Mravi mogu biti smetnja u kući, ali stručnjakinja za štetočine je rekla da popularna prirodna sredstva za odvraćanje neće pružiti dugoročno rješenje, piše Jutarnji list.
Stručnjakinja za štetočine, Vicki Simms u britanskoj emisiji This Morning podijelila je svoje mišljenje o tome koliko su kućni proizvodi poput cimeta i talka učinkoviti u uklanjanju mrava.
Toplije vrijeme znači da "mravi radnici traže hranu za svoju kraljicu".
Ako vani ima mrava, ona preporučuje da ih "ostavite na miru" jer vam "neće nauditi". Ako u kući ima mrava, rekla je da oni "traže šećernu tvar".
Crni vrtni mrav je najčešći i može se ukloniti iz kuće u nekoliko koraka.
1. Jaki mirisi – menta, citrusi ili cimet
Pronalaženje mirisa koji mravi ne vole prirodni je način da ih uklonite iz kuće, ali Vicki je rekla da nijedan od ovih prijedloga "nije znanstveno dokazan".
Neki predlažu posipanje cimeta površinama na kojima su se okupili mravi jer vole slađe okruženje.
Također se savjetuje korištenje kora citrusa limuna, limete i naranče jer blokiraju tragove koje mravi koriste za međusobnu komunikaciju.
Bijeli ocat i kava također se preporučuju za odvraćanje mrava, ali Vicki se ne slaže: "Oni će zaustaviti mrave kao privremenu mjeru, ali nisu dugoročno rješenje."
Rekla je da postoji "7000 mrava u gnijezdu u bilo kojem trenutku" i da će jednostavno pronaći drugi način da dođu do izvora hrane.
2. Talk u prahu
Tvrdi se da posipanje talka tjera mrave da se okreću jer se ne mogu provući kroz njega.
Iako je talk siguran proizvod za obitelji s kućnim ljubimcima i djecom, Vicki tvrdi da je "poznato da mravi nose više od 20 puta veću masu od svoje tjelesne" kada im se nešto nađe na putu.
Sama je isprobala talk na tragu mrava vani i rekla: "To ih je zbunilo, ali mravi su tada pozvali druge radnike da dođu i pomognu im zaobići talk."
3. Pronađite izvor hrane
Vicki je savjetovala da promatrate mrave, jer će vam reći kamo idu i odvest će vas do izvora hrane, nakon čega se vraćaju u svoje gnijezdo, piše Jutarnji list.
Mravi obično traže zašećerene tvari, stoga obrišite ljepljive mrlje i provjerite jesu li predmeti poput šećera dobro zatvoreni.

Ako vani ima mrava, ona preporučuje da ih "ostavite na miru" jer vam "neće nauditi". Ako u kući ima mrava, rekla je da oni "traže šećernu tvar".
Crni vrtni mrav je najčešći i može se ukloniti iz kuće u nekoliko koraka.
1. Jaki mirisi – menta, citrusi ili cimet
Pronalaženje mirisa koji mravi ne vole prirodni je način da ih uklonite iz kuće, ali Vicki je rekla da nijedan od ovih prijedloga "nije znanstveno dokazan".
Neki predlažu posipanje cimeta površinama na kojima su se okupili mravi jer vole slađe okruženje.
Također se savjetuje korištenje kora citrusa limuna, limete i naranče jer blokiraju tragove koje mravi koriste za međusobnu komunikaciju.
Bijeli ocat i kava također se preporučuju za odvraćanje mrava, ali Vicki se ne slaže: "Oni će zaustaviti mrave kao privremenu mjeru, ali nisu dugoročno rješenje."
Rekla je da postoji "7000 mrava u gnijezdu u bilo kojem trenutku" i da će jednostavno pronaći drugi način da dođu do izvora hrane.
2. Talk u prahu
Tvrdi se da posipanje talka tjera mrave da se okreću jer se ne mogu provući kroz njega.
Iako je talk siguran proizvod za obitelji s kućnim ljubimcima i djecom, Vicki tvrdi da je "poznato da mravi nose više od 20 puta veću masu od svoje tjelesne" kada im se nešto nađe na putu.
Sama je isprobala talk na tragu mrava vani i rekla: "To ih je zbunilo, ali mravi su tada pozvali druge radnike da dođu i pomognu im zaobići talk."
3. Pronađite izvor hrane
Vicki je savjetovala da promatrate mrave, jer će vam reći kamo idu i odvest će vas do izvora hrane, nakon čega se vraćaju u svoje gnijezdo, piše Jutarnji list.
Mravi obično traže zašećerene tvari, stoga obrišite ljepljive mrlje i provjerite jesu li predmeti poput šećera dobro zatvoreni.
4. Blokirajte ulazne točke
Pronađite gdje mravi ulaze i izlaze i zatvorite to mjesto.
