Doc. dr. sc. Mihajlo Lojpur, specijalist anesteziologije s Klinike za anesteziologiju, reanimatologiju i intenzivno liječenje KBC-a Split, cijeli je svoj radni vijek – a još mu je dvije i pol godine do mirovine – posvetio spašavanju ljudskih života i kaže da je borba protiv COVID-a zasigurno najizazovnije razdoblje njegova rada.

– Mi radimo sve što možemo, a ljudi opet umiru. To je za nas anesteziologe jednostavno neprihvatljivo i nemoguće je pomiriti se s time. Uza sve to pacijenti su prepadnuti i razmišljaju "što ću ja ako dođem na respirator".

No, isti ti pacijenti moraju znati da strojna ventilacija ne znači smrt, jer bi oni umrli odmah ako ih ne priključimo na stroj koji diše umjesto njih. Za to vrijeme, dok su oni na strojnoj ventilaciji, mi liječimo njihova pluća. No, ovaj virus je toliko devastirajući da liječenje često ne daje rezultata. I to nas anesteziologe frustrira i "ubija", kazuje dr. Lojpur, te napominje:

U toj borbi s virusom i vremenom cijeli svijet nastoji riješiti zagonetku zvanu koronavirus.

– Rezultati su nam lošiji nego što smo mislili da će biti. Prije su nam umirali stariji ljudi koji imaju mnoge kronične bolesti i čiji su organizmi već nagriženi. A, sada su nam pacijenti sve mlađi, dosad zdravi ljudi, koji nerijetko umru, a mi smo se nadali da će preživjeti. To je frustrirajuće. Uložio si sve svoje znanje, dao si od sebe najbolje što možeš, izložio si i sebe mogućnosti zaraze, a pacijent ti je umro – kazuje dr. Lojpur.

Iako anesteziolozi liječe najteže COVID-bolesnike, jako ih malo ima u javnosti. O njima se rijetko govori i piše, njih nitko ne poziva u TV-emisije.

Zadnja nada

– Uvijek se spominju infektolozi, epidemiolozi, naši kolege koji su velikim dijelom iznijeli ovu pandemiju na svojim leđima. No, nas jako malo ili gotovo nikako ne spominju, a mi smo oni koji tijela koja su teško izmorena bolešću pokušavamo vratiti život. Svugdje u svijetu, u svim centrima, o najtežim bolesnicima brinu anesteziolozi i oni će zadnji "puknuti" jer su navikli na ovo teško okruženje u kojemu rade – kazuje dr. Lojpur.

Naš se sugovornik prisjeća Domovinskog rata, koji ga je odveo na razna bojišta.

– U ratu smo išli svugdje. Anesteziolog je držao na životu svakog teško ozlijeđenog borca dok ga nije preuzeo kirurg. Nikada neću zaboraviti kada su moji kolege liječnici išli vidjeti jedno oslobođeno mjesto, koje je bilo udaljeno sedam kilometara od našeg položaja. I ja sam htio ići s njima, ali su mi rekli: "Nemoj ti, možda dođe netko teško ozlijeđen pa ga bude trebalo održavati na životu".

Kad nitko, nijedan liječnik ne može riješiti neki problem, zovu nas anesteziologe, i uvijek postave isto pitanje: "Kako ste uspjeli to riješiti?" Ja im uvijek isto odgovorim: "Morao sam, jer poslije anesteziologa nema nikog tko bi to mogao riješiti."

Svugdje u svijetu, u svim centrima, o najtežim bolesnicima brinu anesteziolozi i oni će zadnji "puknuti" jer su navikli na okruženje u kojemu rade - kazuje dr. Lojpur.

Doc. dr. sc. Mihajlo Lojpur, specijalist anesteziologije s Klinike za anesteziologiju, reanimatologiju i intenzivno liječenje KBC-a Split, cijeli je svoj radni vijek – a još mu je dvije i pol godine do mirovine – posvetio spašavanju ljudskih života i kaže da je borba protiv COVID-a zasigurno najizazovnije razdoblje njegova rada.

