizali, a Kup bi nam svako malo pobjegao, tako je to u sportu. Sad su Sinjani osvojili i jedno i drugo, moram reći zasluženo, stvarno zasluženo. Ali vjerujemo da opet osvajamo, Prvenstvo je postalo gusto i napeto, ali idemo po titulu.

Kao iz kabla

Krešo je počeo trenirati ragbi kada je imao deset godina, na blef, što bi se reklo. Taj sport ga nije posebno zanimao, prijatelj ga je dugo nagovarao. Kada je napokon popustio i prvi dan došao na Stari plac, kiša je lijevala "kao iz kabla". Nije Kreši ništa drugo trebalo, to je bila ljubav na prvi pogled.

Nakon utakmice, kada si cijeli blatnjav i pun modrica, padne li ti kad na pamet ‘Što mi ovo u životu treba, ne bi li mi bilo bolje da treniram tenis ili nešto slično?‘"

- Ha ha, ma čak i nije. Kad pobijediš te nije briga, sve to zaboraviš. Ali nekad se dogodi, jedanput u Beogradu nije bio upaljen bojler, pa se sad otuširaj od blata u hladnoj vodi, em ti je hladno, i šporkica se ne skida. U tom trenutku se dobro ispsuješ, al to na kraju sve budu uspomene.

Počinje sada i Svjetsko prvenstvo, kakav je to događaj?

- Jedva čekamo, i još odmah na početku Novi Zeland protiv Francuske. Tko inače ne prati ragbi i upali tu utakmicu, zaljubit će se u sport. Mi u Nadi smo se zaželjeli takvog ragbija, u klupskom kafiću imamo organizirano gledanje, bit će puno. Novi Zeland je uvijek favorit, ovo je prvo SP da to nisu. Dosta je izjednačeno sada, sve je konkurentnije. Najviše se očekuje od Francuske, Novog Zelanda, Irske. Tu su i Fidži i Tonga, male otočke države koje žive za taj sport. U njih deset posto populacije igra ragbi.

Za koga će se navijati u klubu?

- Ma, svatko navija za nekog drugog. Iako, mi stariji uglavnom tradicionalno najviše pratimo Novi Zeland.

Mi Hrvati, baš smo sportski nadareni. Iako ragbi nema na sebi oči šire publike u Hrvatskoj, igrači hrvatskih korijena su ostavili dubok trag u ovom sportu. Brojna je naša dijaspora u Australiji i Novom Zelandu, a mnogi igrači "naše gore list" su, pogotovo 90-ih, u tamošnjim reprezentacijama igrali važne uloge. U redovima Čilea ove godine imamo Matiasa i Nicolasa Garafulica, potomke hrvatskih iseljenika.

A di si ti?

Hrvatske reprezentacije nema, gdje smo mi u cijeloj ovoj priči?

- Najbolje smo plasirani u zadnjih deset godina. U ragbiju 7 (verziji u kojoj svaka momčad igra sa sedam igrača, op. a.) smo u najboljih dvanaest u Europi. To je za jednu malu Hrvatsku van svake pameti. 

U ragbiju 15 smo u trećoj jakosnoj skupini. Iskreno, nismo kalibar za drugu, ali zadovoljni smo i ovim rezultatom, cilj nam je zadržati mjesto tu.

Putuje li se na SP?

- Ide dosta ljudi iz kluba. Ja ne idem, na lutriji za karte nisam dobio, ali nema veze - prepričava Krešo, a jednu sezonu se i on okušao u inozemstvu. 

- U Škotskoj sam jednu sezonu i odigrao, ekvivalent trećeg ranga tamo. Čak sam dobivao neku dnevnicu, uz to, našli su mi i posao. U nas nakon utakmice dobiješ jesti i piti. Iako sam igrao u trećem rangu, uvjeti su bili fenomenalni, stadion koji bi uvijek bio ugodno popunjen, pomoćni tereni, neki drugi svemir. Ali, meni je draže ovdje, ipak mi vrućina lakše pada nego kada je hladno.

Bit će tamo puni stadioni, to je ludilo. Jako velik događaj. To je treći najgledaniji sportski događaj uopće. Olimpijada, Svjetsko nogometno prvenstvo, pa ragbijaško.

Eto, ako nikada niste, vrijeme je da popratite. Svjetsko prvenstvo u ragbiju počinje sutra. Takoreći, pola svijeta živi za ovo. Iako je samo jednom SP osvojila država sa sjeverne hemisfere, mnogo Hrvata je svoj trag ostavilo u njemu.
