Spreman sam kao zmaj, kazao je nakon plasmana u finale samca na OI veslač Damir Martin.

Srebrni u samcu iz Rio de Janeira 2016. godine, hrvatski veslač Damir Martin plasirao se u finale Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju.

Martin je u svojoj polufinalnoj skupini zauzeo drugo mjesto iza odličnog Norvežanina Kjetila Borcha, a ispred Litvanca Mindaugasa Grškonisa.

Već nakon 200-tinjak metara Martin je zasjeo na drugo mjesto, na prvom prolazu bio 94 stotinke iza Borcha, na polovici utrke njegov je zaostatak iznosio 97 stotinki, 500 metara prije cilja 1.28 sekundi, da bi mu na kraju Borch ipak stvorio 2.35 sekundi razlike. No, plasman među šest najboljih ustvari niti u jednom trenutku nije dolazio u pitanje.

Martin se mučio s održavanjem pravca, pa je u nekoliko navrata skrenuo sa staze i pokupio plutače.

"Zadovoljan sam plasmanom u finale, ali veslanjem sigurno ne. Mučio sam se s održavanjem pravca, vjetar me odnio na plutače, kojih sam četiri ili pet vukao. Da nije bilo toga uspio doći Norvežaninu na minimalan zaostatak. Spreman sam kao zmaj. Izveslao sam ovakvu utrku, iako sam vukao bove za sobom. Stvarno sam spreman", kazao je popularni Damšo.

Ovim uspjehom Martin je upotpunio odličan dan za hrvatsko veslanje u Tokiju, ranije u četvrtak su braća Valent i Martin Sinković osvojili naslov olimpijskih pobjednika u dvojcu. Treća je to olimpijska medalja za braću Sinković i to u trećoj različitojh disciplini, 2012. su u Londonu osvojili srebro u četvercu na pariće, a tada je s njima u čamcu bio i Martin, a 2016. u Londonu zlato u dvojcu na pariće.

Martinu, Borchu i Griškonisu u A finalu, koji je na programu u peta u 2.45 sati po hrvatskom vremenu, pridružili su se Grk Stefanos Ntoukousis, koji je ostvario najbolje vrijeme u polufinalima, Danac Sverri Nielsen i Rus Aleksandar Vjazovkin, dok je veliki favorit Nijemac Oliver Zeidler ostao bez finala jer je u cilj ušao kao četvrti.

Spreman sam kao zmaj, kazao je nakon plasmana u finale samca na OI veslač Damir Martin.

Srebrni u samcu iz Rio de Janeira 2016. godine, hrvatski veslač Damir Martin plasirao se u finale Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju.

Martin je u svojoj polufinalnoj skupini zauzeo drugo mjesto iza odličnog Norvežanina Kjetila Borcha, a ispred Litvanca Mindaugasa Grškonisa.

Već nakon 200-tinjak metara Martin je zasjeo na drugo mjesto, na prvom prolazu bio 94 stotinke iza Borcha, na polovici utrke njegov je zaostatak iznosio 97 stotinki, 500 metara prije cilja 1.28 sekundi, da bi mu na kraju Borch ipak stvorio 2.35 sekundi razlike. No, plasman među šest najboljih ustvari niti u jednom trenutku nije dolazio u pitanje.

Martin se mučio s održavanjem pravca, pa je u nekoliko navrata skrenuo sa staze i pokupio plutače.

"Zadovoljan sam plasmanom u finale, ali veslanjem sigurno ne. Mučio sam se s održavanjem pravca, vjetar me odnio na plutače, kojih sam četiri ili pet vukao. Da nije bilo toga uspio doći Norvežaninu na minimalan zaostatak. Spreman sam kao zmaj. Izveslao sam ovakvu utrku, iako sam vukao bove za sobom. Stvarno sam spreman", kazao je popularni Damšo.

Ovim uspjehom Martin je upotpunio odličan dan za hrvatsko veslanje u Tokiju, ranije u četvrtak su braća Valent i Martin Sinković osvojili naslov olimpijskih pobjednika u dvojcu. Treća je to olimpijska medalja za braću Sinković i to u trećoj različitojh disciplini, 2012. su u Londonu osvojili srebro u četvercu na pariće, a tada je s njima u čamcu bio i Martin, a 2016. u Londonu zlato u dvojcu na pariće.

Martinu, Borchu i Griškonisu u A finalu, koji je na programu u peta u 2.45 sati po hrvatskom vremenu, pridružili su se Grk Stefanos Ntoukousis, koji je ostvario najbolje vrijeme u polufinalima, Danac Sverri Nielsen i Rus Aleksandar Vjazovkin, dok je veliki favorit Nijemac Oliver Zeidler ostao bez finala jer je u cilj ušao kao četvrti.

Spreman sam kao zmaj, kazao je nakon plasmana u finale samca na OI veslač Damir Martin.

Srebrni u samcu iz Rio de Janeira 2016. godine, hrvatski veslač Damir Martin plasirao se u finale Olimpijskih igara u Tokiju.

Martin je u svojoj polufinalnoj skupini zauzeo drugo mjesto iza odličnog Norvežanina Kjetila Borcha, a ispred Litvanca Mindaugasa Grškonisa.

Već nakon 200-tinjak metara Martin je zasjeo na drugo mjesto, na prvom prolazu bio 94 stotinke iza Borcha, na polovici utrke njegov je zaostatak iznosio 97 stotinki, 500 metara prije cilja 1.28 sekundi, da bi mu na kraju Borch ipak stvorio 2.35 sekundi razlike. No, plasman među šest najboljih ustvari niti u jednom trenutku nije dolazio u pitanje.

Martin se mučio s održavanjem pravca, pa je u nekoliko navrata skrenuo sa staze i pokupio...
