Smithsi su se proslavili upravo albumom i pjesmom “Meat is murder”, koja je postala neizostavni dio pokreta za prava životinja. Superbrands također diže svoj glas za životinje.
Pjesma “The Hand Strikes Hard” govori o kanadskom lovu na tuljane, a netom nakon što je snimljena već je naišla na reakcije posramljenih Kanađana. Koliko je pjesma značajna govori i činjenica da je PETA, najveća organizacija za prava životinja, prepoznala važnost poruke koju Superbrands prenosi te je javno pohvalila bend na svojem web portalu.
Kontroverzni spot za pjesmu “The Hand Strikes Hard” nedavno je snimljen u okolici Zagreba.
Snježnom atmosferom spota koja podsjeća na idiličan pejzaž Kanade, bend koji čine Hrvoje, Ivan, Vatroslav te dugogodišnji vegetarijanac, pjevač Adi, želi ukazati na povezanost problema koji se, iako se događa u nama dalekoj Kanadi, i dalje tiče svih stanovnika. Zajedno moramo raditi na tome da brutalnost kanadskog lova na tuljane prestane.
Udruga Prijatelji životinja poziva sve građane na promociju spota “The Hand Strikes Hard” koja će se održati 18. siječnja 2011. u 20 sati u klubu SAX, Palmotićeva 22/2.
Uz promociju spota, koji je režirala i snimila Mariana Cerovečki, očekuje vas i nastup benda, ograničena serija majica posebno napravljenih za ovaj spot te veganska zakuska uz ugodno druženje.
O njihovom angažmanu protiv lova na tuljane u Kanadi pjevač Adi rekao je:
“Neke su stvari naprosto pogrešne, a pokolj tuljana u Kanadi jedna je od takvih besmislenih i nehumanih stvari. Scene bezosjećajnih lovaca koji mlate i kolju bebe tuljana, a sve kako bi europske pa i hrvatske 'dame' i 'estradne zvijezde' mogle zadovoljiti svoju taštinu i u tuđem krznu paradirati ulicama, snažno su se urezale u naša srca. Antun Branko Šimić rekao je da su pjesnici čuđenje u svijetu, ali oni su često i zgražanje i osuda. Tako ni mi nismo mogli šutjeti jer ruka kanadskih lovaca doista udara snažno, okrutno i krvavo.

[text] => {OCMSplitter}Hrvatski indie bend Superbrands već je stekao fanove u Hrvatskoj i drugim zemljama budući da svojim stilom neodoljivo podsjeća na velikane indie glazbe The Smiths, no sličnost ne ostaje samo na stilu glazbe. Smithsi su se proslavili upravo albumom i pjesmom “Meat is murder”, koja je postala neizostavni dio pokreta za prava životinja. Superbrands također diže svoj glas za životinje.
Pjesma “The Hand Strikes Hard” govori o kanadskom lovu na tuljane, a netom nakon što je snimljena već je naišla na reakcije posramljenih Kanađana. Koliko je pjesma značajna govori i činjenica da je PETA, najveća organizacija za prava životinja, prepoznala važnost poruke koju Superbrands prenosi te je javno pohvalila bend na svojem web portalu.
Kontroverzni spot za pjesmu “The Hand Strikes Hard” nedavno je snimljen u okolici Zagreba.
Snježnom atmosferom spota koja podsjeća na idiličan pejzaž Kanade, bend koji čine Hrvoje, Ivan, Vatroslav te dugogodišnji vegetarijanac, pjevač Adi, želi ukazati na povezanost problema koji se, iako se događa u nama dalekoj Kanadi, i dalje tiče svih stanovnika. Zajedno moramo raditi na tome da brutalnost kanadskog lova na tuljane prestane.
Udruga Prijatelji životinja poziva sve građane na promociju spota “The Hand Strikes Hard” koja će se održati 18. siječnja 2011. u 20 sati u klubu SAX, Palmotićeva 22/2.
Uz promociju spota, koji je režirala i snimila Mariana Cerovečki, očekuje vas i nastup benda, ograničena serija majica posebno napravljenih za ovaj spot te veganska zakuska uz ugodno druženje.
O njihovom angažmanu protiv lova na tuljane u Kanadi pjevač Adi rekao je:
“Neke su stvari naprosto pogrešne, a pokolj tuljana u Kanadi jedna je od takvih besmislenih i nehumanih stvari. Scene bezosjećajnih lovaca koji mlate i kolju bebe tuljana, a sve kako bi europske pa i hrvatske 'dame' i 'estradne zvijezde' mogle zadovoljiti svoju taštinu i u tuđem krznu paradirati ulicama, snažno su se urezale u naša srca. Antun Branko Šimić rekao je da su pjesnici čuđenje u svijetu, ali oni su često i zgražanje i osuda. Tako ni mi nismo mogli šutjeti jer ruka kanadskih lovaca doista udara snažno, okrutno i krvavo.
