Tu je, pred vratima. Europski bacački kup u subotu i nedjelju održat će se u Splitu i Solinu. A objekti u Parku mladeži i u Saloni se glancaju, sređuju se zadnji detalji, a od grablji, lopate, čega god, ne preza ni prvi čovjek hrvatske i splitske atletike Ivan Veštić.
- Puno je ekipe, puno službi na terenu, unose i sređuju zadnje detalje. Bit će i noćnih smjena - kazao nam je Veštić.
- Pretvorilo se ovo u neslužbeno prvenstvo Europe, dolaze nam olimpijski pobjednici, svjetski prvaci, svjetski rekorderi, ovo je 20. Europski bacački kup s rekordnim brojem sudionika, najboljom kvalitetom natjecatelja. To meni i ljudima iz tima daje zamah, ali i šalje poruku europskoj atletici - promijenimo termin održavanja ovog natjecanja s ožujka na svibanj.
Tko sve dolazi?
- Ljudi su željni natjecanja, Poljaci, Nijemci, svi dolaze. Oko 530 ljudi iz Europe, 399 atletičara. Ukupna organizacija broji više od 800 ljudi, projekt je ovo koji, da priznam, ne znam bih li ga se opet uhvatio u tako malo vremena...
Split je “upao” kao rješenje jer je u Portugalu, koji je trebao biti domaćin, loša epidemiološka situacija.
- Kad smo išli ovo, odraditi posao u pet “nedjelja”, da mi sad netko to kaže, ne znam. Na ledini, na satravenoj stazi, bez organizacijske strukture, sređenih financija... Sve s ciljem da dovedemo Europu u Split, jer tko zna kad bi opet dobili priliku. Ali danas je delegat rekao da je dobro, da je jako zadovoljan. Prvi je ovo Kup koji se održava s tri kaveza za duga bacanja. Na glavnom stadionu je jedan i dva na pomoćnom, za kladivo i disk.
Uspjeli ste urediti bacalište koje je izvan stadiona?
- Na samo bacalište smo donijeli 1900 kubika zemlje, zasijali, radili... Firma Jadro je odradila veliki posao, sto čuda se radilo, sadilo, sijalo, kosilo...
Natjecat će se i na glavnom stadionu u Parku mladeži, ali i na bacalištu?
- Na glavnom terenu idu A grupe kladiva, diska i koplja, a B grupa i U 23 idu na bacalište. Kugla A muška i ženska ide u Salonu, ostala kugla je na glavnom terenu. Može se gledati kao da bacamo na dva stadiona plus Salona. To je jako zahtjevno. U ovako kratkom roku ovo napraviti, bez potpore prvenstveno vodstva Javne ustanove športski objekti na čelu s ravnateljem, našim djelatnicima, ne bismo uspjeli. Objekt s lošom strujom, nikakvom optikom... Puno se toga uskočilo, djelatnici su tu svakodnevno, Stanko Čota spašava... Ali ostat će puno toga, uređena zaletišta za koplje, bacalište, optika...
Zašto je sve to bilo uništeno?
- Uspomena na Ultru nas je koštala puno. Ljudi, radite Ultru, ali pitanje je izbora, politike, hoćemo li imati sport ovdje, ili party, pse... Nismo protiv toga, ali od Ultre svi profitiraju, a ovaj se objekat uništava. Ta tehnologija, šleperi, kamioni, to ne može na stazu, na bacalište. Ne može dizalica od 50 tona na stazu, uništena je jedna atletska staza na Poljudu, hoćemo li uništiti i drugu? Garantiram da ćemo još nekoliko europskih kupova donijeti. Računajte, sad će 3000 pansiona ostati iza ovoga. Može se s atletikom raditi ozbiljan posao.
Tko je još uskočio?
- Brojne gradske tvrtke, Čistoća, Parkovi i nasadi, Cestar, ovo je zajednička utakmica. Srce mi je puno kad vidim da građani prepoznaju da je ovo prioritet. I što osjećam, možda sam subjektivan, čini mi se da bi ova atletska priča, prenešena na Salonu, turizam, povijest, mogla naći partnera u društvu, Ministarstvu turizma pa nadalje.... Imamo podršku od svih, od ministrice turizma Nikoline Brnjac, župana Blaženka Bobana, vodstva Splita i Solina...
Lijepo je da je dio natjecanja i u Solinu, na lokalitetu antičke Salone?
- Solin nam je izašao u susret, napravio sve što treba na lokalitetu Salone... Gušt je raditi kada te ljudi prihvate i zato mi nije teško. Pokazalo se i da je ASK klub koji je vojska. Odvojili smo mnoge naše članove od njihovih obitelji na pet tjedana, to se ne može platiti.

