Višegodišnjom selekcijom slovenski su stručnjaci uspjeli uzgojiti sortu kokoši u čijim je jajima vrlo visoka koncentracija holina, a takva "ljekovita" jaja usporavaju napredovanje Alzheimerove bolesti i demencije, pišu slovenski mediji.
Da konzumiranje jaja kokoši "šentjernejske sorte" pomaže oboljelima od Alzheimera i dementnim osobama potvrdila je analiza Kemijskog instituta u Ljubljani, objavila je Slovenska televizija u prilogu o njihovoj kvaliteti i zdravstvenim koristima uživanja namirnica koje sadrže holin.
"Jaje od te kokoši nazvali smo 'holinček' jer sadržava mnogo holina. To je tvar važna za funkcioniranje stanica, a suzbija nastanak rane demencije i Alzheimerove bolesti," kazao je Stane Bregar iz udruge "Gallus Bartolomaeus" koja promovira uzgoj takve kokošje vrste.
Zanimljivo je da je ta vrsta zapravo dobila naziv prema pijetlu, što je jedinstven slučaj u svijetu. Riječ je o vrsti "šentjernejski pijetao" (lat. Gallus bartholomaeus) koja je po nekim podacima u krajevima oko mjesta Šentjernej uzgajana još od vremena starih Kelta, a danas tog kokota općina ima i u svom grbu kao simbol.
"Pijetao kojega popularno zovemo bartolomejček bitan je čimbenik izvanredne kvalitete naših jaja", tvrdi Bregar.
Znanstveno je utvrđeno da taj kokot, manje težine od ostalih sorti, "drži" jato od oko 15 kokoši, 50 posto više nego što je to slučaj s drugim vrstama.
"Narodski rečeno, naš pijetao ima nešto veći libido od ostalih. Kvaliteti jaja pomaže i to što su naše kokoši nesilice na slobodnoj ispaši u čistoj prirodi", kazao je Bregar za "Slovenske novice".
Slovenski mediji navode da se razmišlja čak i o osnivanju "genske banke" kako bi se sjeme pijetla iz Šentjerneja očuvalo za buduće generacije, ako bi se dogodilo da mu zaprijeti neka degenerativna bolest ili izumiranje.

Višegodišnjom selekcijom slovenski su stručnjaci uspjeli uzgojiti sortu kokoši u čijim je jajima vrlo visoka koncentracija holina, a takva "ljekovita" jaja usporavaju napredovanje Alzheimerove bolesti i demencije, pišu slovenski mediji.
Da konzumiranje jaja kokoši "šentjernejske sorte" pomaže oboljelima od Alzheimera i dementnim osobama potvrdila je analiza Kemijskog instituta u Ljubljani, objavila je Slovenska televizija u prilogu o njihovoj kvaliteti i zdravstvenim koristima uživanja namirnica koje sadrže holin.
"Jaje od te kokoši nazvali smo 'holinček' jer sadržava mnogo holina. To je tvar važna za funkcioniranje stanica, a suzbija nastanak rane demencije i Alzheimerove bolesti," kazao je Stane Bregar iz udruge "Gallus Bartolomaeus" koja promovira uzgoj takve kokošje vrste.
Zanimljivo je da je ta vrsta zapravo dobila naziv prema pijetlu, što je jedinstven slučaj u svijetu. Riječ je o vrsti "šentjernejski pijetao" (lat. Gallus bartholomaeus) koja je po nekim podacima u krajevima oko mjesta Šentjernej uzgajana još od vremena starih Kelta, a danas tog kokota općina ima i u svom grbu kao simbol.
"Pijetao kojega popularno zovemo bartolomejček bitan je čimbenik izvanredne kvalitete naših jaja", tvrdi Bregar.
Znanstveno je utvrđeno da taj kokot, manje težine od ostalih sorti, "drži" jato od oko 15 kokoši, 50 posto više nego što je to slučaj s drugim vrstama.
"Narodski rečeno, naš pijetao ima nešto veći libido od ostalih. Kvaliteti jaja pomaže i to što su naše kokoši nesilice na slobodnoj ispaši u čistoj prirodi", kazao je Bregar za "Slovenske novice".
Slovenski mediji navode da se razmišlja čak i o osnivanju "genske banke" kako bi se sjeme pijetla iz Šentjerneja očuvalo za buduće generacije, ako bi se dogodilo da mu zaprijeti neka degenerativna bolest ili izumiranje.
