Jedna od apsolutno najljepših tenisačica svijeta - Maria Sharapova, na svoj trideset i peti rođendan na Instagramu je objavila kako je, po prvi put, trudna.
Peterostruka osvajačica Grand Slama, koja se iz sporta povukla 2020., vijest je podijelila sa svojih 4,2 milijuna pratitelja.
"Dragocjeni počeci!!!", napisala je uz fotografiju snimljenu na plaži na kojoj pozira nasmijana i rukama se drži za trbuščić.

Sharapova se nedavno udala za britanskog biznismena Alexandera Gilkesa s kojim će dobiti dijete.
Premda se tijekom svoje karijere natjecala pod ruskom zastavom i jedina je Ruskinja koja je osvojila Grand Slam, Sharapova živi u Sjedinjenim Državama otkako je kao talentirana mlada sportašica stigla u tu zemlju.
Maria Yuryevna Sharapova rođena je 19. travnja 1987. bivša je ruska tenisačica broj 1. Natjecala se na WTA Touru od 2001. do 2020. i bila je prva u ženskoj konkurenciji 21 tjedan. Jedna je od deset žena i jedina Ruskinja koja je osvojila Grand Slam u karijeri.
Ne smije se zaboraviti niti olimpijska medalja, srebro na Olimpijadi u Londonu 2012. godine.

Šarapova je prvi put postala broj 1 svijeta 22. kolovoza 2005. u dobi od 18 godina, a posljednja je tu poziciju držala peti put četiri tjedna od 11. lipnja 2012. do 8. srpnja 2012..
Osvojila je pet velikih naslova - dva na French Openu i po jednu na Australian Openu, Wimbledonu i US Openu. Osvojila je ukupno 36 naslova, uključujući naslov prvaka na kraju godine u svom debiju 2004. Osvojila je i tri naslova u parovima.
Mrlja na njezinoj karijeri jest pad na doping testu na Australian Openu 2016. U pitanju je bio meldonij, tvar koju je početkom te iste godine zabranila Svjetska antidopinška agencija (WADA). U lipnju 2016., Međunarodna teniska federacija (ITF) suspendirala ju na pune dvije godine, da bi u listopadu 2016. suspenzija smanjena na 15 mjeseci, počevši od datuma neuspjelog testa, budući da je Sportski arbitražni sud utvrdio da "nema bitne krivnje" te da je tvar uzela "na temelju liječnička preporuka... s dobrom vjerom da je prikladna i u skladu s relevantnim pravilima."
Stoga se na teniske terene vratila već 26. travnja 2017. na Porsche Tennis Grand Prixu.
Na terenima je, osim zbog pobjeda, suparnice živcirala i glasnim uzvicima kod svakog udarca, pa su neke od protivnica s druge strane mreže i službeno prosvjedovale, ali bez rezultata.
No, svaka čast tenisu...ali Sharapova je posebno blistala na manekenskim poslovima.
Pojavila se u mnogim reklamama, uključujući one za Nike, Prince i Canon, a bila je i zaštitno lice nekoliko modnih kuća, među kojima se ističe Cole Haan.

Prema Forbesu, proglašena je najplaćenijom sportašicom na svijetu 11 uzastopnih godina i zaradila je 285 milijuna američkih dolara (uključujući novčanu nagradu) otkako je postala profesionalka 2001. godine.

Sharapova se nedavno udala za britanskog biznismena Alexandera Gilkesa s kojim će dobiti dijete.
Premda se tijekom svoje karijere natjecala pod ruskom zastavom i jedina je Ruskinja koja je osvojila Grand Slam, Sharapova živi u Sjedinjenim Državama otkako je kao talentirana mlada sportašica stigla u tu zemlju.
Maria Yuryevna Sharapova rođena je 19. travnja 1987. bivša je ruska tenisačica broj 1. Natjecala se na WTA Touru od 2001. do 2020. i bila je prva u ženskoj konkurenciji 21 tjedan. Jedna je od deset žena i jedina Ruskinja koja je osvojila Grand Slam u karijeri.

Stoga se na teniske terene vratila već 26. travnja 2017. na Porsche Tennis Grand Prixu.
Na terenima je, osim zbog pobjeda, suparnice živcirala i glasnim uzvicima kod svakog udarca, pa su neke od protivnica s druge strane mreže i službeno prosvjedovale, ali bez rezultata.