Tu je, pred vratima. Europski bacački kup u subotu i nedjelju održat će se u Splitu i Solinu. A objekti u Parku mladeži i u Saloni se glancaju, sređuju se zadnji detalji, a od grablji, lopate, čega god, ne preza ni prvi čovjek hrvatske i splitske atletike Ivan Veštić.
- Puno je ekipe, puno službi na terenu, unose i sređuju zadnje detalje. Bit će i noćnih smjena - kazao nam je Veštić.
- Pretvorilo se ovo u neslužbeno prvenstvo Europe, dolaze nam olimpijski pobjednici, svjetski prvaci, svjetski rekorderi, ovo je 20. Europski bacački kup s rekordnim brojem sudionika, najboljom kvalitetom natjecatelja. To meni i ljudima iz tima daje zamah, ali i šalje poruku europskoj atletici - promijenimo termin održavanja ovog natjecanja s ožujka na svibanj.
Tko sve dolazi?
- Ljudi su željni natjecanja, Poljaci, Nijemci, svi dolaze. Oko 530 ljudi iz Europe, 399 atletičara. Ukupna organizacija broji više od 800 ljudi, projekt je ovo koji, da priznam, ne znam bih li ga se opet uhvatio u tako malo vremena...
Split je “upao” kao rješenje jer je u Portugalu, koji je trebao biti domaćin, loša epidemiološka situacija.
- Kad smo išli ovo, odraditi posao u pet “nedjelja”, da mi sad netko to kaže, ne znam. Na ledini, na satravenoj stazi, bez organizacijske strukture, sređenih financija... Sve s ciljem da dovedemo Europu u Split, jer tko zna kad bi opet dobili priliku. Ali danas je delegat rekao da je dobro, da je jako zadovoljan. Prvi je ovo Kup koji se održava s tri kaveza za duga bacanja. Na glavnom stadionu je jedan i dva na pomoćnom, za kladivo i disk.
Uspjeli ste urediti bacalište koje je izvan stadiona?
- Na samo bacalište smo donijeli 1900 kubika zemlje, zasijali, radili... Firma Jadro je odradila veliki posao, sto čuda se radilo, sadilo, sijalo, kosilo...
Natjecat će se i na glavnom stadionu u Parku mladeži, ali i na bacalištu?
- Na glavnom terenu idu A grupe kladiva, diska i koplja, a B grupa i U 23 idu na bacalište. Kugla A muška i ženska ide u Salonu, ostala kugla je na glavnom terenu. Može se gledati kao da bacamo na dva stadiona plus Salona. To je jako zahtjevno. U ovako kratkom roku ovo napraviti, bez potpore prvenstveno vodstva Javne ustanove športski objekti na čelu s ravnateljem, našim djelatnicima, ne bismo uspjeli. Objekt s lošom strujom, nikakvom optikom... Puno se toga uskočilo, djelatnici su tu svakodnevno, Stanko Čota spašava... Ali ostat će puno toga, uređena zaletišta za koplje, bacalište, optika...
Zašto je sve to bilo uništeno?
- Uspomena na Ultru nas je koštala puno. Ljudi, radite Ultru, ali pitanje je izbora, politike, hoćemo li imati sport ovdje, ili party, pse... Nismo protiv toga, ali od Ultre svi profitiraju, a ovaj se objekat uništava. Ta tehnologija, šleperi, kamioni, to ne može na stazu, na bacalište. Ne može dizalica od 50 tona na stazu, uništena je jedna atletska staza na Poljudu, hoćemo li uništiti i drugu? Garantiram da ćemo još nekoliko europskih kupova donijeti. Računajte, sad će 3000 pansiona ostati iza ovoga. Može se s atletikom raditi ozbiljan posao.
Tko je još uskočio?
- Brojne gradske tvrtke, Čistoća, Parkovi i nasadi, Cestar, ovo je zajednička utakmica. Srce mi je puno kad vidim da građani prepoznaju da je ovo prioritet. I što osjećam, možda sam subjektivan, čini mi se da bi ova atletska priča, prenešena na Salonu, turizam, povijest, mogla naći partnera u društvu, Ministarstvu turizma pa nadalje.... Imamo podršku od svih, od ministrice turizma Nikoline Brnjac, župana Blaženka Bobana, vodstva Splita i Solina...
Lijepo je da je dio natjecanja i u Solinu, na lokalitetu antičke Salone?
- Solin nam je izašao u susret, napravio sve što treba na lokalitetu Salone... Gušt je raditi kada te ljudi prihvate i zato mi nije teško. Pokazalo se i da je ASK klub koji je vojska. Odvojili smo mnoge naše članove od njihovih obitelji na pet tjedana, to se ne može platiti.