– Mi radimo sve što možemo, a ljudi opet umiru. To je za nas anesteziologe jednostavno neprihvatljivo i nemoguće je pomiriti se s time. Uza sve to pacijenti su prepadnuti i razmišljaju "što ću ja ako dođem na respirator".

No, isti ti pacijenti moraju znati da strojna ventilacija ne znači smrt, jer bi oni umrli odmah ako ih ne priključimo na stroj koji diše umjesto njih. Za to vrijeme, dok su oni na strojnoj ventilaciji, mi liječimo njihova pluća. No, ovaj virus je toliko devastirajući da liječenje često ne daje rezultata. I to nas anesteziologe frustrira i "ubija", kazuje dr. Lojpur, te napominje:

U toj borbi s virusom i vremenom cijeli svijet nastoji riješiti zagonetku zvanu koronavirus.

– Rezultati su nam lošiji nego što smo mislili da će biti. Prije su nam umirali stariji ljudi koji imaju mnoge kronične bolesti i čiji su organizmi već nagriženi. A, sada su nam pacijenti sve mlađi, dosad zdravi ljudi, koji nerijetko umru, a mi smo se nadali da će preživjeti. To je frustrirajuće. Uložio si sve svoje znanje, dao si od sebe najbolje što možeš, izložio si i sebe mogućnosti zaraze, a pacijent ti je umro – kazuje dr. Lojpur.

Iako anesteziolozi liječe najteže COVID-bolesnike, jako ih malo ima u javnosti. O njima se rijetko govori i piše, njih nitko ne poziva u TV-emisije.

Zadnja nada

– Uvijek se spominju infektolozi, epidemiolozi, naši kolege koji su velikim dijelom iznijeli ovu pandemiju na svojim leđima. No, nas jako malo ili gotovo nikako ne spominju, a mi smo oni koji tijela koja su teško izmorena bolešću pokušavamo vratiti život. Svugdje u svijetu, u svim centrima, o najtežim bolesnicima brinu anesteziolozi i oni će zadnji "puknuti" jer su navikli na ovo teško okruženje u kojemu rade – kazuje dr. Lojpur.

Naš se sugovornik prisjeća Domovinskog rata, koji ga je odveo na razna bojišta.

– U ratu smo išli svugdje. Anesteziolog je držao na životu svakog teško ozlijeđenog borca dok ga nije preuzeo kirurg. Nikada neću zaboraviti kada su moji kolege liječnici išli vidjeti jedno oslobođeno mjesto, koje je bilo udaljeno sedam kilometara od našeg položaja. I ja sam htio ići s njima, ali su mi rekli: "Nemoj ti, možda dođe netko teško ozlijeđen pa ga bude trebalo održavati na životu".

Kad nitko, nijedan liječnik ne može riješiti neki problem, zovu nas anesteziologe, i uvijek postave isto pitanje: "Kako ste uspjeli to riješiti?" Ja im uvijek isto odgovorim: "Morao sam, jer poslije anesteziologa nema nikog tko bi to mogao riješiti."

Doc. dr. sc. Mihajlo Lojpur, specijalist anesteziologije s Klinike za anesteziologiju, reanimatologiju i intenzivno liječenje KBC-a Split, cijeli je svoj radni vijek – a još mu je dvije i pol godine do mirovine – posvetio spašavanju ljudskih života i kaže da je borba protiv COVID-a zasigurno najizazovnije razdoblje njegova rada.

– Mi radimo sve što možemo, a ljudi opet umiru. To je za nas anesteziologe jednostavno neprihvatljivo i nemoguće je pomiriti se s time. Uza sve to pacijenti su prepadnuti i razmišljaju "što ću ja ako dođem na respirator".

No, isti ti pacijenti moraju znati da strojna ventilacija ne znači smrt, jer bi oni umrli odmah ako ih ne priključimo na stroj koji diše umjesto njih. Za to vrijeme, dok su oni na strojnoj ventilaciji, mi liječimo njihova pluća....
