Hrvatski povjesničar filma i egiptolog, nekadašnji ravnatelj HAVC-a Daniel Rafaelić stao je uz bok najvećim svjetskim egiptolozima koji su sudjelovali u pisanju kapitalnog djela "Povijest svjetske egiptologije" (A History of World Egyptology).

Knjigu je upravo objavio ugledni Cambridge University Press, čime je njena iznimna znanstvena razina dodatno potvrđena.

Urednici izdanja ugledni su znanstvenici Andrew Bednarski, Aidan Dodson i Salima Ikram, koja je pozvala Rafaelića da bude jedan od autora.

- G. Rafaelića sam upoznala u Kairu i shvatila sam da bi on bio izvrstan autor koji nam može pružiti pregled egiptomanije i filmova o drevnom Egiptu iz cijelog svijeta. Njegovo je znanje o popularnoj recepciji drevnog Egipta zapanjujuće. Povijest svjetske egiptologije inače je prva knjiga koja pruža analizu povijesti egiptologije po zemljama s posebnim naglaskom na popularnu kulturu. Zato se nadam da će ova knjiga postaviti nove akademske standarde i postati osnova svakog budućeg bavljenja ovom temom, rekla je Ikram.

EGIPTA U ZAGREBU NEMA VEĆ 60 GODINA

Poglavlje Daniela Rafaelića, uz očekivane filmove poput "Deset zapovijedi", "Kleopatre" ili "Mumije", detaljno se bavi i manje poznatim njemačkim i austrijskim nijemim filmovima. Posebno važan dio njegova opsežnog poglavlja od šezdesetak stranica  prikaz je snimanja danas gotovo zaboravljena filma "Maciste u Dolini kraljeva", koji se u Zagrebu snimao 1960. godine. Tada su  jedini put raskošne staroegipatske kulise resile zagrebački glavni grad.

- Osjećam se iznimno privilegirano biti u društvu najvećih suvremenih egiptologa, ljudi čiji je vrhunski znanstveni rad moja osnovna literatura posljednjih trideset godina, a posebno tijekom mog studija egiptologije na The University of Manchester.

Prilika da u takav klub unesem naše, hrvatske, mirise i boje ispunja me neopisivom srećom. Prilika da svijetu otkrijem dio njihove, ali i naše filmske povijesti jedinstvena je u životu i već noćima ne spavam čekajući kada će poštar pozvoniti s prvim primjercima knjige“, rekao je Rafaelić.

Opsežna i kapitalna 'Povijest svjetske egiptologije' bit će dostupna u svijetu pred novu godinu, a cijena od 135 funti ne činis e prevelikom u vrijeme darivanja i smanjenih mogućnosti putovanja u Egipat.

Hrvatski povjesničar filma i egiptolog, nekadašnji ravnatelj HAVC-a Daniel Rafaelić stao je uz bok najvećim svjetskim egiptolozima koji su sudjelovali u pisanju kapitalnog djela "Povijest svjetske egiptologije" (A History of World Egyptology).

Knjigu je upravo objavio ugledni Cambridge University Press, čime je njena iznimna znanstvena razina dodatno potvrđena.

Urednici izdanja ugledni su znanstvenici Andrew Bednarski, Aidan Dodson i Salima Ikram, koja je pozvala Rafaelića da bude jedan od autora.

- G. Rafaelića sam upoznala u Kairu i shvatila sam da bi on bio izvrstan autor koji nam može pružiti pregled egiptomanije i filmova o drevnom Egiptu iz cijelog svijeta. Njegovo je znanje o popularnoj recepciji drevnog Egipta zapanjujuće. Povijest svjetske egiptologije inače je prva knjiga koja pruža analizu povijesti egiptologije po zemljama s posebnim naglaskom na popularnu kulturu. Zato se nadam da će ova knjiga postaviti nove akademske standarde i postati osnova svakog budućeg bavljenja ovom temom, rekla je Ikram.

EGIPTA U ZAGREBU NEMA VEĆ 60 GODINA

Poglavlje Daniela Rafaelića, uz očekivane filmove poput "Deset zapovijedi", "Kleopatre" ili "Mumije", detaljno se bavi i manje poznatim njemačkim i austrijskim nijemim filmovima. Posebno važan dio njegova opsežnog poglavlja od šezdesetak stranica  prikaz je snimanja danas gotovo zaboravljena filma "Maciste u Dolini kraljeva", koji se u Zagrebu snimao 1960. godine. - Osjećam se iznimno privilegirano biti u društvu najvećih suvremenih egiptologa, ljudi čiji je vrhunski znanstveni rad moja osnovna literatura posljednjih trideset godina, a posebno tijekom mog studija egiptologije na The University of Manchester.

Prilika da u takav klub unesem naše, hrvatske, mirise i boje ispunja me neopisivom srećom. Prilika da svijetu otkrijem dio njihove, ali i naše filmske povijesti jedinstvena je u životu i već noćima ne spavam čekajući kada će poštar pozvoniti s prvim primjercima knjige“, rekao je Rafaelić.

Opsežna i kapitalna 'Povijest svjetske egiptologije' bit će dostupna u svijetu pred novu godinu, a cijena od 135 funti ne činis e prevelikom u vrijeme darivanja i smanjenih mogućnosti putovanja u Egipat.

Hrvatski povjesničar filma i egiptolog, nekadašnji ravnatelj HAVC-a Daniel Rafaelić stao je uz bok najvećim svjetskim egiptolozima koji su sudjelovali u pisanju kapitalnog djela "Povijest svjetske egiptologije" (A History of World Egyptology).

Knjigu je upravo objavio ugledni Cambridge University Press, čime je njena iznimna znanstvena razina dodatno potvrđena.

Urednici izdanja ugledni su znanstvenici Andrew Bednarski, Aidan Dodson i Salima Ikram, koja je pozvala Rafaelića da bude jedan od autora.

- G. Rafaelića sam upoznala u Kairu i shvatila sam da bi on bio izvrstan autor koji nam može pružiti pregled egiptomanije i filmova o drevnom Egiptu iz cijelog svijeta. Njegovo je znanje o popularnoj recepciji drevnog Egipta zapanjujuće. Povijest svjetske egiptologije inače je prva knjiga ...
