Milan je u subotu proslavio titulu prvaka Italije, što su navijači “rossonera” jedva dočekali nakon pet uzastopnih naslova ljutoga gradskog rivala Intera.

S druge strane, interistima se nakon fantastične prošle sezone, u kojoj su osvojili trostruku krunu, dogodila loša sezona, nisu uspjeli obraniti naslov ni europskoga ni talijanskoga prvaka. U igri su još jedino za talijanski kup, no taj trofej bio bi slaba utjeha navijačima.

Sezonu je zapravo obilježio katastrofalni tjedan početkom travnja, kada je Inter izgubio gradski derbi s Milanom (0:3), koji je odlučio o prvaku, te u četvrtfinalu Lige prvaka kod kuće poražen od Schalkea s čak 2:5.

Ta dva katastrofalna rezultata, u kojima je Interova obrana primila čak osam golova, dovela su pod veliki znak pitanja budućnost trenera Leonarda, koji je početkom 2011. godine naslijedio Rafaela Beniteza, koji nije dugo izdržao na klupi nakon što je prošloga ljeta doveden umjesto Josea Mourinha.

Ipak, Inter se uspio izvući iz krize, nakon dva ključna poraza još je izgubio u uzvratu od Schalkea (1:2), te na prvenstvenome gostovanju u Parmi (0:2). Otada su uslijedile četiri uzastopne pobjede, koje su počele trijumfom nad Romom na Olimpicu u polufinalu kupa. To je Leonardu vratilo nadu da svoju poziciju može zadržati i sljedeće sezone.

- U nama još ima gorčine jer u ključnome trenutku u derbiju s Milanom nismo uspjeli preskočiti “rossonere” na tablici. Imam posao i želim ostati tu, želim nastaviti sljedeće sezone. Nemam sumnji vezanih za moju budućnost, ne želim otići i nikada to nisam zatražio. Kada sam stigao, nije se ni mislilo da možemo stići Milan. Gorčina ostaje, no Inter je ove sezone imao igrače za borbu na sva tri fronta, i tako je i bilo. Drugi smo u prvenstvu, ispali smo iz Lige prvaka u četvrtfinalu u trenutku kada nismo bili u formi, i u igri smo za kup. Imamo kontinuitet rezultata, zadnjih su godina rijetke momčadi učinile nešto slično - rekao je Leonardo.

Milan je u subotu proslavio titulu prvaka Italije, što su navijači “rossonera” jedva dočekali nakon pet uzastopnih naslova ljutoga gradskog rivala Intera.

S druge strane, interistima se nakon fantastične prošle sezone, u kojoj su osvojili trostruku krunu, dogodila loša sezona, nisu uspjeli obraniti naslov ni europskoga ni talijanskoga prvaka. U igri su još jedino za talijanski kup, no taj trofej bio bi slaba utjeha navijačima.

Sezonu je zapravo obilježio katastrofalni tjedan početkom travnja, kada je Inter izgubio gradski derbi s Milanom (0:3), koji je odlučio o prvaku, te u četvrtfinalu Lige prvaka kod kuće poražen od Schalkea s čak 2:5.

Ta dva katastrofalna rezultata, u kojima je Interova obrana primila čak osam golova, dovela su pod veliki znak pitanja budućnost trenera Leonarda, koji je početkom 2011. godine naslijedio Rafaela Beniteza, koji nije dugo izdržao na klupi nakon što je prošloga ljeta doveden umjesto Josea Mourinha.

Ipak, Inter se uspio izvući iz krize, nakon dva ključna poraza još je izgubio u uzvratu od Schalkea (1:2), te na prvenstvenome gostovanju u Parmi (0:2). Otada su uslijedile četiri uzastopne pobjede, koje su počele trijumfom nad Romom na Olimpicu u polufinalu kupa. To je Leonardu vratilo nadu da svoju poziciju može zadržati i sljedeće sezone.

- U nama još ima gorčine jer u ključnome trenutku u derbiju s Milanom nismo uspjeli preskočiti “rossonere” na tablici. Imam posao i želim ostati tu, želim nastaviti sljedeće sezone. Nemam sumnji vezanih za moju budućnost, ne želim otići i nikada to nisam zatražio. Kada sam stigao, nije se ni mislilo da možemo stići Milan. Gorčina ostaje, no Inter je ove sezone imao igrače za borbu na sva tri fronta, i tako je i bilo. Drugi smo u prvenstvu, ispali smo iz Lige prvaka u četvrtfinalu u trenutku kada nismo bili u formi, i u igri smo za kup. Imamo kontinuitet rezultata, zadnjih su godina rijetke momčadi učinile nešto slično - rekao je Leonardo.
